  1. Godeke and Stargyle.
  2. I guess the GB's have better access to FotS than the Ones Above do. Er, will.
  3. Okay, thanks! Like I said, him not being THE Ghostblood Guy explains a lot.
  4. Just the opposite, actually-- WoB is that Mraize's bird is an Aviar. I'm going on the assumption that Red Chicken is, as well.
  5. Does it say anywhere? I've been wondering... and then this morning I came across this WoB: If Kell took over rather than creating them from scratch... I feel that would explain a lot.
  6. There's some significant information you're lacking. VERY significant information.
  7. I haven't seen anyone talking about Nale's flashbacks that Dalinar saw... so Nale and Jez used to be enemies? And then Jezrien admitted Nale was in the right, seemingly right before inviting Nale into the Oathpact?
  8. What? When? Where?
  9. Then wouldn't she have done so already?
  10. Sorry to sink your ship... but Leshwi is probably still in that malen body by the end of RoW. Since she's not going to be bodysnatching any more innocent Singers, she's stuck as a malen/male. Maybe she could have kids with a human woman, but not with Kal.
  11. I finally found the time to start reading the Dawnshard drafts... but the "digital download" links don't seem to be working anymore.
  12. I dunno, sounds like a proper darkeyes name to me.
  13. I was right that the spren were on board with the Recreance.
  14. I was wondering if the reason all those Deadeyes were converging on Lasting Integrity was because they somehow sensed that Adolin was restoring Maya. So yeah, I'm all for Adolin the non-radiant Deadeye Whisperer.
  15. Engineering and fabrial science are her skill, her joy; the Vorins would say it was her Calling. And now she's bonded to the Spren Liberation Activist. What is she supposed to do now? Give up her life's passion to please the Sibling? Keep on fabrialing and basically spit in the face of her spren's principles? I am having trouble seeing a viable path forward here.
  16. Now that I've had a few days to think about it... When Oathbringer came out, I was in a sort of daze for a few days because I couldn't reconcile my feelings. There were a lot of parts I had complaints about, but the Sanderlanch was boss. "Always the next step," "It's not a journey if it doesn't have a beginning," "I will protect those I hate even if the one I hate most is myself." I'm still repeating these lines to myself years later, trying to live up to themWith Rhythm of War, I had similar feelings of "I have a lot of problems with the plot"-- but not the "storms, yeah!" feelings at the ending. RoW left me worried about Todd, shocked and upset about Testament, sick feeling in my stomach after the epilogue... sure, Kal swore his fourth oath, but everyone knew what it was going to be; practically knowing it in advance robbed the scene of emotion for me, the same way knowing from WoBs that humans weren't native to Roshar made the Big Reveal of OB fall flat. As Hoid says, expectations are a story-killer, and I'm sure on further rereads I'll like the good bits better and find the flaws less glaring, the same as happened with OB. But for now, I'm just... in a disappointment daze. (feel free to jump in and tell me I'm being silly, it helps when other people praise the book to the heavens)
  17. *attunes the Rhythm of Pity*
  18. Isn't there a line like that the first time around? Hoid thinks, "that went exactly how I imagined", then catches himself and goes "wait, that one thing was wrong." In the do-over, Odium just skips his line that made Hoid suspicious.
  19. Truth #4: "I killed everyone! Roshar has been an illusion this whole time!"
  20. Ooh, good catch! Maybe that was Culti's endgame? Creating a new Odium that was weaker than a regular Odium?
  21. It's been put out there yet, yes. It's pretty hard to see who Thaidakar could be other than Kelsier. I mean, being a scarred Cognitive Shadow is circumstantial, but I don't think Hoid's been able to beat anyone else up since the Shattering.
  22. All of them were right, surprisingly enough. Though some of them went down a bit differently than I would have thought.
  23. I've been calling him Taravodium.
  24. He said during his thirty seconds of sanity that it was because a Bondsmith had leveled up, and that being near any Knight swearing a new Oath would probably be helpful.
