  1. No, but if I were a kandra I'd go out of my way to minimize my differences at the time of the takeover.
  2. The thing is, you guys latched on to Mrall because of his lack of hair. If he switched out with the real Mrall after Mrall had met T, then there's no reason real!Mrall to be bald. Unless you're saying that Mrall just showed up for work one day with a drastic haircut, which would rather defeat the purpose.
  3. Denth's betrayal was like a physical punch in the gut. The Recreance reveal was kind of "meh" to me because Brandon had already said that humans weren't native to Roshar. I was about 60% certain Sazed was the Hero of Ages by the end of WoA. Didn't see Vin's earring coming, though. When Nightblood turned up at the end of WoR I think I screamed and ran around the room. Nale + Szeth + Nightblood = DOOOM FOR EVERYONE!! (I was shocked to see Szeth as a moderating influence in OB).
  4. In Mistborn, Leras's big plan has an awful lot of very specific moving parts. Especially considering that he put everything into motion a thousand years ago, and has been mostly dead since. There had to have been a huge about of precise precognition involved. But Ati can see the future, too, and they're actively working against each other. So why don't they cancel each other out? And we know that Shards can suffer from the atium-shadow effect. Over in Roshar, Renarin's futuresight, which he gets from Odium's power, confounds Odium enough that he can't see Renarin on the Diagram. You'd think that an actual Shard vs Shard effort would wipe out their prognostications completely.
  5. I was trying to come up with a "clever" username (after lurking in a thread like this one), and I don't always think well under pressure, and somehow I ended up trying to pun on "necessary evil". I like your explanation better, I think I'll go with that one.
  6. I gotta admit, @Child of Hodor makes me laugh each time. @Kelsier'sGodComplex and @hoiditthroughthegrapevine are pretty good, too.
  7. It's not, I swear to Adonalsium, it's just a game called Flight Rising.
  8. Szeth is a dragon! (Funnily enough-- a complete coincidence, I'm told-- that game is copyrighted to "Stormlight Workshop"). edit: Szeth is many Skydancers
  9. His Perspicaciousness Mraizeziarm II, Earl of Bork. More accurately, it was a custody battle over their secret lovechild, May Aladar.
  10. I was not on the bandwagon until this chapter, but eff Moash.
  11. Well now we know what Renarin's weirdo Illumination can do.
  12. There's been discussions about whether there's any real downsides, from the Fused perspective, to getting killed. Several people have said that, well, each reincarnation breaks them more, they're going to go mad much faster. That may well be true. However, I'd like to present an alternative hypothesis: that the mental damage of spending up to nine days in the Everstorm in negligible compared to spending decades or centuries stewing in Odium juice on Braize, which is what happened when they died in previous Desolations. I personally think that repeated deaths this round will have less of an effect on them than their one-and-done deaths in the past.
  13. The Grand Imbecile.
  14. What's the matter? It's not like I've told them about any of the juicy stuff, like the Hemalurge exchange program, or the Rejected Unmade Brigade, or Mraize's secret Not Safehand For Work collection. Heh, even I know better than to talk about such things.
  15. Maybe I'm getting html and BBC mixed up? (That would explain why nothing came up in my searches)
  16. Whodunnit, my friends? Did Ialai kill herself or was it murder?
  17. Yes, the expletives seem to use shortened forms of their names, at least the ones referring to body parts.
  18. Okay, no spaces, gotcha. I was used to another site where you do put spaces in the brackets for things. testing testing
  19. I was trying to make a line in my post either white or small, and nothing was working. And I tried doing searches for supported html and either the site is just being a huge chull or no one has ever discussed the topic before. (Or mobile is being a chull, that's always an option too)
  20. Ash's eyes! Taln's palms! Kelek's breath! Nale's... nuts? yes he is
  21. Jeez, we're letting you be blade-fodder for a secret society, what more do you want? Storming darkeyes, they're all so entitled these days.
  22. Rayse has been attempting to meddle with the recipe. If he is allowed the freedom to interfere, cosmere ramen will be an unsatisfying concoction of Styrofoam-like noodles in way too much salt and MSG. We're trying to keep him distracted with this whole Final Desolation thing. Sure, it's killed off a few of us (and more than a few of not-us), but is any price too great to pay for perfect pasta? Didn't think so. I'm not saying we've infiltrated your group on so many levels that we've metaphorically got the keys to your front door... but the chicken chouta in the 17S cafeteria is excellent, give our compliments to the cook. Your death is all part of our Nefarious Plan. I hope that makes you feel better.
  23. I've been accepted into the Ghostbloods! I don't remember applying, actually, but this morning I noticed the new title by my name. I guess I impressed them from afar? Anyway, now I'm a member and I know everything. Everything. I also fundamentally fail to comprehend the secret part of "secret society" . Ask away!
  24. With humans, it basically works that Bob (a holy name in Vorinism) loses his hand in a an unfortunate accident (involving Horneater ale, three chickens, and Hoid, but we won't go into that). Bob sees himself as a guy with two hands. Renarin uses Bob's perception of himself as a template to regrow the hand. So. How much self-awareness is required in the process? If an axehound loses a leg, how does that change its Cognitive aspect? If it doesn't have awareness outside of now, and now is pain and hobbling around, is healing impossible? If it is intelligent enough to remember that there was a time that wasn't, pain, would that be enough, or would it have to have some recognition that pain =\= normal? Is Dalinar's "healing" of Taln's temple relevant in any way to this discussion? Or do inanimate objects and/or Bondsmiths just work under different rules?
