Yes. RoW ch 113

I don't understand what you mean. There were many reasons, but the main one was to save Roshar from becoming like Ashyn, destroyed by Surges. Perpendicularity like that has nothing to do with Surges nor can cause destruction, nor would another gate between realms close to the Tower be a problem, it would likely be even an advantage as it could quickly get under Radiant's influence and fees.
-
How would perpendicularity cause destruction of Roshar while there is 22 gates already open on it? Edit: moreover they were in the Tower for thousends of years and it took only 6 or so years on Scadrial to made one.

How do Feruchemical and Hemalurgy nicrosil differ?
alder24 replied to Mistchemist16's topic in Mistborn
I was talking about poeple by saying that. People there can't get Aviar's powers even if they eat bugs. Welcome to the world of quantum physics. Matter can be Investiture while also being just a matter at the same time. This time we're talking about a pure form of investiture. While it wouldn't be wrong to consider also matter and energy in this, those two doesn't change phrases and remain matter and energy, so what's important is only investiture. We don't know if Adonalsium created the Cosmere. Cosmere Big Bang did happen. Adonalsium however created and invested many worlds (like Roshar) and his investiture was everywhere. Not all investiture was his (Dawnshards/Aethers). Investiture transcends the three realms. While there are the same thing, they have different forms, which interact under different rules with world. I consider innate investiture as a part of a soul. Which doesn't meant you have to have it - drabs doesn't have it. I don't truly have an opinion on that. Cosmere is technically a star cluster of 100 stars or so, not the whole universe. Brandon always talks about Cosmere, so we don't know if investiture is present across the whole cosmere (like Dark Matter isn't everywhere), but within Cosmere, investiture is likely everywhere. Its concentration might differ, but it won't significantly increase/decrease innate investiture unless there is a Shard present in a world. -
I believe it's uniform across whole body. But it might provide some form of resistance to temperature changes, such as iron weight doesn't crush your bones, so those hurtful effects won't happen (if you don't tap body-melting temperatures). Brass could also affect heat transfer across your body, so the temperature change would be more quick and uniform. I've found WoBs, storing heat makes you fire resistant:

How do Feruchemical and Hemalurgy nicrosil differ?

Literally in the quote... "but what you might find is a way there are magic aspects to the setting". Scadrial would likely also be invested in some way by every Shard, because it was created in preexisting star system. But likely less then normal. No, we're not talking about matter and energy in the system, we are talking about investiture that is there, in the form of investiture, left over from Adonalsium. I never claimed that people there don't have innate investiture, they have, because there were left over from Adonalsium, which during Shattering were associated to all 16 Shards equally. As the WoB talks about, Autonomy realized that there is her investiture, and she reached out and shaped it, without adding anything more. This didn't change the amount of investiture in the system, it's still the same and innate investiture is still the same as it used to be. -
Investiture fueled Mistborn Vs. Radiant

This looks more like adhesion, that pulling the pieces back together, yes Dalinar has to lift it and put it in its place, but adhesion helps. Talk to me again when Daliar lifts 1t piece of rock that never was part of an ancient temple. Did you ever see a bullet hitting an ice surface? It leaves behind a big hole https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcvzQvIHeqU There is no deflection, it's simply because there is no grip, and force vector components are giving you direction of movement. You still step on the ice with the same force, as if it was a concret, you just don't have a grip to stop the movement into secondary directions. No friction. That's what this is all about, friction. And friction has an equation, which has a coefficient in it. Make coefficient equal 0, you have 0 friction but still have a force acting on the surface with the same value. Ok, it is described as moving faster, but this kind of pewter would still make you even faster. -
How do Feruchemical and Hemalurgy nicrosil differ?
alder24 replied to Mistchemist16's topic in Mistborn
Every world was invested by Adonalsium! Every world is invested by all 16 Shards because of that. But that is small amount compared to Shard-invested world. The WoB I provided literally dismiss your claim - "Were you "Invested" there? No..." Read it. There are no invested abilities there, 3rd WoB: "You aren't going to find Mistborn on a world like that but what you might find is a way there are magic aspects to the setting. Spren could exist on a world like that but they would be like the minor spren, you wouldn't find Syl, but you would find something like lifespren.". -
Yes, and you need water, so 1/6 for Harmonium and 1/6 for water. It probably would look like a mini rpg. I doubt you could do it that small

Which was answered the same way in the cut version. This WoB was posted by me here earlier. Did you read the big WoB? Avatar is not investing a world as a Shard. He is a piece of the Shard, but this Shard doesn't have to invest the world to create Avatar, as his investiture is already there. Like I, and WoB posted by me, were talking, there is Adonalsium associated investiture everywhere in Cosmere, but not every world is Shard invested, like First of the Sun, and that's what I was talking about. -
Investiture fueled Mistborn Vs. Radiant
alder24 replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Because Dalinar was fixing the temple to its spiritual ideal. Radiant already reached his spiritual ideal. He didn't break the gate, he cut it with a Honorblade. He is a Herald with inhuman reflexes, they are different, it doesn't have to be a surge. True, but at that point Navani was already pushing Voidlight out of the Tower. But coppercloud of that strength most likely do "something" it's hard to say what. Maybe it will disrupt their ability to sense each other? He is bigger, he takes longer steps, stronger in legs then regular man. But plate won't provide much faster strikes, Stormlight won't make you faster at all. Pewter do. I don't think it would help. Deflection doesn't work because the surface is slippery, it's because of the angle the bullet struck its target, causing it to fail to penetrate. The forces applied would be still the same. The curved shape of a plate would help, but with the powers of this Mistborn it still could be too little in many situations. I don't know, I'm too stupid today to think about it in the right way. -
If chrysalis work the same way as butterflies, they turn themselves into goo and reassemble, so there is no physical strength for you to steal.

Read all my posts, there were WoBs about it. What I was talking about is Shard-invested world, First of the Sun is not Shard-invested world as no Shards reside there. There is however investiture that's left after Adonalsium, now associated with all 16 Shards. People from First of the Sun are less invested from Shard-invested worlds, and could be considered a "Cosmere standard" of some sorts. Drabs are less invested that those people, people form Shard-world are more. First WoB is what I was referring to: -
Investiture fueled Mistborn Vs. Radiant
alder24 replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Copperclouds affects sprens. With TLR level of power I think a copper can act similarly to how Void-Tower acted on sprens. As strong but much faster. Would it? Nale did easily stab Lift's clothes while she and clothes were awesome, and later kicked her (Edgedances ch 19), coins pushed with that power would likely still hit Radiant. Abrasion doesn't protect from being hit, just from grabing anc catching. Coppermind: "However, slicking doesn't reduce the force of direct collisions.[74]" That box has to have very thick walls, otherwise a simple punch with flared pewter, or duralumin would be pushed through it. Coins pushed with duralumin would also most likely make a hole. But it's still a good tactic. Increase your own strength? You mean what Dalinar did when fixing the temple? I don't think it works like that for Stonewards, nor combat Bondsmith. 1 on 1! Radiants still go on missions without squires, consider it like one. He never tried but felt like he could. But Radiants might be too invested for that. -
Considering koloss has 4 small spikes, each holding the strength of one human, you would either need one huge spike, too big to fit in the human body, or several more. While a chasmfiend is sharpening his teeth to eat you for dinner?

Investiture fueled Mistborn Vs. Radiant
alder24 replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Is Radiant fueled by pure investiture as well? Or does he has normal Stormlight but a lot of it? Would there even be a difference if Radiant was to be fueled by pure liquid Dor? I mostly agree with @therunner but: It's likely duralumin would want to burn all investiture at once. But what if Mistborn had just classical vials of liquid pure investiture and refuel? Easy solution. Or if they are more or less fueled directly by a Shard (like Elend HoA), then it wouldn't matter. I think it might be possible, but only with duralumin, pushing plate wouldn't disassemble it so you can't create openings that way, that's why I think it would be just impractical to use it, or as a very last effort to avoid being killed by a Shardblade. WoB: Because we are talking about being fueled by pure investiture, like Dor, or Shardpool from TLM, I think it would be less effective in pulling Shardblades normally (as it's still a bit too little investiture compared to the Well so not possible) but with duralumin it could have some effect, enough to push a Shardblade out of Radiant's hand before he kills you. To add more, I think it should be noted how powerful such Mistborn would be. And the best and only comparison is Rashek. Being powered with pure investiture would result in having powers of the the Lord Ruler - which was also noted by Marasi in TLM when using Dor/Shardpool. This is insane power on its own. Such Mistborn would be able to push metals inside of a Radiant (without plate, even though he's invested with Stormlight, but then it wouldn't be deadly), and simple smoothing and rioting would have a paralyzing effect, like we saw in TLM (again, the same rules as with pushing). But with duralumin it could be even more powerful and crippling. Using duralumin with emotional allomancy could potentially allow such Mistborn to paralyze Radiant even when he is fully invested with all his Stormlight. With that level of power, leeching maybe could affect Shardplate (larkins can feed on Shardplate's light (WoB below about dead plate?), it can work similarly with chromium at that level causing plate to dismiss sprens? Crack plate? Prevent healing?). Mistborn can leech reverse lashing, and if he has primar cubes, he can charge it with aluminum and throw it at Radiant/reverse lashing which would stop those powers (most likely he doesn't have them as then Radiant can have fabrials). But there is more, Mistborn powers are moving in the direction of influencing fundamental forces, so it's not just metals that can be pushed, this is on par with Radiant's surges (WoB below). If such Mistborn had time to prepare and learn more, then he would be far more dangerous. With this amount of power compared to Stormlight fueled Radiant, I think Mistborn would win in around 60% of fights with Windrunner. 90% with Lightweavers, 80% with Skybreakers, 10% with Elsecallers, 95% with Truthwatchers (non enlightened), 70% with Edgedancers. I'm not including Bondsmith (probably close to 0% as he can just steal his Allomancy), or other orders we know little about (non enlightened Truthwatchers are one of them, but because of their surges I'm sure they would not stand a chance). Edit: Wax with Bands of Mourning was able to see the soul of people, and fell he could move those as well (BoM ch 29) This means that going to CR might not hide Radiants from pure investiture fueled Mistborn. -
It can be but it's unlikely. Harmony said it himself that it should be called Bavadinium, so it is as close to confirmation as we can get without Brandon confirming it in WoB. Your description of Elandrians fits them. Fused are just more efficient types of Cognitive Shadow. There is something more to it like liquid Investiture. But Why would Radiants fear new perpendicularity when they already had 10 Oathgates and 4 Radiants that can access and travel there. We already know the reason of Recreance, perpendicularity doesn't pose a threat.

Every hemalurgic spike changes your soul and body. Using animal soul and attributes, and sticking it to yourself would likely result in severe unwanted effects. Moreover spikes can't fit everything in them, they have limits of how much hemalurgic charge they can fit. So you won't steal all Chasmfiend strength, because it won't fit in a single spike. Throwing people in plate around is not an ability, it is the effect of having that much strength. Not to mention how would you even spike Chasmfiend through his heart? There are meters of thick body and chitin there. They probably used dogs to create them. After all they are called Chimeras.

Elsecallers have big advantage, but they can't go into Spiritual Realm, just to Cognitive Realm. Ignoring the fact that right now they don't know about radioactivity, Soulcaster would have to create a tons of radioactive material, for decay heat to be this high. And all Radiants can heal or are protected by a Shardplate so this won't do much. Creating criticality events (radioactive material exceeding critical mass and shape, releasing extreme radiation) would still do nothing to Radiants as radiation poisoning kills in the long term, not immediately. There are far more practical methods of using soulcasting, like nukes, or soulcasting ground below Radiant into liquid, when he fell in and sank, soulcasing it back to lead, trapping him inside. But both Willshapers and Lightweavers can look or even transfer into Shadesmar, so Elsecallers are not invulnerable. I wonder if you can just cut in PR with a Shardblade and cut Elsecaller in CR, it should be possible, because Shardblade cuts in all 3 realms, and can cut lines manifesting in SR.

You forgot that Scadrial's day is 24h in 365 day year (Earth-like), Roshar's is 20h in 500 day year. We don't know how Rashek's actions changed Scadrial's day and year, but it didn't affect the character's age and Scadrial's calendar because Rashek kept an old one. So Kaladin's 2 Rosharian years, are 2.28 Scadrial's years. But this whole "age" argument has no point nor any sense. It's an argument just to disagree.

Keep in mind that Singers don't fight just for fighting, they fight not only for freedom, but for their minds. If they lose, they could end up as mindless slaves again. For them Fused are the only ones that fight on their side and make this fight even. Humans retreating from 90% of Roshar would be a victory, and would be more beneficial for Singers than Radiants. Do they even have to attack them? For that there would be a lot of volunteers, and when Singers realized how much it cost them, it would be too late.

This one is good. It gave me idea, that you can use brass to eat food as hot as you want!
