You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
A Budgie replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you convince your own mother to read a Sanderson book, and she spends the entire day reading it. -
Sounds like a good idea for getting down character personalities. With what you wrote...I agree that her thoughts on the book mingling with the conversation were a little confusing, although it was kinda what thoughts are like. Having it in quotation marks made me think she was talking at first, though, so you might want to change that. I usually use italics to show thought.

Turns out I'm INTJ.

Hello, nice to meet you and welcome to the shard! Definitely be careful around the cookies. Not only are they spiked, but we'll make awful puns about them as well.

Puns Puns Puns and More Puns
A Budgie replied to Queen Elsa Steelheart's topic in General Discussion
So, the other day I came up with ten new puns and decided to try out these puns on my friends, to see if any of the puns got a laugh. No pun in ten did. What did the door say when his baby girl was born? You're my door-ter. Okay, that's enough of that...- 328 replies

A Budgie replied to The Honor Spren's topic in Creator's Corner
So...this is a character from something I've been writing, his name is Aster and he's human. He's quite young, maybe ten or younger. Further description in the spoiler.- 25 replies

Topaz! Topaz! Topaz..! And Hoid..
A Budgie replied to Hoids Imaginary Friend's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Hm...it certainly does sound like the choosing of the name 'Topaz' was intentional, connected to aluminum as it is. Also, I did a quick search and apparently topaz is the gemstone of one of the ten essences on Roshar. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Ten_Essences has more information, but I don't think it's at all connected to this. Aluminum is certainly important though. -
Welcome to the shard and nice to meet you! It's nice to see more Aussies on here.

Hello, nice to meet you and welcome to the shard! I agree that you should be careful about the cookies. We'll make bad puns about them, which is never a good thing. Well, it can be amusing.

Our long bygone burdens mere echoes of the spring...

Hey, nice to meet you and welcome to the shard. -
Um...the cookies may or may not contain a hemalurgic spike. 'Spiked' food has certainly taken on a new meaning to us.

What would things have been like if all the shardworlds were all fully Cosmere-aware, meaning every person on the planet knew their entire lives there were other planets and about Adonalsium etc? Or even just one planet? Or what if no-one could worldhop using the cognitive realm and perpendicularities? That would mean that there may still be a certain amount of travel between the shardworlds, especially with certain types of magics and when people develop space-travel technology similar to our own, however it certainly wouldn't be as common, and there probably wouldn't be a Silverlight, or at least it wouldn't be as big.

Hey, welcome to the shard and nice to meet you! I recomend not eating the cookies, unless you enjoy being spiked.

Hey, and welcome to the shard! I would recomend being wary if anyone offers you cookies. As for the most memoriable part of the first Mistborn book...I'm not really sure...when Vin kills the Lord Ruler and says a line similar to what Kelsier said when he died was probably a big one for me.

Hello and welcome to the shard! As for bad puns, it's your choice. Some of your friends may begin to disown you if too many bad puns are made. On a seperate note, be careful of the cookies.

Welcome to the shard, and nice to meet you! Even if you are already aware of it, just be reminded to be careful of the cookies. I just saw some of your fanart- it's really good!

I think your rewritten main entry sounds pretty good, although with your first paragraph I think you should reword it a little so it flows a bit better, changing some of the fullstops to commas. Some of it also seems a little too detailed; I'm not sure if the main summary is supposed to show the entire plot or not, but it seems a little too much for me. This is just a personal judgement, however.

Just the fact that Lurchers and Coinshots can view the metal 'lines' could make them valuble for mining...it wouldn't surprise me if some mining sites on Scadrial have been found by people able to see the metal lines. They don't even have to pull the metal up; if they are able to detect large viens of metal below the surface they could easily make lots of money by selling the information about the location to a mining company.

new and in search of next book suggestions!
A Budgie replied to dorkspren's topic in Introduce Yourself!
Hey, welcome to the shard and nice to meet you! I would suggest being wary of the cookies. I agree, probably read Warbeaker and the Mistborn books next. -
Hello, nice to meet you and welcome to the shard! Be very, very wary of the cookies. Not only will we make bad puns about them, before derailing entire threads to make way for the puns, but they may or may not be a little spiked...

Alright, one of my friends keeps on getting this song stuck in my head...it's from a show she likes...
-
When I get songs stuck in my head, they're not always songs people will know...like choir songs...or they're weird ones my friends have shown me that I don't feel I want to show in case I am judged.

Hey, welcome to the shard! Definitely be careful around those cookies.
