  1. Well, I am freaking shattered. This episode broke me.
  2. Even as someone who's only read Steelheart, and wasn't fond enough of it to finish the series- take this as coming from that perspective- this is rusting excellent Ene. I love seeing kinda love-hate enemies like that, and this captures that very well.
  3. That's a perfectly reasonable way to go about it! Heck, the only pairup where I actively considered skills and bonuses was Chrobin (oh yeah, it's big brain time). People just ended up pretty decent
  4. I gave my Robin a defense boon, and with Morgan having Rightful King, he was Ignis'ing all over the place, and tanking everything before yelling "Checkmate!" and destroying anything in his path. Grandmaster is a beautiful class (C'mon Mortal Savant. Why couldn't you do something more like this?)
  5. Pair-up is so broken. It's the best. As for my ships: Ricken and Sully, Chrom and Robin (cause that pair up is even more broken than most), Lissa and Lon'qu, Gaius and Cordelia, Fredrick and Sumia, Lucina and Inigo, Stahl and Olivia, and Morgan and Severa. I wish I had been able to see some more supports, and that might be something I look into on future playthroughs/ maybe buy the Artbook.
  6. Recently finished Fire Emblem: Awakening. It's certainly nowhere near 3 Houses level of depth, but it's a fun adventure nontheless. I will say that the middle 3rd of the story with the felt very inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. It's a very fun romp through a fun world. And I'll certainly say that Id (Purpose) now hits me even harder than the first time I heard it.
  7. I believe the conditions are rout all enemies, or kill the Death Knight. Meaning with NG+, you can use crazy warp strats to murder him on the first turn, trivializing the entire chapter.
  8. I know many people might not care, but did any of y'all catch that musical nod to Duel of the Fates in Maul vs. Ahsoka? That was pretty great, not gonna lie. Also, Kenobi going to Utapau? Anakin on the Jedi Council? Things are ramping up towards the climax of Revenge of the Sith
  9. Try waiting with Dedue. He's usually strong enough to tank should the Death Knight not Crit. to quote the ever quotable Bismix, "Did you know there are people who don't wait with Dedue?... That's a crime!"
  10. I consider it canon in the same way that every other route is technically canon (after all, Cindered Shadows doesn't specify which house Byleth has chosen) There are also certain things that Rhea says to Byleth in Cindered Shadows that were previously SS exclusive info. Fire Emblem 3 Houses is a game which deals a lot with what if scenarios, so I appreciate it as a sort of alternate version of the main timeline. As for the Wolves' recruitment, that can be chalked up to the different members of the house having different requirements to be recruited to the main game as you progress through the side story. I;e, you can recruit Constance after Chapter 4 of CS, I believe.
  11. See, my strategy is to just linger around the Sanderson books in a library, and eventually you'll find someone who picks up The Way of Kings, looks over at you and says "Funny how this thing seems shorter after Oathbringer." And that's how I met @Firerust, who is the reason I'm on the Shard.
  12. This is why I freaking love Octopath Traveler

Ah, you see, but it says Good Dog, thus leaving its gender open;)

    3. King Aragorn of Gondor
  13. I'd let certain members of my family touch my leatherbounds, but not all. Essentially, letting someone touch my leatherbound is like an indicator that I trust you on a deep and emotional level
  14. So, happy 30th anniversary Fire Emblem!
  15. Me: Oh, wow, I'm gonna start online classes tomorrow, I'll probably be pretty busy. My Brain: You should start another Fire Emblem Three Houses playthrough.
  16. James smiled and waved his hand. "Hi!" he said brightly, "I'm also James, and also a Bondsmith." He added, "Not sure whether the name is a requirement for the order"
  17. Fire Emblem: Three Houses. A game steeped with emotions, world-building, and moral dilemmas. And also- Memes!

  18. Honestly, with the incredible opening sequence, I can only assume that this was intended to be a second Clone Wars Feature film at some point. And I intend to watch it that way when it's all finished.
  19. I think this latest episode has caused me to lose my mind. I'm utterly ecstatic, but also filled with dread,
  20. "So it is with all things, I suppose" James replied, his smile lessening somewhat, as he recalled the faces of those who had left, and not returned. "Yet, somehow, life goes on, in spite of our comings and goings."
  21. "Seems like every few days more Radiants spring out of the ground" James said, with a wry smile. "But I can't say I'm not glad for more company"
  22. Wait really? The face seems too lined to be Shallan.
  23. Jasnah got the last North American cover. This could easily be Jasnah. In fact, I think that's the most likely scenario.
