  1. James nodded, wiping his eyes dry, and standing back up "All right" he said with a determined nod.
  2. "Thank you." James whispered, "Thank you"
  3. Agreed.
  4. James let himself weep, "I know they're evil, but that doesn't stop the hurt." he whispered, as he let himself be held.
  5. Happy Halloween, my friends!

  6. James walked over to Shana, eyes haunted and haggard. He put a hand on her shoulder "You know, I always gave you advice, but right now I think I need some advice", he said as he forced a weak smile. "I... I... I killed." He said as he broke down, falling to his knees and beginning to sob. @Sorana
  7. You know, I came up with some interesting ideas for a Mistborn game, entirely unrelated to your post, but if you did want to have the sort of character specialization that RPGs like Skyrim and Dark Souls offer, it would be interesting if you put skill caps on Mistborn characters. Mistborn have a lot of variety, but can only acheive a certain level for each metal, while the individualized Mistings would be able to far surpass the Mistborn in their levels of power with their specific metals. So this way, you can have a balance of powers. Mistborn have variety, but only moderate strength, while Mistings are far surpassing in skill level, but only have the ability to use the one metal.
  8. James looked back at the sound of Ben's voice. "Thank the Nightwatcher, you're up." he sighed in relief. "We all seem to be fine at the moment."
  9. I can tell you why they keep it around- it sells merchandise. It's the cute animal sidekick. It's like the porgs in Star Wars.
  10. James came back to consciousness just as Ben fell unconscious. He stood up shakily, and stood over the body of his friend, weaponless, but drawing in Stormlight to give himself strength. "I won't let anyone else get hurt" he whispered to himself, "even if I must kill" his voice trailed off. So this is what living a difficult oath is like. James thought to himself, discarding the glasses into a pocket- they weren't doing much good on his eyes at the moment.
  11. Ouch. Midterms really do get in the way of everything, don't they.
  12. James opened his eyes slightly, as Shana carried him off. Was it just him, or did the hand where he'd held the sword seem greyish? He slowly went back unconscious, as memories of the killing filled his mind.
  13. Holding the blade was a true challenge, James felt his strength waning. At that moment, a Voidbringer charged him, and almost by instinct James lunged the blade through its chest. EVILLL!!!!! The blade screeched in his mind, and James pulled the blade from the Voidbringer. The dead body slumped forward, and pinned James beneath it, as he willed the blade away back into pen form. Blood began to spread from the wound, and James held back a retch. Nausea settled in as James realized the full extent of his actions. He had killed, Oh Storms he had killed. Tears began to flow from his eyes, and he couldn't hold back the vomit. He tried in vain to free himself from the Voidbringer, but the exertion proved too taxing, and he collapsed to the ground, and saw no more. @Anyone at the battle
  14. That does seem to be something that should be considered.

  16. James rushed into the backyard to the sound of violence. "Lights above" he cursed softly, and searched his mind for the Nightwatcher's presence. Nightwatcher? This is a dangerous situation, should I draw the blade? First, draw in Stormlight- without it the blade will consume your soul, and me with it. The Nightwatcher sent, panicked, but agreeing. James breathed in, charging himself with Stormlight, as he pulled a black fountain pen from his pocket. He opened the cap, and a blade bleeding black smoke appeared in his hand. Finally The blade spoke in his mind, You should draw me more. James tried his best to ignore the blade's rambling, and charged into the fray.
  17. Guys, I don't know if you know this, but Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an excellent show, even if you aren't the most into anime. I recommend it highly.

  18. Exactly! I recall making a post on this topic a few weeks ago, and the gist of it was that anybody should be able to enjoy whatever Star Wars they so choose. So, some people might not like RoS, I probably will though.
  19. James walked into the room, nearly spitting out his punch as he saw the Voidbringer being tied up. "Why is it, whenever we have reason to celebrate, we end up with some of this nonsense?" He asked, more to himself than anybody else.
  20. It does help that Lysithea has access to Pavise or Aegis through Thrysus, and can already kill any unit late game fairly safely.
  21. To what do I owe my success? The answer comes from the best philosophy I know
