  2. Hello, and welcome to the shard!
  3. It's a type of bird, a parrot to be exact, and appears as my profile picture. This is the short explanation. Budgerigars, the name of which is Aboriginal and often shortened to 'budgie' is a species of parrot native to Australia. They are small, and although the native birds came primarily in the colour green, with a yellow head, they were domesticated and bred to have more blue colouring with white heads, or a mixture of the two colour schemes. Some budgies are also white, or black-and-white, or even purple, but most budgies are blue-and-white or green-and-yellow. Budgies are often known as popular households pets due to both their size and their ability to mimic human words and other sounds. They are also incredibly adorable.
  4. Thanks for asking, but I should be fine.
  5. Hello, and welcome to the shard! Just be careful of the cookies. @Shqueeves but you could be fire
  6. I didn't have the greatest day, either...
  7. I have nothing better to do as I wait for a video to load, so why not. Ask me anything! Within reason.
  8. I'm not sure. I certainly don't remember any exact description of his height. Of course, part of height is bearing. He might seem shorter at some time when he is 'grandfatherly,' or less intelligent, as you put it, but at other times be more imposing. As for being portly, you can look grandfatherly without being fat. But I don't remember anything exact from the books, either.
  9. Hello, nice to meet you, and welcome to the shard! I would advise you to be careful of the cookies.
  10. Hey, nice to meet you and welcome to the shard. Just remember, if you dislike puns, about now is a good time to run.
  11. Welcome o the shard, and nice to meet you! Be careful of the cookies.
  12. Oh, school. We've just started back at it, with me in year ten this year. Except of course, because my school is all 'we pride ourselves in forcing everyone to be smart,' we all have compulsary year 11 curiculum English courses. Which I have to admit seems pretty good so far... But seriously. My school is kinda high pressure. Most of my friends would find a test result of 60% utterly painful... So yeah, I've been a bit busy with school.
  13. I'm currently playing Sunburst, as well as Tico Tico and my ensemble pieces. I'm sorry and I realise someone's probably already done this joke, but as someone who doesn't game I felt the need to do this.
  14. This. If you don't want to listen to the entire song, just look at Andrew York's expressions as he plays. Also, sorry about the talking-thing. This is the only version I can actually find with the introduction.
  15. Agatha Christie's Poirot tv series. The one with David Suschet as Poirot. I've watched it so many times over the years, including a few times as a little kid, but I still love it.
  16. Birds, especially parrots such as budgies, and big cats. I saw a drawing on the internet of something along these lines and it was the cutest. What is your favourite way to have potatoes?
  17. Hello, and welcome to the shard! Sorry I'm a little late, I was at school.
  18. Oh, I'm fine with books including sex scenes. However, I like them to be tactful. I don't want to spend time reading about how two characters had sex and what they did and stuff. Not something I find particularly interesting. Although I'm not much into romance in any case...
  19. Good to know...
  20. Try doing it when you're listening to an audiobook.
  21. Just finished One by Sarah Crossan, and started on The Wise Man's Fear, book two of the Kingkiller Chronicles. I've heard that it has some sex scenes, so I'm a bit wary, but it should be good. Next I might read Pawn of Prophecy, first book of the Belgarid. My mum recomended it to me, so it should be good.
  22. Hello! Nice to meet you and welcome to the shard. I would advise you to steer clear of the cookies.
  23. Hey, and welcome to the shard! Nice to meet you.
  24. It's a real pity I can't at the moment remember any of the funny things my friends have said, except for this one: 'Like naked jellybean baby kangaroos.' - my friend, on the appearence of budgie chicks. If I remember any more, I'll probably post them.
