  1. James walked through the hallways of the school, listening to Blind Guardian play through his earbuds- they were his favorite band, much to the surprise of many who knew him. If he had a nickel for every time someone told him that they didn't expect him to like metal music, he'd probably have enough to pay for a fast food burger. School had been going well so far, but he had a book that needed returning to the library- so the library was where he was headed, before his lunch break. You seem a bit off James The Nightwatcher sent, though she didn't speak, James could practically hear the motherly concern in her voice. It's all right, I'm just not the best in crowds, they put me on edge. He sent somewhat dismissively. A few minutes later, James walked into the library, where he noticed a few familiar faces, causing his blank face to light up in a grin- an action that was not uncommon in the library, but even less so than the found family that he had with the other Radiants. He gave a slight wave as he dropped the fantasy tome with a dense thud into the returns bin. Then he headed for the shelves- he needed another book to keep him company.
  2. It is truly a relief to have this topic visible again
  3. This is concerning... I wonder if the thread author deleted the topic? That seems like the only logical conclusion to come to at this point.
  4. Eyy @Firerust, I didn't know you were a lefty too! *proffers left hand for fist bump*
  5. I loved this movie. I felt it was an excellent capstone to the Star Wars saga, paying homage to every era of the Saga, scored by excellent John Williams music. Whatever anyone else says, I like this movie. Because, gosh dang it, let people enjoy what they enjoy! I know I shall
  6. Dimitri Baby Yoda? Dimitri Baby Yoda.
  7. Gosh dang it. The end of film fake outs have followed me to books too.
  8. I don't know if this was an issue for anyone else, but my Hardcover copy distinctly noted the second to last chapter as 'Epilogue', but then numbered the last chapter. I don't know if this is unique to my copy, or if this was an intentional fake-out, but that's certainly a major error if non-intentional
  9. Honestly I feel much the same. The premise, beginning and ending of the story are excellent, but I found the middle to be somewhat bland. The comparison I make is that it's like a sandwich, with particularly excellent bread, but a generally unsatisfying filling. I recall thinking sometime after I finished Skyward that it was going to be difficult for Brandon to top the excellence that was that book. Unfortunately, I don't quite think Brandon did top Skyward with Starsight, but I still am looking forward to book 3, and anything else Brandon has in store for us from Detritus and beyond.
  10. This. This is excellent, and perfectly encapsulates the experience of being a WoT fan.
  11. This is just absolute perfection. *Chef kiss* Bellisimo

  13. So the hype begins, and I am here for it!. While I'm as excited for TLM as much as any other Brandon fan, but Stormlight is my first love, so I'm fine to get this before TLM.
  14. You're welcome
  15. Ene, I appreciate you being up front about all this. Just know that I'm here for you if you ever need advice, or just a few good laughs. You are a wonderful human being, though we all have our flaws and struggles. You're well rounded, intelligent, and polite. Trust me, everything will work out for the best, even if you can't see it now. Sincerely, Wyn
  16. My uncle is now reading SA, and about a tenth of the way into OB, because me and my younger brother recommended it so highly.
  17. I have slowly descended into the depths of JoJo fandom. Twas a dangerous journey, fraught with peril.
