  1. I thought it was a bit of an interesting choice to adapt, Shannara doesn't quite have the same tone as GoT (Assuming they're trying to ride it's success) but I'm certainly not complaining. Hopefully it goes better that the 'WoT' pilot. *grumble grumble*
  2. If you're ever looking for more ingredients the Dark Alley is always looking for new recruits.
  3. Little known fact, TLR's Atium bracers have stolen the swag from all of ancient Scadrials most popular celebrities.
  4. Are you trying to muscle in on the Dark Alleys baking racket? Last time that happened was... unpleasant.
  5. Teleporting Arsenal and Deathwish to Salem?
  6. I tend to take the thought behind it so it still means a lot to me, thanks Kobold I really need to update the wiki more With difficulty He has a purse on strings, when someone pays him they just drop the money into it, when he pays someone else they take the money out, very carefully.
  7. The third book completely blew it for me, it's one of the only series that I haven't re-read after finishing.
  8. Apologies for the lack of a 'day in the life of' story yesterday, been battling a pretty horrific cold and am currently trying to locate one of my lungs from when I coughed it up. Hopefully I can get a couple of posts up later.
  9. What are the odds that either now or in the future you will own a dog that looks like this?
  10. So I should stop distributing mallets and spikes whenever I see the word Vashikaraan pop up?
  11. Depends on numbers too obviously, if the armies were the same size then Koloss would wipe the lifeless out pretty easily, but a lifeless army 2 or three times bigger might manage it.
  12. I imagine Fabrials would be the easiest method, although given that he's an Awakener I wouldn't be surprised if he could just absorb it as is.
  13. Conclusive proof that the god of the bible/quran/torah/Illiad exists exactly as described.
  14. Or is the protagonist in an Epic fantasy...
  15. I haven't heard from him in a while though I've seen him about the place.
  16. Yeah we've been trying to finish up the days for Portland and the Dalles for a while now but they seem to be dragging on a bit. Ah well, a lot's happened I guess.
  17. I couldn't think of a creepy enough Epic name so I just went with the capitalized 'He' That said feel free to picture 'Him' as the above.
  18. I don't think there's anything special about Hoids immortality as compared to say TLR, he's just more confident and subtle in it's usage, pretty sure any amount of physical damage won't kill TLR and neither would a Shardblade.
  19. They'd certainly be difficult to push/pull on, I suspect it would differ between living and dead Blades but I think WoB was that it would be difficult but not impossible.
  20. I have an excellent memory for numbers, having memorized the first thousand digits of pi for no apparent reason. I have an odd compulsion to create Epic profiles. I am 6'5. Sometimes I feel like wee demons are trying to gouge my eye out with a hot poker.
  21. Ah, well on that point there's an even easier point to make, namely that there is no doctrine regarding those issues. If abiogenesis was proven completely impossible tomorrow it would not influence my atheism one bit, it would have no bearing on evolution whatsoever and no bearing on the big bang. There's no atheist gospel that commands us to believe in those three things and so other than the fact that they deal with tangentially related issues they really have no connection for me. If however someone were to reveal that one of the books of the bible was a complete fraud beyond a shadow of a doubt it would have massive ripple effects throughout all of Christianity, calling into question the divinely inspired nature of the bible, every passage that references that book, every theological argument that used a passage from that book. The key point to keep in mind is that atheism is a very catch all term, we have no gospel or leaders, no structure, no regular meetings, we have a wide array of different beliefs. Some atheists don't believe in the supernatural at all some just don't believe in gods, some atheists believe in the afterlife some don't, some feel they should troll online religious groups, others don't see the point.
