It wasn't much of a spoiler but edited just to be safe, please keep SH spoilers to the SH board for now. Once we hit the 9th you can post them here in spoiler tags but until then we're keeping the spoilers contained there. On topic I like to think that he went worldhopping, I don't see him just sitting around in a time bubble letting time pass him by, he'd be doing something at least.

Welcome to the forums! On your question that's something that I don't believe we've actually had answered so I can't help you there. Sorry.
-
A reminder: Please don't post spoilers for Secret History outside of the subforum, if you want to talk about both do it in Secret History since we're assuming those who have read SH have read Bands. A few more days til the policy is that you can hide them in spoiler tags but until then just keep it to the SH subforum.
-
If you follow a topic, particularly if you choose to get your notifications through email like I do the spoilers aren't omitted and the email program doesn't register the tags so you just see inside it. Not the only or necessarily main reason but just one of them so you know it's not just some arbitrary thing.

Just current policy for the first two weeks after release, after the 9th it'll be allowed but right now this spoiler policy is still in effect.
-
A bit of both, bullet time is mostly steels thing but you get a bit of it from zinc too, mostly though it allows you to make intuitive leaps more easily IIRC.
-
Please don't post any spoilers for Secret History outside of the subforum, even if you put it in spoiler tags.

Random Stuff VII: The Admins Awaken
Voidus replied to Young Bard's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I may have contacts who have certain... methods, of preserving spike charges. -
Nope, just another alias. His real name is revealed in the Liar of Partinel, I think there's a sample available somewhere if you're interested.

I'd recommend using the sky rather than the center of the earth, it's either a solid (In which case nothing could enter the portal) or a liquid of very high temperature and pressure which would also stop most things from entering the portal and also gush out magma. Sky seems like an easier solution.

Depends if it's in our current lives or in a Mistborn setting, Feruchemy is awesome and all but somewhat less useful for modern life, though being able to store warmth in an Australian summer would be awesome. It's not very often that I need to run 10x faster or be 10x stronger, mental speed could arguably be useful but that's the one attribute that I would have trouble storing since my brain tends to like being all on all the time. On the other hand Allomantic pewter provides additional strength and speed at a reasonable level as well as endurance and balance which would probably suit me more, Bendalloy can provide much the same effect as Feruchemical steel can if needed and Iron and Steel let you bloody fly.

Blame the Admins, they turned me into a mod by spiking me so it's done little to dissuade me from doing the same to others

Books are many great and awesome things but delicious is not one of them. Cookies that give you magic powers on the other hand are both awesome and delicious. Not that I'm biased or anything. Anywho, welcome to the forums! hope you enjoy the rest of Bands as much as I did.

Suggestion on the swords thing: His father wanted him to be a national champion at Kendo/Fencing/some sword discipline so rather than teaching it as a means of defense it's taught for tournaments, parents beating their children in order to live through them is a sad and depressing but realistic motive I'd think. And I'm pretty ok with not having a sword being his weakness as a medium for a fear of disappointing his father, though I'd give something of a hard limit on the distance it has to be, given how Epic weaknesses tend to be I'd imagine it would need to be quite close, like 10 meters or so.

And Terris children are probably even less likely to discover any Allomantic potential.

Or a Worldhopper who was attempting to travel to the south.

Please remember not to post BoM or Secret History spoilers outside of the relevant forums for the time being. See the spoiler policy on the books here.

Welcome to the forums! Discussions that feature Bands of Mourning spoilers are held strictly in the Bands of Mourning subforum at the moment but there are other boards for other books and theories abound so I hope you have fun perusing. Can I interest you in a welcome-cookie?

I don't think so, I assume those know better, just some bookstore or library that got an early shipment probably.

Yeah another mod hid it for obvious reasons and I'm still new to this whole mod thing so I thought I'd see why, it wasn't the whole ending thankfully just one thing but regardless. I may do just that. In fact I just got a rather good idea for a WHOOC so I will hopefully get something up tonight.

Yeah maybe just knives? That way he can rationalize that a sword is different enough to not spend every minute of every fight absolutely petrified. In other news my ability to view hidden topics has led me to having the end of Calamity spoiled for me. Anyone have some characters I can kill to vent my rage?

Welcome to the forums! Spoilers on secret history are being dealt with pretty seriously at the moment so make sure you only post about it in the secret history subforum for now. Would you care for one of the mentioned cookies?
