    Not once did I imagine Nynaeve as an African-American. As soon as I saw who they cast, I instantly went."Yeah, I can see this, this really works!" As far as I can tell, Dragonmount is the site of the most vitriolic responses to the casting, from what I've seen lurking there.

    Eyy. You know you're a Sanderfan when you see an infographic at your school depicting SA, and you can tell they probably sparknoted it because they include a WoT quote. (It did have the above mentioned Sebarial quote, which brought it to mind)

    I know! I'm super excited about that one, as it, along with Warbreaker, are the only Brandon standalones that I feel absolutely need a sequel in order to improve as novels.

    You didn't try to name a river and a valley after your two sons to help that did you? I don't know if this counts, but to a specific subset of people, I'm known as "Professor Cardigan" for reasons that are long and complicated.

    While you may have no idea who I am, and while I've never struggled with those sorts of thoughts let me just say this: There is always a reason to live. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, as cheesy as the phrase is- it's true. Hard times come for all of us, and we just have to make our best way through, even though sometimes we can't see the way. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem (No matter how long it may be). I wish you the best, ---Wyndlerunner

    James stepped over to Shana and Cassie, and looked at Cass, concernedly. "If you ever want to talk about it, just let me know" He looked over at Draug, "Cassie broke the First Ideal; Joy is..." He broke off, unable to say any further, for fear of the tears that were about to start falling

    This is an interesting topic for me, given that on my early reads of that story I absolutely despised it. Couldn't stand the characters, and thought the magic system was fairly weak comparing it even to other novella magics (Forgery specifically). However, on more recent rereads, it's become much better, as I've begun to appreciate what it does well, above what I feel it lacks. (Which I feel that it along with Shadows for Silence, are still Brandon's weakest works) However,, even at his worst, Brandon writes really well. It needs a sequel.

    "It's about the Nightwatcher, and your boon and curse." James said, "And whether those actions are fitting with the Immortal Words." He sighed, knowing what he had to say next. "Cass" He spoke somewhat tentatively, "Joy's dead."
