  1. While it doesn't look healthy compared to how Shallan was when we first met her this is definitely an improvement on Oathbringer. They're in a stable balance between the three.
  2. This is suspiciously quiet. It's nice to have a translated term for the Fused as well as solid confirmation on there being nine types. Worrying that Navani's slipping into a similar pattern to how she was with Gavilar, in regards to being with Dalinar. Edit: obligatory mention of adorable Oroden
  3. Can't recall if it's said in book but there is certainly a WoB on the subject
  4. IIRC we get an indirect mention of geese from Rock's viewpoint, Horneater arrows are fletched with goose feathers.
  5. The WoB in question.
  6. I don't have much to add in regards to military comparisons but one thing to keep in mind for these situations is the differences in gravity across the different Cosmere worlds. Any invasion of Sel would have to deal with the higher gravity (that sounds wrong, would greater be the better adjective?), for example.
  7. At a certain point things just are the way they are.
  8. Logicspren look like little stormclouds so they weren't that, but that's assuming they were spren. One theory is that she was dismissing her Shardplate. Those spren also show up in the Herald portraits for the matching Heralds.
  9. Timbre is a Reacher, also called lightspren. We meet some in the Cognitive Realm when the gang takes a trip on their ship (they look like metallic bronze people)
  10. Hemalurgy doesn't have to work in ways Ruin would want though.
  11. Just make sure you kill enough of the same hive/swarm, fire's probably a good idea.
  12. Which could result in a Cognitive anomaly
  13. I'm kind of surprised this was only brought up once. Hemalurgy might have wonderful outcomes for society but ultimately you'd be causing a decline in the mental stability of whoever receives a spike even without an eldritch horror invading your mind.
  14. Cracks in the spiritweb don't really require any trauma, it's more about emotional extremes. If you've read Mistborn
  15. I also don't think it will work that way however it is true that a crack is required. The person being "broken" just isn't.
  16. Nergaoul would have to be present for someone to experience the Thrill as that is the AoE ability.
  17. The type of spren that Truthwatchers bond is, sadly, not yet known. At one point lightspren was used as a filler name but since that's another name for Reachers it's not a good choice anymore. We're due to get info on Orders with the next book so hopefully we'll find out then.
  18. That'd be Jezrien. Tanavast is the (former) Vessel of Honor.
  19. Considering soulcasting works by targeting the cognitive aspect of something, typically by finding it within the Cognitive Realm, it seems unlikely that aiming in the Physical Realm would be required.
  20. Unless they're tapping/burning at the time it doesn't really matter. Without using metals an allomancer or feruchemist is about as Invested as a regular person.
  21. Atium only helps you kill if you have a weapon, atium alone simply allows you to survive. As for assassins vs soldiers it likely has something to do with this: There are other WoBs like this such as Vin vs Kaladin or Kelsier vs Kaladin and while Brandon's said it ultimately depends on the situation and Radiant Order (when asked about mistborn v Radiant) it often comes down to "Kaladin has more power on the battlefield, Vin/Kelsier would win if they kill him in his sleep"
  22. Not luck exactly. Fortune is more inline with futuresight and similar things, atium works by Fortune to give an example. Not that it would make it any easier to take a fullborn on but it allows for a different avenue of attack without worrying about reality warping around you to benefit your opponent.
  23. I just occurred to me that Shardblades have only been treated as the default giant sword form in these scenarios. What's to stop a Radiant under fire from summoning a large shield? Or any other object to aid them, the shapeshifting aspect of Shardblades provides a great deal of control over reach and distance.
  24. Considering how the metallic arts are low Investiture magics I don't see why pushing on embedded spikes would compare to pushing on something like a Shardblade. The Bands aren't at the level of Investiture to be considered a Shardblade, although they're close, and they can't even be perceived with allomancy. A duraluminium push isn't going to solve all of your problems by any means. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't anchoring a bubble to yourself require savantism?
  25. In regards to that Death Rattle keep in mind that the Kholin glyphs form a tower and crown so perhaps not referring to Honor. It could simply be that Kaladin has some weight or presence to him that the Stormfather can sense and so refers to him in a special way. None of the other characters are literal children of Honor after all.
