  1. We see in Secret History that Kelsier's more Connected to Ruin despite being an allomancer which involves Connection to Preservation. Selish magics may involve different levels of Connection.
  2. We do not. We know what qualities they look for in humans but not what they represent, unfortunately.
  3. That's the mechanic on which healing typically works. It's based on the Spiritual but the Cognitive can interfere, like how Kaladin's slave brands haven't healed.
  4. Cohesion allows a user to trap their opponent in place by liquefying the ground, Tension can turn things like cloth into swords, Progression could be used in a natural environment to turn plant life against an enemy or enemies (or perhaps carrying seeds with them). Division straight up burns things (including people)
  5. *raises hand* I'm guessing a technique in Awakening-fu involves getting close to use an opponent and using their own clothing against them.
  6. More specific details from a WoB but they were first mentioned by Dilaf when fighting Raoden in Teod. He says that the skaze were right about it being possible to kill Elantrians.
  7. He was. Hence the "using unholy tools for a holy goal"
  8. Resonances are the result of two powers (potentially more than two but definitely two) interacting which means all twinborn would have to have one. I think it's fair to assume a resonance is separate to the powers rather than a direct product. I mean it is a product of them interacting but it's not 1+1=2, so to speak (please know what I mean)
  9. Preservation wasn't Splintered, Ruin was attempting to but Kelsier was able to take up the power and prevent it from happening. Brandon's alluded to the "anti-Adonalsium" being the 16 that orchestrated the Shattering There are other WoBs on this subject and a fair few involve Brandon saying he'd count as a group of people as a force, this isn't outright confirmation though. So if that's what you're wanting I have nothing.
  10. Is temperature reflected in the Cognitive Realm? I'm not sure if Khriss could know how warm it is just from observing.
  11. The Stormfather's comment about Dalinar's ability when compared to the Stoneward's is incorrect as said Stoneward was using a Surge Bondsmiths don't access.
  12. What do you mean by perspective?
  13. There's probably not a spike big enough to steal a Shard. As for this approach I'm not sure having all those powers is worth the mental damage and opening yourself up to outside control. It's not just Harmony you'd need to worry about, after all. Not to mention being unable to make it through a metal detector at the airport!
  14. I think Shardworld is almost synonymous with planet since minor Shardworlds are those without Shards (despite the two we've encountered being weird)
  15. Voidbringers based off of the Essences sounds possible. Could be what the Ten Deaths are.
  16. I've always interpreted that WoB differently, that that scenario was unique to a Tenacity-esque Shard and was why the afterlife was funky on Threnody (Ambition being the closest to Tenacity we've seen, in my opinion.)
  17. This is my view as well. Probably requiring a greater number of Breath than a natural fabric but requiring less compared to something that was never alive. Depending on how Awakening influences industry the future of Nalthis natural textiles and fabric might be more popular in the future if compared to Earth (although we still use natural fabrics today so not sure how big of a difference there'd be). An Awakener might just have to be careful in choosing their material, maybe making their own garments.
  18. Ruin and Cultivation don't oppose each other as strongly as Ruin and Preservation. Cultivation is willing to destroy, to prune, to burn in the name of growth. Just think of how much one removes in gardening. Preservation on the other hand is about keeping things the same forever while Ruin is accelerating that natural decline.
  19. A Shard is just power, if a Cognitive Shadow forms then it's from the Vessel.
  20. The Stormfather was only the spren of the highstorms before Honor's death when he got Tanavast's Cognitive Shadow. How the Nightwatcher came to be as she is is currently an unknown but there's definitely a connection to Cultivation.
  21. Lift is important so perhaps she's Cultivation's champion.
  22. An insane Vessel doesn't sound too good...

I've checked on Coppermind and it seems there aren't any known root Aons for it.
