I like seeing what everyone thinks. Also, Poll-ception? I approve. The most logical step of course now is to make a poll about polls on polls...

The contrast between these two things is hilarious. A concept I'm thinking of is a sword that gradually attunes the user to their surroundings the longer they are in combat. Essentially, the longer the person is in a fight, the more situational awareness they gain, until they reach the point that they can predict their opponent's movements.

It is shown that Endowment gives Returned a choice, but is there a chance that a person can be given a second second chance? If a Returned fails whatever it is they returned to do, is it still possible for them to Return again? Or just in general, if they die, is there anything stopping them from being given the offer? If this were true, how many times could said Returned re-Return?

Okay, I'm bored. Maybe I'll actually keep this up?
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to firstRainbowRose's topic in AMAs
What is your position on the ethical controversy of utilizing luminescent vegetation in the place of streetlights? If you had to broker peace between two warring nations of mole-people, how would you satisfy both the Deep-downer's wish for more caving rights and the Upperer-Cruster's desire for lucrative mineral access? -
Will Nightblood die?
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
If you managed to break Nightblood, would this be sufficient enough to "kill" him? I was thinking yes, since if we go by the "Nightblood is similar to a spren idea" after the sword is broken it can no longer be considered a sword, and as a result "Nightblood" cognitively would be dead. Or I could be wrong, I'm just throwing out ideas. As for whether he will, I don't think so, since he seems like one of the characters that will have an impact of events later in the Cosmere. -
Mistborn: House War
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Themasterhunter's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Will they ever make the cards available for people who aren't able to make it to any of the events? -
After noticing the similar names between Kaladin and Aladdin I couldn't help imagining this happening when Kaladin first meets Syl. Syl's "Spren Like Me"

Cosmere Death Threats
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Elithanathile's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I will kill you, and use pieces of your corpse to create armor that will distract the enemy. I will make you the star of a Cosmere version of Lost, only you'll be on Patji.- 40 replies

Feruchemist, because it's so easy to use, and because copper minds would be a great study tool. Not to mention Bronze gives you your own personal temperature control.

[OB] Oathbringer chapters 19-21
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Mestiv's topic in Stormlight Archive
It's official people! Even Gavilar believes in the power of the high ground! Dalinar was amusing with his "I-don't-see-the-big-deal" attitude. I can see why he might have such a reputation. In other news, the Kaladin chapter was interesting, if short. Learned more about the voidspren and got to hear more about the parshmen's side of things. It looks like Shallan might find out about Adolin's murder soon. November can't come quickly enough. -
What is Darkness Doing Now?
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Faceless Mist-Wraith's topic in Stormlight Archive
The main reason why I was unsure if the Skybreakers would listen to Nale is because he has spent a great deal of time telling them that they must kill surge binders, and has likely been telling them that it is both justified and necessary. To turn around and suddenly say "Oops. My bad, forget everything I've said for the past number of years", I wouldn't find it hard to believe that some of them wouldn't go along. They might think he has been tricked or corrupted. Either way, I was curious what level of impact a newly realized Herald could have on the upcoming story. -
Cosmere Death Threats
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Elithanathile's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I will spike you with f-gold hemalurgic spikes that are coated in rubbing alcohol, and then toss you into a bucket of molten aluminum. I will get the Ghostbusters to help me trap every shade on Threnody, and then I will surgically implant the ghost trap into your stomach so that I can release them into you all at once. I will end your experience.- 40 replies

How did Kelsier and Demoux become misting/mistborn?
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Master Knapper's topic in Mistborn
The reason Kelsier didn't snap despite spending so much time in the mists was because the mists only began snapping people after Preservation made them. Before HOA, they had no affect on people. As for Demoux, I believe it was explained in the annotations that the ones who were snapped had very (many generations) distant ties to allomantic bloodlines. -
I made this and this thread seemed to be the best place to put it, so here we are: "Do You Want to Forge the Emperor?" *Disclaimer: I used the pronunciation of Shai that rhymed with "bye" because I thought it sounded better.

Way of Kings

Granted, slightly different from your question, since you specifically asked about a Kandra with 2 blessings (4 spikes), but still, there you go. I suspect that you could not create two Kandra out of one in this way- the Kandra may have 4 spikes but it still only has one soul that those spikes are connected to. When you bisect the Kandra its soul has to end up in one half or the other. Thank you! This is really helpful.

An orchestra is preparing for a big show, when suddenly the conductor suffers a horrible accident. Rather than cancel the show, a one of the musicians is chosen to work in his stead. The show is a fantastic success, so much so, that the orchestra lets the musician conduct for the next 3 shows, as the conductor recovers. Each of these shows are even bigger successes then the one before them. Finally after 3 weeks, the conductor recovers, and resumes his duties for the next show. However, when the musician returns to his seat for the show, his stand partner is surprised to see him. "Hey man." he asks. "Where have you been for the past 3 weeks?"

Rate the Signature Above You!!
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Silverblade5's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I'm impressed by how you've been able to fit so much stuff in a relative small amount of space. Reads well, has interesting theories and I like a good rant about waffles. 9/10 -
I saw this thread title and thought "Really? Well this could be interesting". I'm not sure whether to be disappointed or amused. Oh well. I take comfort in the fact that by posting I am continuing the cycle of raised hopes and shattered dreams. Sanderson hates him! Find out how this sharder avoids RAFOs. Hoid's top 10 favorite places in the Cosmere; #3 may surprise you! Shshshsh returns! You won't believe what she does next!

How do you pronounce Shai? Would it rhyme with hay or bye?

Testing Mistborn Chess 2.0
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Faceless Mist-Wraith's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Thank you for the feedback! I was really unsure about the rule when I came up with it, since I want to limit the number of things people have to remember, such as whether this piece has an ability, but I was also unsure if keeping promotion limited would be better. I will try both your suggestion and the current rule once I get the chance to sit down for a game. -
You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Faceless Mist-Wraith replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you sit back and realize that if the Cosmere and Reckonerverse (Reckonverse?) weren't fictional, you would probably be in a great deal of legal trouble for all of the theorizing you've done on "How to kill ________" threads.
