  1. Y tu @BrightnessRadiant? What makes you so sure there are only 2 elims left? What is making you change your vote on devotary so late in the cycle? is it possibly because you only wanted a record of a vote on Devotary but now that it was close you need to protect a teammate? Well if so Congrats... cause I'm not sure if there is anyone online to stop a joe lynch from occuring.
  2. Hmmm interesting, noone had any issues about piling onto joe but as soon as the vote starts tipping near equal with devotary we get some pushback interesting I have been asked in PM by devotary why I am voting for him, I'm not sure why he didnt ask in here but I will answer in here. (nevermind he asked in here while I was typing this haha) 1st, while it was devotary's idea to use the awakeners and lopens PM's to communicate between the living and dead players he only wanted to do it to confirm that they were both in the dead doc before we lynched one of them, something that while it wasn't confirmed it certainly didn't seem necessary as both of them certainly had access to information in the dead doc either directly or through another person and postponing the lynch to confirm one thing over multiple stages seemed like a delay tactic. Much easier to just ask lopen who he expected in code using the Pms devotary mentioned and then lynch right away. this post in particular makes me think they wanted to postpone the lynch using this tactic 2nd, you leave doubt in a lot of your posts for reexamination. Here are some examples (bolding is mine and not original to the post) Now this seems to me like an elim repeatedly trying to cover his voting because he actually knows that these people are villagers. It's either that or Devotary votes on people he can't even convince himself are elims (which in my experience villagers are usually the opposite and its hard to convince them someone is not an elim ). 3rd Lopen suspected you *shrug* 4th the reasons I gave when I voted on you originally a few cycles ago where a lot of your analysis seemed fluffy and possible misdirection 5th to make things interesting and a bit more chaotic ( and see if anyone pushes back) And finally 6th you ere attached to drought for a while defending him and attacking others. Like poor coop here Last cycle, you also said "I am not a captain, and you (anyone) can scan me if you don’t believe me (not sure if that would prove it, but it couldn’t hurt)." If you neither are a captain, nor know a captain, why did you get targeted twice in a row? Since the main thing the captain has done so far other than remove your vote has been the attempt to save a villager(Lopen) from dying, I'm inclined to believe that the captain is a villager. This makes me think that you're either lying about knowing the captain's identity, or a villager has reason to suspect you. Feel free to correct any errors I made in this analysis, @Coop772. which this post still doesnt make sense to me... a captain removed his vote and the captain is probably a villager so coop must be an elim? Like what a village vote manip has never targeted a villager before? This vote also gave coop 4 votes and drought only 2 thus preventing a possible tie by teh captain. And You only voted for drought last cycle when it became apparent he was going to get lynched. Sorry for the long ramble but TL;DR I suspect you and I have reasons Now time for me to go prepare for me or BR (if she truly is villager like I suspect) to be stabbed tonight.
  3. I agree with a lot of Brightnesses post... sigh Something about teh Joe lynch feels off with his behavior and the lack of opposition.... which enters into the whole IKYK territory. Seeing how we could lose the game on one mislynch I guess I do feel a bit more comfortable with a Devotary Lynch over a joe lynch just in case joe is like some sort of jester or returned role and wants to be lynched which is the only thing that could explain some of his votes to me completely. All in all it is a pretty bizarre situation to read and I wouldnt mind if either one gets lymched
  4. "Roid not see Shu since he talk to lifeless for him" Roid said to Fahmexa. "Roid not see much much at all, but Roid see that it time to decide on Jeo the yeelow. Roid tink sometime that Jeo is Hallandren and other time that he be Idrian. But Roid tink that Jeo first night vote only make sense as elim if Ripple is also Elim... But Roid not sure if Ripple is Elim and wrong point could cost lives" Roid said solemnly "Many Idrians die, not many left, soon Hallandren might outnumber us, Roid would like to fight them fair but he guess they kill roid in sleep or with many lifeless and not fair." "After much tink Roid point at Jeo, But Roid say if people have good doubt to speak doubt now and say better idea." ------- Also this is just my opinion but I think there may have been 4 elims originally. Since the thread last cycle was marked "close to the end" , now this could apply either case but it is just the gut feeling i have. But in any case it is the difference between one allowed mislynch and no allowed mislynches
  5. Roid waited patiently while he watched Shu(squeeves) and Zaffer(Drought) go talk to the recent additions of the lifeless horde outside. In his hand he clutched the handwritten message from lopen with names of the unit on it in a pattern. If this worked then it could give him the clue he need on who to trust. After several hours Shu was the first to return. Shu looked around discretly and whispered in his ear "Vaati says don't trust the person in position __________ on your sheet, he is a Hallandren" Roid nodded his head and said "Thank Shu". Roid looked to see who was at that position on his sheet but he still waited to see what Zaffer would find. Roid waited for several more hours it was starting to get cold and he was considering going back inside when he saw Zaffer finally approach. Roid asked him "Anything from Lopen or others about Roid Plan?" to which Zaffer replied that there was No word and shuffled off. Roid looked down at his sheet again... the person in the position SHu indicated was none other than Zaffer so either SHu is the luckiest guesser alive, or things were starting to make sense to Roid. "Roid know who to do the pointing at now" as he walked inside.
  6. Welp Squeeves has been helpful and shared some things from the document including something that lopen has said which makes me want to vote for Drought prepare for RP later
  7. Roid didn't know what to feel "Shu and Zaffer have been talking to those things?" Roid said as he gestured to the lifeless line outside. "That make both Hallandren right? Marshall was looking for people that talked to Lifeless, and they both say they do so we kill both right?" Roid was disappointed to look at Marshall Amaranth and see him shaking his head in the negative. "Really? Roid confused why not" Roid said dejectedly, he so sure he figured something out. Roids face brightened up a bit later though "Can we have Shu and Zaffer talk to @TheMightyLopen? maybe he can point to name on Roids piece of paper of who the lifeless think commands them?" --------- but yeah if lopen, @randuir @Elenion or any of the other dead if you have PM's with people with names on them then write down a word count or row and column number referencing the PM's with your person that way teh awakeners can't edit out your key without it not making sense For instance Lopen sent me a PM with all of his reads so if he tells me teh row and column he is referencing then I will get the message
  8. @BrightnessRadiantactually Devotary came up with a great idea on how we can communicate with the dead @TheMightyLopen you had a significant PM empire with multiple villagers. You can post a word count to the dead doc to point to who you think the elims are for instance a word count of 21 and I would look at the 21 word in my PM with you or better yet might be column and row numbers. The liar couldnt fudge with those numbers without making it seem like possible nonsense and outing him and we are pretty sure one of them is villager so do that
  9. Ok I just finished rereading cycle 5 there was a couple of things that stood out to me but the main one was the voting: This game is pretty interesting because it forces you to vote and so you don't have to back up your votes as strongly initially, The problem is that leads to a bit of lack of accountability on votes and backing them up. So @A Joe in the Bush, @BrightnessRadiant, @Devotary of Spontaneity, and @Droughtbringer why did you vote for coop? what was your reasons for suspecting him as an elim? Was it really because mac didn't have a special role?
  10. @Shqueeves can you give us a detailed summary of the dead doc right now I think getting a summary from both you and Drought would be informative.
  11. That's a good point are we operating under the assumption he might not have awakener powers all the time only sometimes? I'm still trying to catch up on past cycles
  12. Ok due to this and the Fact that squeeves was revealed to be Ostrich which was replaced for inactivity by none other than Elen way before it was revealed that there was a worldhopper and the mechanics of the worldhopper not to mention that Shqueeves would hardly mention a mechanic of a game he didnt participate much in and never participated by spectating I believe Squeeves to be telling the truth.
  13. Roid awoke with a storming headache "Gahhhh, Roid head hurt." Roid briefly wondered why until he noticed a bottle in hand. He looked at it then proceeded to finish the little remaining in the bottle "Good stuff, Roid tink it bright inside though" as roid shielded his eyes looking around at the others. "Where everyone else go? Roid can count everyone now" Which Roid proceeded to prove numbering people on his hand "One, Two, Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten" the last at pointing to Amaranth. "Sorry captain didnt mean to point the finger at you Marshall... though maybe you do be Hallandren that way you set us all to kill each other rather than help." Roid nodded softly then burt out laughing. "But that be'd stupid Bwah haha" As roid wiped some tears away from his eyes and glanced at the empty bottle in his hand one last time, he didnt want to waste any after all, and dropped it to the side. "Roid miss a lot, some people tell Roid story to unmiss stuff? Roid try to help find Hallandren if do, otherwise Roid try to recall stuff that happened while he slept" -------- did they actually mention the AG?
  14. if it is the same as usual it should be 2 and a half hours from now Sorry guys I just got back from my church meetings and ate dinner it was great but I am exhausted and I cant do proper analysis for the life of me. So as a result I am going to vote on Brightnesss Radiant not because I necessarily suspect her but because I dont want to die and she doesnt have any votes (sorry) If I am still alive tomorrow I promise some good analysis (and some actual RP) dang ninjad by drake himself
  15. Wellll... Fudge. Ok I will be on a bit tomorrow but I have multiple church meetings so it will be late in the cycle
  16. yeah my RP is gonna be light today sorry for any Roid fans out there. I thought I mentioned this somewhere I could have voted for Mac to save Rand but at teh time I didnt really feel that Mac had done anything for me to suspect him or warrant a death. Knowign what I know now I wish I did do that.... I probably would have ended up dead as a result for doing an actual hammer, but it might have been worth it Also don't be sorry after what I put you through last game I feel sorry and it is a good point you bring up I feel I just did not feel confident that mac was any better to lynch at the time and ripple was in tying distance *shrug* Yeah you did but it still itches at me a little bit with one of those itches that I will kick myself later on for not acting on it one way or another if you do turn out elim is all I'm saying.
  17. "Roid don't remember voting for lopen but Roid say why he does the pointing when he points. Roid think Lopen more Idrian than most than most now though so maybe that why Roid move vote off Lopen" Roid Shrugged "Roid does remember pointing at Devotary and Ripple though right now, Roid remember thinking only two people tied for points and Roid's vote on devotary was not worth, so Roid made it worth before time up, But Roid still sorry at Sark'lin for that" Roid looked at @RippleGylf sheepishly "Roid still tink Devotary more Hallendren than most, but he tink Mac point would still show more about coop, but coop point would show about mac too. mac might be important too but mac might be important Idrian" "Roid tink we should point at people that we can learn about connections from deaths (Especially if we can learn from them turning out to be a villager or an Elim.) So Roid point at Mac again" ------------- I'm going to be busy today but I will try to get back on, there is a lot concerning me about this game because it is so strange. I am a bit concerned that joe in the bush was invovled in straws death and elens, It's starting to make me think that joe's vote day one was to provide better odd protection for Ripple without linking them directly to analysis. I will try to go back through elens posts because the sudden increase on votes on himj may be indicative that he was onto something and the elims are using the lynch as their kill since three is the highest we have gotten. @Drake Marshall I guess I would like to echo Lopen's question is there any secret roles or rules that exist?
  18. I appreciate this comment because I've been feeling Elen is less involved than he was in MR so I was wondering but maybe the MR is the outliar ------ "Roid never think enough about why maybe people die, Roid be thinking about Straw and thing he say" "Straw not like Mac he also not like Roid probably cause Roid point to him first... but Roid tink that finger for Mac will help show is Sal is Hallandren or no since Sal likes Mac." Roid nodded. "Mac also point at both people dead now, and not first, but after others point." Roid looked around then shrugged "Roid got not much more to say" -------- Votes (Please Copy and Paste this when you make a vote!): Shqueeves (2): Drought, RippleGylf Devotary (1): Lopen Mac (2): Len, Monster Drought (1): Arinian Elenian (1): Bort Thanks Mac for the ninja'd vote update!
  19. You know I was originally of that opinion and several others about the team roles being what made the difference this game especially since I play RL mafia I never even considered that an inspector/Skybreaker could be elim. But now having had time to think about it and learn much more the differences between SE and mafia I'm more inclined to agree with Wilson, I dont think the roles were imbalenced or at least not outside the window of balance. I think one of the biggest differences were a combination of the anonymous accounts and the team makeups actually. I don't know everybody on this list but as far as experience goes I think the teams experience was also fairly evenly distributed among the teams. However check out the kill order Or if we just focus on elim kills we get Now I will preface this with a disclaimer that once again I don't know everybody who played in this game nor their reputations (aka dont shoot me if you are teh exception or I am way off the mark). But it seems to me that many of the villages R&R players either died early on or died soon after they pinched hit ( I dont have a reliable way to know when someone pinched hit so its a guess). This brings about an interesting change of power between the teams rather quickly, because there were so many players with so many reads and posts it is easy for the village to not notice a good suggestion, but the elims will immediately notice any good reads or more observant players. This isn't a problem it is part of the strategy right, but where it gets interesting is when you get a combination of different things happening at once. First inexperienced players actually have a lot more pull because noone knows they are inexperienced and they can be manipulated by the elims through PM's, Second the experienced players can get distracted by the inexperienced ones because of bad logic or just mistakes ( like I made when i got way too passionate defending myself against Ivory, which lead to the we got to save flamingo group, which lead to the PM (dis)trust group debacle which... yeah), Third any good reads made by players are noticed by the elims but you have to convince the inexperienced players that somehow you aren't an elim because you need there votes. Fourth when a player who made good reads dies the inexperienced players assume he died because his role (unless he is vanilla villager) and not because his reads, because the enemy team has a skybreaker. And lastly the elims know who are their inexperienced players (heck they actually know who each others accounts are!) so they are able to guide, and train, and mentor them. Now the list I laid out I actually don't consider most of them a problem they are just new factors that happened because the nature of the game that when we do it again have to be taken into account by all the players. I know that if I can play in the next Anonymous game I will be looking at people who dieds reads much more thoroughly and make sure to explain my arguments much more convincingly rather than just stating something. I think the only things that I would suggest we change is 1). No revealing or suggesting who you are in thread and in ANY doc (elim doc included) 2). No revealing or hinting at experience level either These two rules would ensure that an anonymous game would be solely focused on analysis and merit of posts and the elims would need to evaluate their ideas solely on analysis and merits of their ideas in the documents not on the less experienced immediately following the R&R (which would make the elims have a bit different experience too which is always fun and R&R players ideas should be able to be backed up by good discussion in a document anyways ) Edit: just rereading my post I thought I would just reaffirm that I thoroughly thought this game was balanced and winnable by either team and it was fun so I'm not trying to complain or anything just making observations of how to maybe make it slightly better and the differences this format brings about.
  20. This is the thing I'm not sure of either, I know I personally would love to participate. But maybe it could be just based on a signup waitlist. As for the mentors I was thinking the Mods/GM's could nominate people that are eligible to mentor for their exceptional play and the community votes on them or vice versa. Another option is that perhaps much like the vouchers for games that were given out at AG4 there could be vouchers that you could win for participation to be mentored by someone. Sorry just throwing a lot of ideas around I really dont know enough about the community as a whole yet to make very detailed suggestions. But I do think that the idea would be worth figuring out the details
  21. "Roid tink that too.... but why Shu vote on Straw then if he knew not in danger? Maybe people want us to tink Shu is Captain? Or other captain not like Coops reason of voting? Other story is Shu is captain but evil captain... Roid not like tinking about other tinks" (sidenote how do you RP guessing that someone is a Captain? wouldn't you know? Like "Hey soldier I am honored and respected by all and I think you should toss away your vote.... But don't tell anyone that I am honored and respected by all let's keep it a secret " is that how it goes? :P) "Roid been in army with Fahmxa(devotary) time before, Roid forget that Fam'exa not talk much, but now Fah" Roid paused his eyes showing concentration "mexa? Now it give Roid the tingles on back of neck, like Roid being watched but not seeing person watching." At this Roid started scratching the back of his neck nervously eyes looking about. ------- How do you guys get the single spaces on the vote tallies I was having one heck of a time yesterday trying to do it.
  22. Hey @little wilson thanks for liking the idea Either way honestly, I meant as a game built around a mechanic since it would be a time commitment. But If some mentors were willing I think the second has a lot of promise! I think by necessitation of fairness the mentor would have to abstain from spec docs for that game so they can't draw from anything besides what the mentee can see if that makes sense. Which would mean that they would play less, but I trust that you guys can find the balance. But yeah in general I think the chance of being able to play through a game with someone and have them ask me " A lot of people suspect _____ this cycle, what do you think? Why do you think that? This is what I think and why." would be a great way to help those that want to improve whether they are brand new or a bit older.
