Why couldn't the Lord Ruler correct the planets orbit?
Invocation replied to Fallen Rope's topic in Mistborn
The Lord Ruler was far too new to the power to be able to shove a planet around willy-nilly, with no accurate reference points in space. The reason why he was able to make the plants work correctly was that by that time, he was dealing with the influx of Preservation into his mindset and couldn't move the planet anymore, solely reacting to what his earlier attempts to do so had caused. -
He might have gotten the stain while acquiring the aether(s) he has. Isn't Night mostly liquid, and doesn't Amberite/Verdant contact result in a liquidation effect?

You'd have a fun time trying to Awaken atium (a metal made up entirely of Investiture already) at all. It'd be nigh on impossible, with how much Investiture resists tampering via other Investiture. #6 - You'd need a way to hack Connection to Honor to make it Allomantically viable.

I agree. Live action would be very hard to do, especially with the casting issues. I'd prefer a solid animation style (read: perhaps the team from Spiderverse) so every detail can be given justice to with less of the hard-to-do sets being messed up.

Actually, that's a good point. I had my timeline a little skewed.

That's fair. It's hard to keep all of the details in your head at once, especially over time, considering how much Sandman likes to put in his stories. Plus, isn't it always time for a reread?

Normally, Janim, owls are nocturnal. So what in the trees are you doing flying around as one during the day? Relax, Alim. No one cares, and all it does is add to the reputation I've already been growing so you can preserve your energy. Humph. I guess that makes sense. Oh, look, it's the city! Do something properly dramatic, Janim! Make them know you from the first moment you're in there. Might as well. It would be fitting, after what I did leaving that last town. Janim, still occupying the form of an akun eagle-owl, swooped down behind the guard post, the slight whisper of wind through their feathers going unnoticed as they landed. They let loose the signature low rattling cry to attract the attention of the guards still trying to check people in before shifting back to their normal human self. "You really should do a better job watching behind you," they said, tapping the closest guard on the shoulder. Yeah, you tell them, Janim! "Wait, where did you come from? Why didn't you go through the gate?" cried the guard, tired from a long day of listening to people's inanities as they tried to enter the city. "Where did I come from? A town too unnoticed to have a name. Why didn't I go through the gate? Well, that's beyond your authority to question, isn't it?" Janim smirked, drawing themselves up to the full extent of their height. "Alright, that's it. I'm going to chain you to the wall until you give me a straight answer for once!" growled the guard. Janim laughed and changed into a wolf, amber eyes staring down the guard, who suddenly looked like he wanted to be somewhere else. "You won't have the chance," they growled, trotting off into the crowds in search of more entertainment.

The length does do wonderful things for it, yeah (also definitely reread because that's a big set of tie-ins, you're gonna have a fun time finding all of them).
-
Probably a mix of those two. He'd like to shake stuff up, sometimes to Ruin, sometimes to Preserve.
-
Wonderful, thanks.
-
Do I have to use the gate to the city to enter? I can't get the meme out of my head where Janim swoops down as a bird and taps one of the guards on the shoulder and tells them to pay better attention.

Hey, welcome to the Shard! As a rule, accept no cookies offered to you here, no matter whether they're "certified" or not, if you value your soul being in one piece. What's your favorite Sanderson series?

Not exactly. Tell me, who was exiled from Terris society for calling people to action? Tell me, who was the one who freed their entire culture from oppression and rabid breeding programs? Sazed liked to uproot things, liked to spread discord to get things done. If I recall correctly, Tindywl even notes that as one of things she admires about him most.
-
I always took that portion to mean the Terris people. He was a heretic for disobeying the Synod, and yet he came to lead the Terris, plus, though Tindwyl was on the Synod, she came to love him. That's just my interpretation, though, so don't take that for anything concrete.

Skyward is not cosmere, due to the fact that it takes place in a world where Earth exists. The cosmere will never reference Earth's existence, per Brandon's own rule of keeping them seperate.

I'm looking for feedback on a couple of excerpts from my story (I don't actually have the larger story written yet, whoops). Please be honest, even if you're telling me it's bad.

I'd have one for each of the jobs I've considered: one author one, one biologist, one filmmaker, one pilot, one computer programmer, one hermit-in-the-woods. Done and done, that's everything I need in life, skillwise.

Oh you're in for a good time. Fair warning: stay away from the threads you aren't up-to-date on, or you will be spoiled. -
No comment = character approved? Or did they just get lost (completely understandable if so)? Or did I miss the judgement? Also possible.

Consider the following: Gravitation-assisted Project Thor-eque kinetic bombardment. RIP Plate and the person inside.
-
Fair, fair. Just had to ask.

So per the child's imagination thing for earlier, could you do it via manipulation connection to someone (or a small group) who believes in you immensely, thus counting them for more?
