  1. I agree completely with the second point, it took me as too excited and just felt off. Lopen's general playstyle has felt a little different this game. This could be total speculation, but perhaps drawing more attention to himself with the goal of being scanned? It could fit with your pendant theory. I agree with the point about Len too, he never explained in the original post what he meant, just "how do you feel about this." If you hadn't posted in response it would likely have left me slightly suspicious of Elenion. Especially right now when we don't have many targets or much discussion that could be enough to make the difference. I don't [I use really dirty language and should be ashamed of myself] the joke against him. Can't refer to stuff that happened day 1, I've only really skimmed it.
  2. Soren Porfiry was a very intelligent man. Hs intelligence, unfortunately, often led to more thinking than doing, which would be fine if he wasn't the deputy chief scribe of the court. It all began as the youngest son of a minor noble, which allowed him to get an education. Despite his extraordinary laziness, often resulting in assignments being written mere hours before they were due, he scored excellently on test after test. His teachers soon recommended him to the court due to his excellent writing skills. The court system was designed on merit, the goal being to give the highest positions to those of the most skill. Porfiry soon found it was far easy to take and pass the tests to rise in the ranks than it was to actually do the work. After taking a couple weeks "getting used to" the new job, he simply took the next test and started the process all over again. He never had really to ask what the position he was moving to or from was, after all, that would only force him to actually do work. As long as he was being paid to take tests life was good. Then the day came when he ran out of tests to take. Having risen all the way to the second of the top of the administrative ladder would have made many jealous, but it just made Porfiry scared. Now he'd actually have to do work. Looking around his small office, mountains of papers had built up over the passing days as he'd moped over his misfortune. He sighed a deep sigh. His excuses would only last him until morning, in which case he would be out of a job and banned from future civil service. The thought of menial labor was terrifying enough to overcome even his deep-rooted desire to do absolutely nothing. 125 tax documents to be filed. 43 letters to write. 45 court statements to be reviewed. 278 documents to review. 67 copies to be made. All of these to be filed and organized. It was going to be a late night.
  3. Ignore this post, accidentally copied and pasted original when I was trying to edit.
  4. Presuming Devotary of Spontaneity was correct, we are at 12. (he claimed his vote was the eight)
  5. Araris. Nice work Aman! Still haven't read all of the posts from the night and day yet, so I'll post a suspicion list before the end of the cycle.
  6. I'm not sure, I've always found Araris hard to read, so I can't say I find it more than mildly suspicious. Sure, something to keep in mind, but not really something that makes me suspicious of him, even if Araris is evil. Based on the information we have it seems pretty clear that Araris is evil. I'm not going to lay down a vote until I reread some more, not to mention a quick-bandwagon won't contribute to good discussion. This statement confused me a little bit. Why did Bort dying remove your suspicions of Aman? Also, what motivation did the elim's have for killing Bort? Hmmm, still doesn't respond to the point of why not tell us. I don't think it's probably Aman was sent their by chance though, it's too convenient, either if he is an elim or a village. The logic that no one has come out and said they've poisoned him so thus it was not a village is strong in my opinion, so if it happened it would most likely be an elim. Why would the elim's poison him, especially if that's what he asked for? How long does he stay poisoned? Edit: Poison lasts for two days
  7. Hey, been really busy, finishing a couple of tests and getting over sickness. I'm only starting to look over the thread, probably not going to vote this round. A little bit concerned about Kidpen, seems like they're trying to shift blame off themselves because they know we're going to hit a villager. Would prob's be too obvious though.
  8. I'll join as Soren Porfiry, I'll hold off on the rp until I can reread Elantris.
  9. Great Game Aonar and Joe! I loved the twists and turns. The Whitelegs, Quicksilver, and Wandering eye ensured to make things interesting. (especially not knowing any of that at the beginning of the game :p, really cool dynamic).
  10. This is ridiculous, I love it! I will be playing as Reginald Canuck. I voted for the two cycles. My rule, is that there are items that players can use. These items would be passive, active 1-use, and active permanent. These items could be traded, given, and potentially stolen. Should a person die, these items would be revealed and could be picked up. Now, I would specify some items into existence, but I'm unsure if that would break the bounds of the single rule or the extent to which this single rule extends.
  11. Orlock. Cloudjumper. All humans, today, we retake our homeland! Drive the foolish forest creatures out once and for all! We can do this! I second the motion for a player list. @A Budgie @Metacognition @Burnt Spaghetti. Kill Orlock!
  12. Okay, that's a lot. Gosh darn it, I wish we had pm's right now so we could hash this out. I mean, I don't understand, if you think he's evil, why not lynch him? Can you explain anything more? It's just so dangerous to leave him alive, even for one more night. There can't be many active villagers left, two kills and it could pretty much be over for us. I mean, who else would we lynch that would have a higher probability of being evil?
  13. Accident or purposeful I don't really know the answer too. Either way, it worked. Made him look like a village, and play any other suspicions off to being a new player (ie Jondesu last night). Looking back, I was wondering why no one would have protected DA/put an additional vote on Megasif day 3. The thing is, he was never in any danger. I and Megasif voted for DA, yet when the vote tally came out, it was only me. Megasifs vote was gone, not switched, but canceled somehow. I don't know what ability could do that, but what better reason than to protect a fellow eliminator? Even if DA comes out and claims to have some mysterious vote cancelling power, why didn't he explain it immediately afterwards unless he didn't want to draw attention to it?
  14. After taking some time to think about it, I think we might have been played guys. 1. Eternum has killed two people so far. Both have been village. That's 2/3 nights that we've been playing this game that Eternum has used his kill, both times hurting the village. Now, it's entirely possible that it's an honest mistake. Sure, there's a chance, but it's one heck of a coincidence. 2. Let's talk about that kill today, after he was made medium. If he was a village and was made into medium, he would have a new win con seperate from the village. Eregore, his primary focus would be protecting himself. Even his claim that he would still help the village somewhat yesterday sounds like an excellent excuse to "poke around for eliminator's", or have DA do that dirty work for him. The only reason he would be realling to use that kill would be if he was unafraid of the elim's targeting him. What reason would he have to believe that? 3 He's been very indecisive, often switching back and forth. Take last lynch. He went for three or four different targets, settling on no one. In fact, the last person he decided to lynch and took his vote off was the very person he just elected protector of the forest. He even claimed yesterday that he was basically suspicious of everyone else except DA. Either he's actually very confused and is going on 180 degree flips on little notice, or it's so he doesn't make hard reads that might set off peoples alarm bells and get him targeted as an elim. 4. He chose DA as his protector. The very person, as I just noted, who he was voting on early in the previous cycle. Also, DA is the person who I am currently most suspicious about. I mean, come on. Jack Sparrow memes? Obvious tell :p. But seriously. If there's even a chance I'm right, this should be terrifying. 1 elim kill, 1 from eternum, and 1 from DA could end this game tonight unless we stop them. If we kill Eternum, it will strip DA of his protector role and stop Eternum's kills. I know this a little bit of a turnaround since I pushed for Eternum, but the alarm bells started ringing too late. Also, I want to take a look into yesterdays lynch. I thought DA was at 2 and Megasif at 2, but DA ended at 1. That means someone used an action to remove a vote.
  15. Errrrr. What just happened? Anyone care to explain the second attack, or do we have a second elim kill ability on our hands?
  16. :p, I'd be hopefully trusting eternum to tell the truth in that case.
  17. Okay, that's a little better. Still got my eyes on you though. If you had pm'd the medium and convinced him everyone else was to suspicious and you were the only one who he should trust I would have been very concerned... Not sure what to make of the whitelegs info. *shrug* Nothing about infecting multiple people or something where we should be concerned about conversions/teammates?
  18. Wait, okay. Did they pm you to try and become protector or did you pm them to ask them some questions? Also, anyone familiar with the Whitelegs or any of this stuff from the comic. Is it possible there are more/we should be on the lookout for a third team of sorts? Not really sure how to feel about the lynch, it doesn't help us find elim's really, but better than a villager.
  19. Basically, I concerned that it's a counter-lynch to sif. To be fair, this could also be a counter-lynch of sif. However, the reason I didn't like the lynch by DA, is that there was almost no logic to support it. In fact, the only reason behind it was dissproved. That's really weird. The question then, is if not the reason they claim, why do they want to lynch Araris. One of the reasons I proposed, was that it was to throw suspicion off of someone else. That person would be Megasif. That's an extension of my logic. That's completely conditional on DA being evil in the first place. Thus, I can't say that suspicion is substantiated without learning DA's alignment. Does that make sense? To be fair, the contrapositive is also true. But it makes more sense to lynch the person I have evidence for. Precisely because of the tenuous nature of the connection, that you may or may not agree with, it can hardly be used to lynch the other person in order to find out DA's alignment. That's purely less useful. What point con't you understand in my analysis? If you explain what the point is you're refering to, then I can explain. If not, I can't. Why would I use the argument against DA when that's exactly what I'm doing? It would encourage you to think the exact concern you just had. Then if you try to lynch me I could blame you for trying to lynch me in order to counter-lynch megasif. It's a cyclical argument that doesn't get anywhere. You can't be suspicious against me for using the very argument you're using to establish a connection with the guy I was trying to establish a connection to someone else with if it points suspicion to you in the same manner.
  20. 6 Votes? I think seven is necessary in order to replace doc because you need a "majority" and we have 12 people in thread. Eternum, Dalinar, Cloud, Jondesu, Megasif Araris Someone please tell me if any of those are incorrect.
