  1. "Yeah, Ashlyn is still here" He said as he followed her down. "Let me know if you need anything" he said, beseechingly.
  2. Well, Wheel of Time does seem to be dominating this poll at the moment
  3. This is so accurate, except for me it was with SA
  4. James sighed, and continued looking out at the neighborhood, "Do you think we should head in now Shana?" @Sorana
  5. Why have I never seen this edition of Mistborn before? I need this in my life. 5daa07ae4a115_ReallyCoolTFECover.jpg.c1821b5c867b25da8ecfc72c1570a77c.jpg

Huh, that might actually be my favorite out of all the cover arts for Mistborn!

      That's beautiful...

  6. I have to recommend WoT if you like Brandon.
  7. James looked out, awestruck. "It's beautiful" @Sorana
  8. James accepted her hand gratefully, and scrambled up to where she was. "Well, what do you have to show me?" he asked, genuine curiosity piercing his voice. @Sorana
  9. An admirable goal indeed. And one that I wish you the best of luck with.
  10. James simply nodded, and said "I fear much the same thing." He sighed, and shook his head, "This is part of my role as well." he explained, "I'm a Bondsmith, I'm supposed to lead these people."
  11. This sounds very intriguing as far as structure goes, but I do believe you'd have to be very careful with a single unreliable narrator. If you are too unreliable, then the reader would be even more confused, and personally speaking, if I am both confused, and don't trust the lens through which I'm viewing the story, it makes me disinclined to finish the story, or to be particularly invested in the characters and the plot.
  12. James simply let her cry for a minute- It did the mind and spirit good. "I understand if you don't want to party" he said quietly, "I really do." He gave a slight pitiful laugh, "I've always been really introverted, so big parties never have been my style." "To answer your last question, I don't have better things to do." he said, "Like I said before, you're family. And nothing is more important to me than family." He settled back, and added "So, if it's all right with you, I'll stay up here with you." @Sorana

*lets the blade hit her this time* *shard blade does nothing* Well you see he's no longer a Stone Shaman anymore so my job is done. *leaves*

  14. I think it must be your internet provider, cause I just tried on my computer, and it worked just fine for me.
  15. I love whenever I get to do that. It's like watching someone's mind expand like when they take up a Shard.
  16. James took her hand and climbed up into the tree, He inhaled a deep breath of fresh air, and smiled at Shana. "It's quite peaceful up here" he noted, "I can see why you like it." He settled back into a comfortable position, and looked at her, dead serious. "I'm so sorry for what happened earlier at the pool." He apologized "Your revelations were a bit more than I was expecting, and I reacted in a way that wasn't helpful to you, or to me." he confessed. James felt his eyes welling up with tears, and he didn't try to hold them back. It would be better if Shana saw his emotions, although being so open made him feel more vulnerable than he liked. "I am so sorry about your parents." he said, through the slight fall of tears, "Nobody should have to deal with that. No child should have to bury their parent at such a young age." James rummaged in his pockets for a tissue, and he used it to dab at his eyes. "But I want you to know that I'm here for you." he said, determined yet empathetic. "You might not have a birth family, but Radiants are like a family." With that remark he gave a weak smile, and added, "Though I may not be old enough to be a father figure, I can at the very least be a good elder brother." James reached once again for her hand, and said "What say you that we go down to the party?" he smiled a bit stronger, "After all, Jace and Ax are family too." At that remark, a pair of bluebirds alighted on a branch near to them. The two chirped happily, and James looked over to them. "The birds are lovely, aren't they." @Sorana
  17. James kept walking, until he found himself under a large tree. Up there James the Nightwatcher noted, and James looked up to see Shana sitting in the branches, evidently lost in thought, all alone. "Shana?" he called up to her inquisitively, "Is that you up there? If so, we need to talk." @Sorana
  18. James sat down inside, hand scratching the day old scruff that was growing there. He was tempted just to let it grow out this time. I wasn't ready for that, he thought guiltily. How on Earth was he supposed to help with something so deeply traumatic? You fool! he scolded himself, Walking away wasn't the right thing to do in that situation. Come now James, The Nightwatcher chimed in, Beating yourself up won't do you, or Shana any good. Go talk to her! James nodded, in affirmation, "I can only do what I can, but Storms, what I can will have to be enough" he whispered, as he walked back outside, and finished placing the swimming candles in the water. Now to find Shana he thought to himself. @Sorana
