  1. Ok, that makes sense: all is right with the world.
  2. @Chaos Math is not at all my field of expertise; I didn't go beyond linear algebra and integral calculus, and in terms of proofs, I only ever regurgitated proofs of theorems that were proven centuries ago. Plus, it's been years since I ever had to do any of that, so my "math knowledge" is pretty basic. Thus, I might not know enough axioms (it's the first time I hear about the axiom of choice, actually, and I don't think it has to do with me not paying attention in high school...), but when you say people "can" argue about axioms... I'm assuming that you mean different axioms could be agreed upon, and you could still establish truths from there. Or is that not correct? I guess a more important question would be, for me: are the basic axioms I was taught about in school, and that allowed me to eventually make sense of algebra and calculus... do people actually argue about those? And if so, what point are they trying to make?
  3. Is there a list of the biggest or most active Brandon/Cosmere fansites per language, somewhere? I might want to join some of them and contribute.
  4. I got Windrunner 70%, followed by Truthwatcher and Edgedancer both at 66%.
  5. I read this a little too quickly on the main page and thought: what does Danny DeVito have to do with this?
  6. I am extremely late to the party, but I've only just listened to this episode. @24:00, Grace's question. I had the same reaction as Eric, hearing this: I did think we saw many other types of spren wearing "physical clothes" in Celebrant, so I went to check: We do see other spren (not Reachers) wearing clothes, though I guess whether they are "physical clothes" is left up to the imagination: "The tent was occupied only by a single bewildered spren made of smoke, looking odd in a green cap and what seemed to be Horneater clothing." Not sure what kind of spren this is, but it doesn't match the description of Reachers. There's also that bit where Adolin notices the odd clothes, though he does not specify which kind of sprens wear them: "They seem to wear whatever," Adolin said, pointing. "That's an Alethi officer's coat over and Azish scribe's vest. Tashikki wrap worn with trousers, and there's almost a full Thaylen tlmko, but they're missing the boots." I got the impression these were all physical clothes, as Inkspren, Honorspren and Cryptics are described as having clothing that "seemed part of them." The shopkeeper that sells weapons is described as a Cultivationspren and wears a havah: "You like?" the shopkeeper asked. She was made of vines -- her face formed as if from green string -- and wore a havah with a crystal safehand exposed. Maya is also described as wearing "ragged clothing" in the Damnation chapter. So that adds to what Ian said. I don't know if there are other examples of Cultivationspren wearing clothes. Don't know if this is the kind of detail you want to include in the Coppermind, but if so, let me know.
  7. Also, at the beginning of Bands, VenDell chooses Marasi for the quest to recover ReLuur's spike, after Wax initially refuses to listen to him.
  8. The correct response was: "The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural."
  9. It is a sign. I saw it, and it opened up my eyes; I saw the sign.
  10. And I think it bears reminding everyone that only a Sith lord deals in absolutes.
  11. Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
  12. Was there no "caw" or was it edited out? Is a new caw-less era upon us?
  13. On a related note, quite a few Sharders appear to have given their location on this thread (there's even a map):
  14. All the things they said All the things they said Flying through my head Flying through my head All the things they said This is not enough THIS IS NOT ENOUGH [synth solo]
  15. I've got a few things to say: 1) FREE DAVID'S HAT. FREE IT. 2) (WTCC spoilers):
  16. A radiant, without a doubt. I'm not really after super powers, though; I'd just love bonding a spren. I don't know which one I'd attract, but whichever would feel right, I suppose. As it stands, I'd like to bond a Cultivationspren and become an Edgedancer! WE ARE THE 99%. SWORDNIMIFORPRESIDENT FOR PRESIDENT
  17. Welcome! What does "bfg" stand for? Is it related to the BFG 9000?
  18. Off the top of my head the "Keeping Up With The Kholins/Davars" series is great. I'd recommend some others, but they're most likely full of spoilers if you haven't read every Cosmere book. In fact, even the Keeping Up With The Kholins episodes will likely contain spoilers. The "Who's that cosmere character?" games at the end of each episode might feature Mistborn characters, for instance. So be careful :)! By the way, have you read Warbreaker? It's great on it's own, but If you're obsessed with The Stormlight Archive, you owe it to yourself to read it ASAP, before you even pick Mistborn up :). I didn't know any better, so I bought my own copy of Warbreaker, but apparently, you can get it for free here: https://brandonsanderson.com/books/warbreaker/warbreaker/warbreaker-rights-and-downloads/ It seems there are some "bonus" features in the paid epub version I have (there's a commentary of each chapter, at the end of the book), but this free version appears to contain the whole story. Enjoy!
