  1. But it seems she cannot suck in stormlight in its natural form, which might be part of the bane. She never has spheres on her person, but passes through gem lit areas without affecting them...not conclusive, but indicative.
  2. IF those are not metal walls it really does not matter ....
  3. @DiamondMind I like your ideas, but I still think only the Primary Attribute is being corrupted for the following reasons. Jezrien is still considered a leader among most religions on Roshar, and he was the one that waited for Kalak in the prologue. Nale is definitely very confident in his task of killing proto gradients. Don't have much for Ash except she is honest in what she wants destroyed. Nothing for Kalak without more research. Even as erratic as Taln has been shown, he shows some resourcefulness in the infiltration scene. Now Ish I is definitely still trying to guide all the others down a specific path. Mostly it is Nale and Ish I who make me lean towards the primary corruption only... @Shuffel I think the quote your referring to is in Edgedancer...I'll try to find it. @Drake Marshall yes that is sequence...times are debatable, but I am working on a timeline post....takes awhile to collect and cite all the posts and WOB, but basically the big point will be that there was less than 1000 years of desolation.
  4. Hmmmm, that's what I suspected, was wondering how I had zero on a couple of my posts.
  5. When someone gives you negative reputation, do you get a message like you do when they give you positive?
  6. It is they way he says it that makes me think it. The wording seems off from the examples we have of his normal speech.
  7. Hoid knew the Heralds either from prior Desolations or prior to the Oathpact. From WOK: When Taln appears, Wit refers to him as "my confused, unfortunate friend" This is not part of a conversation any longer at this point, but more along the lines of something muttered to himself, so it is not an act for others. His wording lacks its usual satire and charm. This implies that he either spent a lot of time during one of the prior Desolations on Roshar in Talns company, or that he knew him prior to the Oathpact. Possibly as far back as Yolen.
  8. Oh, just was not familiar with that term.
  9. Or you could do something like the cosmere questions thread where you can up or down vote without using any of your 16.
  10. Ahh, I guess it makes sense I couldn't get this on my kindle.
  11. Lol I just found this too From JordanCon this year. And what is the Stormlight Archive Pocket Companion? I have never heard of it?
  12. @Extesian It is the combination of eyes, skin and hair that is the key though. These work off of two totally interactive gene sets. This means that some of the genes will express all 3 traits, some will express in 2 of the 3, some will only express in 1 of the 3. There are also genes will turn on and off some of these other genes, some of which are recessive. For example, eye color has over 10 known genes affecting it. This link goes into more detail. NIH Yellow eyes are technically not a normal human color. When I see it, I generally think it refers to Amber eyes like this. More info Here.. Interestingly, only certain general genotypes in South America and Asia express this phenotype. That makes it a fairly good indicator of Asiatic ancestors (Native Americans being most closely genetically related to far Eastern Asains) regardless of skin and hair. Therefore Yellow/Amber eyes spotted in the cosmere are probably the best indication of a common descent with the Iriali!
  13. Excellent thoughts, very much along the lines which I have been thinking. One thing, it is quite feasible that Silverlight was one of the stops and considered a "land". I had been leaning for Nalthas to be one of the 3, but had not noticed the golden petals. There are also shard worlds we have not seen so far. Every time, I see "The One", I get an echo in my mind saying "we live for the One, we die for the One"
  14. I have been considering that for a while now as one option. The second being stormfather and nightwatcher, with Ishar making the third. Nightwatcher being an option since the majority of the KR spren are a combination or Honor and Cultivation.
  15. I don't think you can say that with certainty. The second quote is clearly just before the Requience. The first quote does not give an indication of time period other than "during the times of Madasa" This could be prior to the Last Desolation. It really doesn't even say that 3 is an upper limit. Just that 3 was a not uncommon number for them. 20% of the time would still be "not uncommon". The phaseing is odd, because of that vs saying it was a common number for them. If it was 2/80% and 3/20%, I would say both are not uncommon. If the statement was a logic puzzle, I would say it was indeterminate.
  16. We learn more about other unmade. We only have small amounts of facts on 3 of them, and the names of 6. I theorize there should be 9. We get great revelations about the Scouring of Aimia. One more of the 10 Fools is shown and attributes listed. A truth about the Nexus in Shademar is revealed. 10k hidden items will be placed throughout the story for us to debate and discuss for the next 3 years.
  17. @The One Who Connects that is why I looked for aid. Report all WOK suspicious female here those of you rereading. I have found that Coppermind citations often cite itself in the form of a summery which is annoying..
  18. Interesting.....specifically the halls not the Iri...something more for my list.
  19. @Extesian said: The color has struck me too, especially when you take in to account the linguistics of Roshar. As I discuss in this thread.. The Iriali "Long Trail" mythology suggests newcomers as well. Maybe some came from Nalthas and brought the color infatuation with them long ago.
