  1. James paused for a moment, the idea swirling around in his headspace. "I suppose a little sleuthing wouldn't do much harm" he said at last, "So long as we make sure we don't reveal ourselves to whoever is behind all this. Who knows how high up the plot goes?" In the stories, James considered to himself, This usually leads to trouble for the protagonist, and I've no desire to get anyone killed or see myself die.
  2. *Revek Disliked that* But yeah @Danex, I'll just echo Truthless's thoughts. You can really use whatever charm build works with your style of combat. For instance, if you have a primarily spell focused style, I'd recommend building something based around soul, Like (Soul Catcher, Shaman Stone, Spell Twister), or if you use your nail a lot, something like (Long Nail/Mark of Pride, Quick Focus, Grubsong). I'd definitely recommend putting Sharp Shadow high on your list of charms to use, as it allows you to do .5 of your nail's max damage when Shadow Dashing through an enemy, but it also increases the length of your shadow dash, making some of the platforming tricky
  3. James listened intently to what Shana had to say, pausing for a moment to process the ideas. "I suppose it is a possibility." He said, thoughtfully, "I mean, it's impossible that we're the only Knights Radiant in the world, and you're right- so far we've only reacted to their attacks on us, not initiated." He moved his finger across his chin as he continued to speak. "However, it is entirely possible that other factions of Radiants do exist who have taken a more active stance against the Voidbringers than we have." He sank down onto a kitchen stool, sighing. "I suppose I could ask Doc if he knows anything about other enclaves of Radiants?"
  4. As someone who did complete the Delicate Flower quest, I'll tell you my strategy. So, what you do is first take a stagway to the Queen's Garden station. Plot a course as you see fit from that room to where the grey mourner is, and go there, killing all the enemies in your path. When you reach the Grey Mourner's hut Do not sit on the bench. Sitting on the bench will cause most of the major enemies you just killed to respawn. Retrace your steps back to the Queen's garden station, and avoid the thorns on the path to the Traitor's Grave. Hope that helps somewhat!
  5. The term 'Golden Route' refers to a 'perfect' ending where everyone survives and ends up happy. I;e a route where Dimitri and Edelgard reconnect, and Claude does his thing, and nobody dies. The Previous game in the Franchise, Fire Emblem Fates attempted to present a dual sided grey story where the protagonist could choose either side in a conflict. Later, however, there was a dlc route released entitled Revelations, which made it possible to have a happy ending for both sides. Needless to say, this was rather controversial, especially due to the somewhat *ahem* absurd scenario. Thus, since Three Houses follows in the footsteps of Fates in terms of a whole "Choose a Side" thing, it's something of a popular question to ask whether Three Houses should have a route with that sort of ending.
  6. Ya know, I really ended up enjoying Falcon knight Leonie. She ended up getting really speed and res blessed (not as much as my Ingrid has been, but still enough to tank mages for a turn or two. Ignatz I made the distinct choice to try and use him as much as possible (since I wasn't recruiting as much as I normally would), He ended up really good with Hunter's Volley and Brave bow until he got speedy. I normally take my snipers to bow knight, but that just didn't feel right for Ignatz. (He and Shamir I consider to be the canon snipers)
  7. So, somewhat inspired by @Use the Falchion's post about his Verdant wind NG+ run, here's my first non-NG+ Verdant Wind run. Here's my final team that I brought into Endgame, with their final levels and stats pre endgame: Spoilers for length, and I guess Claude's final class I suppose The most unexpected mvps of this run were Ignatz and Lorenz, both of whom didn't do great in my original Verdant Wind run, with Ignatz even ending up benched by endgame. Most humorously sad moment was when Ignatz double crit a fortress knight for no damage on enemy phase. Guess speed for days doesn't do much good when you don't have the strength to pierce their defenses. I went into this run attempting to play as purely as possible, and in my mind that meant minimal recruits. I recruited Catherine because since I ended going lances for Byleth, I wanted a dedicated speedy sword person which Byleth couldn't be. My most stupid mistake this run was actually going Male Byleth. I had intended on going Falcon knight, but I stupidly ended up choosing Male Byleth as a slip of the mind. As such, my Byleth was not nearly as speedy, and for a while post timeskip had to rely on Brave Lances to double. (until I pumped him full of performance-enhancing... uh I mean stat boosters) Most extra choice was mastering mercenary with Ignatz for Vantage. Funniest moments were the moments when I realized I'd broken my Lorenz with how good he was doing, he kept critting with fire and Saggitae, with crit chances below 10. S-supported Lysithea (which if you haven't done it yet, I recommend it, it's incredibly sweet)
  8. General Kenobi! (There you go @Scout_Fox)
  9. So, if y'all didn't know, Faerghast just published his character analysis of Dimitri, aptly titled "The Dimitri Documentary." I highly recommend giving it a watch if you have the time. Obviously heavy spoilers for Azure Moon, and some mild spoilers for the other routes except Silver Snow.
  10. Good luck. I hear Revelation's the most gimmicky of the 3 paths. Have you done the snow shoveling map yet? Or the Elevator Map?
  11. James walked into the kitchen, overhearing the end of Ben and Shana's conversation. "I don't know." He said, with a concerned look. "It seems, different than usual." he said, "There's a hardness, and anger to Rob right now that I haven't seen in him before. He's normally so mellow." James turned and looked at Shana, "You know him best out of all of us I think." he sighed "I hate to ask anything of you, but do you think you could talk to him? Rob trusts you, and whatever he's dealing with, he doesn't have to do it alone." @Sorana
  12. Me when I get back from having no internet service for 3 days and reading all the sample chapters

The prologue doesn’t have any super huge plot points in it, we’ve seen that night three times before.

  13. Consider your joke, gotten
  14. I mean that works on Steel Soul mode (permadeath), but I personally prefer not having to worry about breaking that charm (that and unbreakable strength). Once you get into a certain point of the game, I feel that Geo becomes somewhat commonplace and not worth much outside of getting those charms
  15. Oh yeah, that's an expensive, but good investment
  16. Yes I do, and I don't know if I could have done it without that helpful strategy.
  17. May the heavens bless you with success Emi, I know for a fact that many of us who were playing Hollow Knight while discussing it on the aforementioned thread had some trouble dealing with them
  18. Just finished watching The Two Towers with my youngest brother, and man, Sam's speech at the end just hits different during these troubled times

It would have been, if the extended editions were even affordable nowadays...

  19. Been trying to go through Bravely Default on 3DS to prepare for BD2 on Switch (and yes, I know that Bravely Second is the actual sequel for Bravely Default, and I do plan on playing that one as well). Can confidently say that I love the game so far. Although, just want to publicly announce my feelings for Red Mage Fiore DeRosa: "You are a horrible person, that's what it says. A horrible person. We weren't even testing for that"- GLaDOS.
  20. Whom'st has summoned the ancient one?
  21. James turned and watched the voidbringer leave the yard. I hope we just made the right choice he thought to himself, as he turned back to Shana. "Sure, let's go back inside." he said, with his usual smile. He began walking back towards the house, and gave Shana a discreet gesture to follow him. Rob worries me, he thought, the way he's acting is... off, somehow. The Nightwatcher sighed, but said nothing. *** Despite her usual snarky demeanor, The Nightwatcher really did like James, and it worried her whenever he seemed troubled about his housemates. No, she corrected herself, not just his housemates, they're practically his family
  22. A chance for Wyndlerunner, 17th of Shard, to show his quality. I like Tom Bombadil as well! Hey come, merry dol! Derry dol my darling, light goes the weather wind, and the feathered starling!
  23. Honestly it's more of a religion
