  1. Hubert strikes me as the guy who's way too into his 'Evil Chancellor' Persona- and I love it to death.
  2. I wouldn't say that it's as detailed as a Brandon Magic System (tm), but it's pretty detailed. I wouldn't call it to the point of a 'science' though, not anywhere near that level
  3. Don't worry, I'll listen to you ramble on the thread. I know that route particularly gave me some mixed feelings.
  4. I'm a compounder guys! And for the sake of immortality, we'll just go with a gold compounder:P

  5. Well, ladies and gentlemen, here we are. Today is my 2 year Shardiversary! 2 years since I finally threw myself into this community, and I don't know if I've ever made a better decision in my internet life. While he won't see this for the next year and a half, I want to thank @Firerust, for basically pestering me into signing up for the Shard, and for just being an all around good friend to me. Since this is a momentous occasion, I wanted to highlight some threads, that have really stood out to me.

First things first: The Knights Next Door. My goodness this thread is a fun time when we set our minds to actually RP'ing. I want to thank everybody involved for helping to make it the fun RP that it is. I feel like writing James Freeman has helped me improve my prose skills, which is awesome.

The Cosmere Roast Battle Tournament: Gosh, this thread really had traction for a while there didn't it? While it has slowed down significantly to near-death recently, this thread was so much fun to participate in, even if I never made it past the first round ever:P.

Sanderson Memes: This thread is ubiquitous, and I love it,  so much so that I panicked when it disappeared for a while a couple months back. It's always a good laugh to see the memes there.

The Borio Singaldi Writing Anthology: Writing a couple of stories for this one was an absolute blast, and really helped me work out my short form writing style, and for the utter absurdity of it all.

(Note: this was supposed to go up yesterday, but I've been somewhat ill and forgot to post it)

  6. Depends on how far you're willing to go. If you really want to see the game through to the end, there is a sidequest chain that unlocks one final dungeon, along with the game's most tedious boss fight. But in that dungeon, you start seeing how the pieces of the puzzle fit together, and the ties that bind these 8 individuals together, in a way a bit more subtle than I'm accustomed to seeing. I'm also kind of fond of the more personal nature of the individual character's stories. After all, we have so many RPG's that give you the whole, "Save the World" kind of narrative. Only so many games give you the kind of individual attention Octopath gives to each of its characters. Alfyn for instance, has an intense internal arc, as his convictions and ideals of what an apothecary should be are tested to their breaking point. You have Primrose, seeking vengeance against the men who murdered her father, and the dark deeds she's willing to commit, answering violence with more violence, against these interestingly depraved men. But then there are characters like Tressa, who just wants to see the world, and discover new and greater things than her childhood in a small town gave her. (a feeling I'm sure many can relate to). Olberic's story, whilst incredibly tropey, was incredibly satisfying to watch play out.
  7. Pretty 50/50 split between Untitled Goose Game, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. After I finish both of those, I think I'll go back and do a 2nd Playthrough of Octopath Traveler (A game whose story and lore I will defend to my dying breath)
  8. Solid Choices, both of them. Metru are great sets.
  9. Given that you are a fellow Bionicle fan: Which is your favorite year story-wise? Which is your favorite year set-wise?
  10. Nice! I mean wasn't there that one male toa of psionics in the Yesterday Quest? It's not entirely unheard of to have an abnormally gendered toa. Although, as I grow older, I find myself more discontent with the weird gender rules in that world
  11. @ToaCalune, your Username wouldn't happen to be a Bionicle Reference would it?
  12. Oh my storms Luna. This is Awesome!
  13. True wisdom. He really does remind me of Deadpool at times
  14. Good guy Obi-Wan. Also, as much as I love Ewan McGregor, Dang is it good to hear James Arnold Taylor's Obi-Wan again.
  15. Obi-Wan totally knows. And I mean, if anyone would know, he would. The man's essentially Anakin's father.
  16. Everyone has books that it's harder for them to get into. For me, it was Warbreaker that took me a few tries to get into. However, since reading it, it has developed into one of my favorite Sanderson books. I enjoyed Elantris, as I found it charming, but it certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea.
  17. I'm honestly not surprised that we haven't seen much from the set. I mean, given the sheer amount of fantasy adaptations that are in development, I'm sure the team at Amazon, alongside the production crew, don't want to give away anything that could give the competition an edge.
  18. It is always a good time to find another Sanderfan
  19. Oh my gosh! did you do this? it's incredible!
  20. But what about Lysithea and Felix, whose supports are filled with such wisdom as "Adults eat cake"- Felix, 2019 "Cake is the divine essence of the heavens"- Lysithea, 2019
  21. Seconding of True Statement Being true
  22. Seteth is who I consider to be the Lord character for Silver Snow
