  1. I dunno, still looks very green to me
  2. Well, here we are, with my fourth Shardiversary upon us. How has it already been four years? Like, seriously, how has it been that long? The last year has been one of my most momentous as a Sharder, despite my relative... well... lack of posts. We had the first Dragonsteel Con, and just recently the rather momentous occasion that is Brandon's secret novels. While I still notably have struggled to actually get around to reading Cytonic, we also have TLM scheduled for this fall, which is sure to kickstart a lot of discussion. Now, onto the special mentions!

@Firerust, now that you're off your mission, I can bug you with pings again, heh. But seriously man, I cannot overstate how important my friendship with you has been. You were one of my first 'Cosmere-literate' friends IRL, and without you pestering me to start a Shard account during our little library geek out sessions, I wouldn't have made the great memories I've made here.

@AonEne, my friend in high places! I would not have met you without this website, and I do think that's a point in its merit. In terms of the past year, we actually got to meet in person for the first time at Dragonsteel Con after nearly 3 years of friendship. It's honestly kind of surreal!

@overlord stick, Stick my friend! one of the few cases where our friendship hasn't really revolved around Brando Sando in quite some time lol. Thank you for always being so indulging of my eccentricity, and enduring of my continuous prods to catch up on Demon Slayer.

But seriously, all of you are super important to me, and while I might not post on this site a whole lot nowadays, I really appreciate all of your friendships. Here's to another year!

Happy Shardiversary, Wyn! I loved meeting you, the hanging out and the getting food and even the walking around aimlessly in the convention center not knowing where we next wanted to go, and I hope I can see you again this time or even before it maybe! You're a great friend :D

Oh shoot, thanks so much man!! Honestly I really enjoy my chats and I'm so happy we still keep up!

... I do need to watch Mugen Train one of these days though, lol

Happy Shardiversary! I love you too, man!

  3. James both welcomed and bemoaned Evelyn's entrance into the fray. The part of him that really was welcome for an excuse to change the subject was quite happy for the interruption, but he'd also been hoping to actually settle things here with Rob and Cass, as well as keep it on the downlow. Well, I suppose I am a true Bondsmith now he thought, chagrined. It had been some time since Doc had provided any active leadership to their little group, and slowly, without even realizing it, James had begun to take his place. Leadership was as terrifying as it had always been for him, but he thought Theo would have been proud of his newfound confidence. James shot Evelyn a look that he hoped said 'Listen, now really isn't the time, I'll catch you up later', and turned back to Rob. "Listen, Rob" he said, "I understand how you must feel. Doc's been keeping this from all of us, and I think we all have a right to feel hurt by it." He clenched his fist, and replaced his sympathetic tone with an air of steely finality "But I will absolutely not support this plan. Our burdens are ours. My burdens are my own, and I will not have you claim to take my burdens upon you as an excuse to act selfishly. We need to meet in some form of counsel to determine what the desires of all of the Invested in this Enclave feel to be right in regards to the war. Personally, I would have us remove ourselves from the conflict. Go deeper underground if need be. But I will not condone genocide, no matter how you sugarcoat it with justifications." @AonEne @WrathofaShardKitten @I think I am here.
  4. Given that through Divine Pulse multiple timelines are quire plausible, I'm viewing this as simply 'another route' the story could have gone. Now granted, I don't know if there will be multiple campaigns within this game, but at least one route seems like a potential 'golden' route. Personally, I'm excited. With the high quality story that Breath of the Wild's Warriors style spin-off gave us, I'm fairly confident that we'll be in good hands.
  5. All of this art is super impressive! Kudos to all the fine folks who participated in this, I'm sure it takes a lot of time and effort.
  6. I've been waiting for this to come out to finally read White Sand. While I love me a good boombox, and have greatly enjoyed the many years of memeing it to heck and back, it will be good to have a version that is fully in-line with canon, as well as all in one package.
  7. Have you tried Perpetual Boob's boss guides? While I haven't beaten NKG myself, he goes very in depth with every boss in the game outside the Dream Warriors. I probably would not have ever made it through my first save file without those videos.
  8. The Sandy-man is a slippery fellow. Give him an inch of wiggle-room and suddenly your fishing haul is devoid of a fine Silverpike
  9. That's definitely plausible. Perhaps combining 2 magics with the same fundamental purpose leads to an exponential growth in the capabilities of a magic?
  10. Brandon was asked what Shard is the source of Ashyn's magic, to which he responded Cultivation
  11. I'm not too concerned about what this development means for WoBs. With Brandon doing livestream q&a's fairly often these days, I doubt the quality or quantity of WoBs will go down in the slightest.
  12. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the hugest fan of the NA covers for the Cytoverse, but gosh darn if that collection doesn't have an incredible cover.
  13. So, not sure if paraphrasing is still best practice after the new consent policies, but I'm gonna go ahead and post my question from the spoiler q&a
  14. In 5 days, I'll be living in a world where the first 3 episodes of The Wheel of Time have premiered, and I'm simultaneously hyped as heck, and surreally wondering how this is actually happening.

  16. Tis indeed that time of year again. I thoroughly enjoy this show, with it's quirkily classic animation style and whimsically haunting soundtrack, it stands as a testament to short form animation, and the incredible things that can be done in a runtime of only a couple hours.
  17. The Bridge Four glyph is super impressive! I always struggle with intricate details like that in my drawings, so rendering it at such a scale with such accuracy is quite impressive. Also that Syl is so cute, I love her.
  18. Sooo, anyone else concerned by the fact that Mat has apparently been recast for S2?
  19. Long have I waited for this day... I declare myself satisfied.
  20. Gotta love capitalizing "The Hotel Scene". That might actually be one of my favorite comedy scenes Brandon has written.
  21. FanX is in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I imagine that Dragonsteel Mini-Con will be somewhere in the same vicinity. I don't believe you can register for Mini-Con yet, but FanX you should be able to, given it's only a little more than a month away at this point.
  22. Congratulations! That tends to be the first ending a lot of people go for/get. There's a ton to do in this game, from the Grimm Troupe and Godmaster content, to the Dream Bosses. I hope you'll keep us posted on any other big achievements in this game you happen upon! Playing Hollow Knight for the first time is a once in a lifetime experience.
  23. Ba da da da da, I'm lovin' this!
