  1. You might be interested in this person, then. Nicknamed Hema-Hoid, this individual is also gathering powers.
  2. @Mistborn SurgebinderSurgebinder, (and Quantum), here is a WoB from 2018 that you might like. Full text in spoiler. "Fooling the magic via Connection and Identity is not so hard, under the right circumstances, so making a Forger into an Elantrian (or an Allomancer) for a short time is plausible. Making yourself into a Radiant, however, would be more difficult--because the limitations placed on that magic have to do with persuading a sapient being you are worth the bond." ETA: here is another one that kind of pulls back on the leeway in the first WoB, calling it Possible, but beyond Shai's ability.
  3. Considering the post you quoted was from 6 years ago, they are too.
  4. Spensa is not cosmere, no version of earth is part of the cosmere.
  5. From his updates: That's an ambitious schedule, so we'll see. Fortunately, the schedule for W&W four is not ambitious. If I finish by August, we'll be ahead for like the first time in ten years, giving my team a solid 14 months for editing and the like. (Which will make everyone very happy.) In most of publishing, 24 months is average from turn in to publication. Revisions, designing the cover, proofreading, etc... They take time. In the past, because my books are so successful for the publisher, they've pushed hard to shrink that timeframe. But it's been really hard on my team, as there's so much to do. I've wanted for a long time to start getting back on a more normal schedule. Maybe not 24 months, but closer to 14 or 16. This will relieve a lot of pressure on the revisions, and make it feel less like my team is needing to work break-neck to get things done.
  6. Perpendicularity is a real word, it means the state of being perpendicular. As in, the hands of a clock are in perpendicularity at exactly 3 and 9 o'clock. It is also used in engineering/design as a type of tolerance. For example, the perpendicularity tolerance of the corner join on this cake form is half a degree.
  7. Hey, @Spren of Kindness, when you ask people to hide things, it is better to @ them, rather than quote their post, because your post still contains the spoiler you asked someone else to hide.
  8. Threnody's new ad campaign is pretty slick.

  10. Does it need a spoiler box for the last panel? ETA: specifically, RoW?
  11. Is he particularly rude and british?
  12. Also, by way of clarification, Eshonai is completely dead. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/116/#e8854 ETA: source from Pre-RoW.
  13. It wouldn't work. Electrum shows you your possible future, gold shows you possible pasts.
  14. @Oltux72, Here is "about 50 light years across" from 2016, https://wob.coppermind.net/events/59/#e725 Here is "a cluster instead of a dwarf galaxy" and "only dealing with 50 to 100 stars" from 2018, https://wob.coppermind.net/events/324/#e9284
  15. Yeah, make sure you cite the site you sighted the memes on, otherwise you look like an internet parasite.
  16. @Chinkoln, Did you see his youtube update? https://youtu.be/DiZdjaIhyWI
  17. Here is the only WoB I could find. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/173/#e8337
  18. And cadmium, the god metal of chull-hats.
  19. The fact that Hoid has a cryptic is not a spoiler as that is revealed in Ob's epilogue. Any further information (such as a name) is a spoiler.
  20. Yeah. Even if I don't post anything, I'm on here a few times a week, lurking. Especially this past year; I work at an assisted living facility, so this community is where I can stop stressing about whether a stray cough means the someone who has been ignored I am listening to is going to die. "I will remember those who have been forgotten" has never hit harder for me, and this group of people keeps me going.
  21. Rule 69: I am seizing it in order to render it harmless.
  22. @Telantes Here: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/448/#e14408
  23. Brandon has several unpublished novels that are pretty good. White Sand prose, Aether of Night, and Dragonsteel are all publicly available. They weren't good enough to get published, but they are still good reads.
  24. I see them as Hawaiian or pacific islander like the rock, or jason momoa. They seem to be using a limited alphabet, and the long names using apostrophes are very similar. Queen Liliʻuokalani sounds like Rock's cousin.
  25. Investiture, if left alone long enough, will gain sentience on its own; similar to if matter is left alone long enough under the right conditions, it will form a black hole. Adonalsium could have been the natural accumulation of investiture after the big bang analogous to the black hole at the center of the galaxy.
