  1. Hey, welcome to the shard and nice to meet you! Seriously don't eat the cookies.
  2. Hey, welcome to the shard and nice to meet you!
  3. I relate to that so much. I have said similar on some occassions...
  4. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo that would be horrifying... Although, knowing my choir teacher she would probably do something horrible to the people singing along. Make them sing, maybe. Get up at five thirty in the morning for choir, then try and sightread a new song and sing note names for the major triads in Ab major. Yes...
  5. Nice! What I'm currently writing only has about 10,000, so I've got a lot to go...
  6. I am, although I don't do much photoshop but I think it could be fun.
  7. Hey, nice to meet you and welcome to the shard!
  8. This, plus the stories from my real-life friends, is why I'm glad I don't have siblings.
  9. @Erunion don't worry, I don't really ship them, although I'm not much of a shipper anyway, so I don't really care if they're together or not. But I think it's really just up to the reader...
  10. If my English class (plus friends, because I don't really have any in my current English class) was reading LOTR, one of my friends would be shipping Sam and Frodo so, well, I doubt she thinks he needs a love life...
  11. I once got a barrel dropped on my big toe. It turned a funny colour.
  12. Hello, welcome to the shard and nice to meet you. The Turkish cover for WoR looks very different...I'd only seen the English and Russian I think covers before now (although I do know how to say 'cosmere' and 'Stormlight Archive' in Italian). Are you a native speaker of Turkish, or English?
  13. Especially You'll Be Back. It doesn't get any more earwormy than that.
  14. Hey, nice to meet you and welcome to the shard!
  15. I know the feel...Not the dating stuff, but some of the self-doubt stuff. When I write, I go from 'this is a great idea!' to 'this is a piece of [insert appropriate comparion] and about 10* worse than what I would even consider reading.' In other words, I can't help you but I can sympathise.
  16. This is beautiful... Also funny, because I know someone with the same name (I think I prefer the turtle though).
  17. Hey, welcome to the shard and nice to meet you!
  18. I agree with this. Jasnah was much more experienced than Shallan, so I would say the person soulcasting has an effect on things.
  19. Hey, welcome to the shard and nice to meet you! I agree, avoid the cookies.
  20. A hexaflexagon is a shape you can make out of paper, and it has rather unusual properties...if you're interested in maths/arty stuff, I would recommend looking into them. They're really cool. There's two types: trihexaflexagons, and hexahexaflexagons. The latter is more complex and harder to make. Hm...not sure. I would be suspicious, and would probably just ignore them and move on. Or be polite and just say no.
  21. I think The name of the Wind is worth it if you have the free time to really read it, and read it in a few days/weeks. I think that if you don't have too much time, and you read it over a few months or so, I think it might not be not as good.
  22. Protect my food. As someone who lives in Australia, I know what seagulls can be like. And they usually want your food.
  23. As someone who has braces I understand your pain. I was eating soft food for a week. When I finally managed to eat a pie again, I felt so proud...
  24. Woah, that's...woah. I've thought about giving blood, but this is giving me doubts.
  25. Hello, and welcome to the shard! I'm not sure what my favourite system is. They're all good... Anyway, as for who writes the essays in AU, that would be Khriss.
