  1. I find Eric’s confusion over human voidbringers kind of funny. Maybe I miss remembering, but I don’t think there’s anything to say that they had to have had powers to be voidbringers. I think that’s just a poetic name back then and the legend grew after the Fused
  2. So we know that Sigzil broke his windrunner oaths and eventually bonded Aux. Everyone assumes that means he became a skybreaker. We also know that the bondsmith spren are all unique, yet provide the same abilities and order. Especially now, knowing that an object like nightblood can provide any set of radiant powers, it starts to make me wonder if bonding a certain spread means you have to be that order. I’m wondering, essentially if Aux could have accepted, wind runner, oaths, even though he is a high spren. part of my evidence, for this is that at the end of sunlight, man, nomad seems driven by protection, and not law, and that is what begins to give him his powers back. My back up theory is that Aux managed to become a windrunner while six over became a skybreaker

    Shardcast: Sigzil

    N/a
  4. Or it's spren/god *left*
  5. Oh! I had no idea! Thanks for linking! @Riino the mysteries episode is what led me to have this theory, but they never directly address dispersion of it. They still talked about the shards in relation to the moon, not the old gods.
  6. The three moons of Roshar have always been associated with the three shards, but what if we have all been reading it wrong? What if instead of representing Honor, Cultivation and Odium, the three moons represented the Wind, the Stones, and the nNight? That still doesn’t entirely explain the fourth moon, but with the way the system was set up before the shattering, to me it kind of makes sense.
  7. I love that about him. No time to wallow or rue. The only option is to peg up and go
  8. For me it wasn't even abut feeling seen, (the mental health stuff is closer to that for me, and I'm recovering very well) its just cool to see that an injury like that not being portrayed as life ending
  9. I really liked the whole part about how Adolin was able to adapt to his prosthetic because of his background in dueling. I’m sure a lot of people might find it silly, but it actually resonates with me a little bit. I have been doing martial arts for about 25 years and back in August, I had ACL surgery. I wasn’t on crutches, but my leg was functionally immobilized, and it was hard to put weight on it and I could not bend my knee for weeks. I was still able to go teach classes, and even participate in a seminar because I was able to adapt how I stood and moved. I was able to help kids with their cuts within a week, as long as they knew to adjust their stances to be better than mine. My point being that when you’re used to controlling your steps and your weight, you do learn to adapt, so it actually made sense that Adolin was able to participate
  10. Is there a way to move it? I didn’t view it as self protection, but protection in general. Could be for life or anything
  11. Happy birthday!

      Thank you!!

  12. Here is my new theory for Dawnshard categories We know change is a Dawnshard, so I used that as a seed to try grouping some and came up with some other options Change Invention Cultivation Virtuosity Ruin Essentially you have creation, maturation, embellishment (art), and finally degradation. All relating to change Protect Preservation Honor Valor Mercy* Keeping things the same, adhering to oaths, brave defiance, and willingness to show kindness Feel Devotion Odium Whimsy Mercy* These shards seem to be more emotion based. I know others are too, but these seem to fit best. Love, hatred/passion, silliness, and kindness Lead Autonomy Dominion Endowment Ambition These shards exemplify different aspects of leadership (to some people at least). Self-governance, governance of others, gifting to others, and internal drive. Obviously these are speculative and none are perfect fits, but I like how this works. I'd be interested to see what other combos everyone else has *Mercy seemed to fit in either spot
  13. It does, kinda. Everything you said is what I was afraid of being true, but I appreciate the confrimation
  14. Does anyone know how to create glyphs from words or sentences? I was trying to figure out how to write “Fleet Kept Running” as a glyph
  15. I was just thinking about the pre-story implications. I think with the bondsmiths being able to refill gems will change things a lot for the economy. And yes, I think stormlight will be extremely valuable in the space age Side note, I think the 2-to-1 lit to dun trade was just what Kaladin offered because he was desperate in OB. I don't think it's necessarily a standard practice to charge that much
