  1. Well, it was a question floating around for a while on here and eventually one of the Sharders got to asking Brandon about it and he gave us an answer!
  2. I agree, Scadrial is fun, and I'm looking forward to the merger, too.
  3. There was a thread that this came up in a while back. I think the general consensus was no, except in pockets for any colony that had been continually populated enough to affect the Cognitive Realm and form an actual place there that wasn't just obsidian.
  4. Well, if you're looking for the barebones facts, there's this: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Dawnshard Other than that, there's a lot of debate over what they actually are. Some people speculate they were what held up the Oathpact's binding, but honestly? We really don't know. Edit: Ninja'd twice.
  5. Me too, honestly. The moment I can get my hands on one (and enough money to pay for it), I'm nabbing it.
  6. Welcome to the Shard! Accept no cookies while you're here, they are not good (too metallic...and soul-tearing). What's your favorite magic system?
  7. For that to happen, they'd be forced to (Guardians 2 spoiler)
  8. *snaps fingers* You beat me to it! Yeah, to reiterate what was said earlier: cookies are bad, do not accept them. Welcome to the Shard, though! What's your favorite magic system you've come across in Sanderson's books?
  9. Yeah, I'm glad Davriel is there. He's interesting. I might actually get back into MTG now, honestly. I think I can still dig up all of my cards.
  10. The godmetals break a lot of rules, but also Atium in Allomancy does semi-temporal things, much as the Feruchemical use is also slightly temporal.
  11. Yep! There is at least one kandra confirmed to be off-world, and probably more.
  12. If I'm understanding the idea behind an Alcubierre drive, I would tend to agree with you, but not really to "eating my own hat" levels, because I lost faith in my ability to predict the Sanderson Twist (tm) a long time ago (relatively ).
  13. And to absolutely no one's surprise, due to the nature of this site, Ravenclaws are everywhere. That being said: SLYTHERIN GANG
  14. I look forward to seeing it! All these ideas are cool!
  15. I don't agree with it either, I was just noting its existence. I have no idea. I just figured I'd note the fact that it exists.
  16. There was a theory that it wasn't the lesser spren that make it, but the advancing oaths allow the bonded spren to spread itself further out into forming both Blade and Plate. I can't find the thread, sadly.
  17. She was. Iri and Rira don't do the safehand thing, it's only Vorin areas that do.
  18. If the kandra has a True Body, they're not outside the Homeland in Era 1, so it's not really an issue there. In Era 2, they probably just paint over it or have a covering designed to look like teeth made. That is probably more accurate, yes, considering that without their bones they're just muscle that gets dissolved and turned into other tissues as needed.
  19. Pretty much what Calderis said, with the weakening of the Allomantic lines. If Vin and Elend had had children, or Spook was a lerasium-strength Mistborn, there would still be Mistborn around. In addition to that, there is an interference between Allomantic genes and Feruchemical genes that has helped along the whole Ferring situation. The sDNA unravels a little, it sounds like from the WOB, the two sets of sDNA combine, and then the Feruchemist no longer will have access to all of their metals/abilities due to the combination of two technically different sets of Investiture (one being pure Preservation, the other, a mix) cancelling each other out as Investiture tends to do to other Investiture.
  20. Yeah, that would do it. I need to reread the bits that have been released.
  21. Don't they also have four arms? That might be where @RShara is getting the insect comparison.
  22. No shame in repeating bits of what others have said. That being said, this has been discussed a lot. You've got Shadolin and Shalladin shippers both running amok here, not to mention to occasional Adoladin bit that's put forth.
  23. Given the fact that for purposes of Odium's locking within the Rosharan system he counts as Honor, I'd say that if the parent in question is actually Honor (I'm not entirely convinced it wasn't Cultivation, but I accept that I'm probably wrong there), he would be able to.
  24. You've definitely come to the right place for more analyzation! Welcome to the Shard!
  25. Pretty sure that's just the audiobook, because both of my copies agree with what @Nathrangking said.
