  1. So, just to be clear, Stick died, and the only way someone can die during day 1 is from Hoid's Stick-murdering shtick. All normal vig and faction kills are night only. That means that Hoid tried to use an ability on Elbereth. Seonid, if Hoid secret-voted for Elbereth, would that have triggered the Stick shtick? If not, then as others said, it had to be the redirect. How does Aman have three votes from two people? Wouldn't a redirected vote, from like Hoid or Cultivation (or Cultivation's investee, which can't exist on day 1 - I think those three are the only vote redirects?) show up as if the person had voted for their redirected choice? Since Hoid trying to redirect Ms. Stick would change into a Kill action, Hoid couldn't redirect a vote AND kill Stick. Hmm, unless Secret Voting counts for the Stick kill. Oh, that said, the invisible vote could be a secret vote from Hoid. Seems an odd place to spend one of his (her?) three actions though... I'd expect Scan, Protect, and Healing to be more useful this early, unless he/she was trying to protect a 17th Sharder from a lynch (which clearly didn't happen here). EDIT: Oh, and if the 3 on Aman is correct as Hoid's secret vote, doesn't that mean everyone whose votes showed up can't be Hoid? If that's true, the Secret Vote power is really dangerous to use, especially this early. EDIT2: If the above edit is true, then that narrows Hoid's identity down to only nine suspects. Fourteen people voted publicly and two died, out of twenty-five total, leaving nine left.
  2. So, what I'm trying to work through is why one of the Ghostbloods redirected Mark's T2 action and not his T1A action. The action was redirected to Zas. I can see three possibilities that make Zas have to be Noble, and one that would make him (and probably Wilson too) Ghostblood. I had been saying that I didn't think Zas was Ghostblood, but that was before I thought about what Wilson was saying and what she did. If Wilson hadn't realized that item transfers can't be redirected due to order of actions, then it makes sense for her to use the lie that her item transfer was redirected. If the Ghostbloods hadn't realized that item transfers were immune to redirects, then it makes sense for them to target one of Mark's actions, specifically the T2 one. Why T2? Because if Mark used his blade to attack, they didn't want to accidentally redirect an attack to the person they wanted to steal the Blade. If Mark had a defensive item, he would want to leave T1D open because it had to be for Half-Shards or Shardplate to protect you. T2 is the obvious choice for an attempt at redirecting a Shardblade transfer. If this is true, then both Zas and Wilson would likely be eliminators. This is honestly the most likely situation in my eyes, but I've been wrong many times before (and right a few too). Edit: the other three possibilities are: The Ghostbloods meant to redirect Mark's T1A action, but forgot to specify, resulting in a random action being redirected. The next possibility is that they were hoping to redirect a Pain Knife to Zas. Then there's the chance they were trying to redirect an Emotion Bracelet hoping confuse us and hide from being caught in the act. All three of those would make Zas be Noble.
  3. There could be two eliminators left. Actually, there probably are. Possibilities include Wilson+Zas, Sheep+Alvron, Burnt+Sheep, Burnt+Alvron, Macen+Sheep/Alvron/Burnt. (I got lazy at the end there.) I could see Wilson with Sheep out Alvron. I really don't think Kynedath is evil. I know Stink, Twei, and Mark aren't. I need to look back and check something with Twei, but I dunno if there's enough time left to sort through everything...
  4. Gah, sorry, I said I'd vote, and then company arrived earlier than I had expected, before I finished catching up here. (... And we spent much of the visit talking about Cosmere theories and WoBs because we're all total Sanderfan geeks.) I don't think Aman is an eliminator based on what I've seen so far. Yes, he's getting very defensive, but you're all getting very aggressive at him over what feels to me like not terribly much. That said, I don't like the idea of people using analyses from private PMs/docs of currently running games. If not everyone has access to it and it isn't part of the game in question, it is not fair game in my opinion. Can we get a vote really, by the way?
  5. I always participate less on weekends. Both harder to read and harder to post when using my phone nearly exclusively, and there's baby Shallan to juggle, company and other weekend plans, and cleaning to do. At work, it's easy to post between tasks and while waiting for responses to emails, and after work when decompressing from being in the office. My wife (understandably) expects a lot more help from me around the house when I'm home all day. I'm also posting more in the World PM for my world than here. Having such a small group of people there is really useful. That said, I'd like to reiterate that I think voting is important in these games, even random votes. Sure, informed ones are better, even only slightly informed ones, but random is better than not voting. I'll vote in a bit - having trouble juggling the "player list" and the "stuff people said here" tabs on my phone.
  6. The woman caught the dagger she had been juggling and pointed it directly at Valan Quivar. Lowering her flute, she considered him a moment. "Hold on, I know you," she said. "You're a highprince, right? Jah Keved, I believe?" She stood up and bowed. "Not my homeland, really, but the place ain't so bad. Good wine there, 'specially the purple stuff." She stretched, yawning. "You're alright, sorry 'bout the misunderstanding," she said. "I heard them 17th Sharders have something nasty planned. Got any leads?"
  7. Sorry to hear about the panic attack I have an anxiety disorder and totally understand how debilitating those can be. My statements and vote still stand. You've been acting super fishy for a while, and the only reason I didn't distrust you more earlier was because of DC. I'll be super surprised if you turn out to be a Noble and you think I'm sketchy still despite me catching Lopen, successfully protecting someone from the Ghostbloods, being attacked by the Ghostbloods again, and giving you a Shardblade. Any one of even two of those things, sure. I freely admit I'd try to pull them off add an eliminator. But that many? I'd be the worst eliminator ever to help the Town that much. Edit: and to say it to you again since you seem to have missed it the first time, Maill did nothing wrong and I never said he did. He did the exact right thing in that situation. Mistakes happen. I said I cleared Burnt before I realized she had been rerolled. I'm annoyed by the situation, but I'm not annoyed at anyone about it.
  8. A woman with coppery skin and part of her hair in a pair of braids played a few notes on her flute. She considered a moment, then played a few more. "Hmm," she said, lost in thought. "What to play..." Suddenly, she snapped her head up, scanning the crowd. "You!" she said, pointing at a figure sitting in the shadows. "Your name is Unnamed Character 6," she said, lowering the flute she held in her gloved hand. "That name is uninspired. Unacceptable!" She slammed her hand down on the table to accentuate her declaration. "You will change it to something more respectable," she continued, her face turning upward in a broad grin. "Or die!" With a flick of her wrist, she threw a dagger that had been hidden in the sleeve of her ungloved hand into the air, then caught it. She continued juggling the dagger with one hand as she raised the flute to her lips with her other hand and began to play a haunting melody.
  9. The fact that I was attacked and not Twei supports Wilson being Ghostblood. She knew I hadn't transferred the only Painrial we had access to the prior night for sure, and probably thought that I didn't move it last night either since I didn't talk about it in the group PM with her. Also, she kept insisting that she "knew" Stink had to be a thief and we shouldn't trust him even though I had protected him successfully from a Ghostblood attack. She also argued that it could have been a WGG, especially since we were sure for a while DC was Ghostblood and DC knew I could and would defend Stink that turn. To be fair though, Wilson did too, but her insistence that Stink was a thief makes me think that if Wilson is Ghostblood, Stink is legit. I had been sure earlier that she was Ghostblood, but I was also sure she and DC wouldn't both be Ghostblood, so when I realized DC blatantly lied to me repeatedly in ways that helped the Ghostbloods, I changed to fully trusting Wilson. That's why I gave her that Shardblade and why I was so upset to find out that DC was just trolling me. Wilson also stopped trying to plan with us last night, which makes sense since she was planning to ignore the plan anyway. The only part we had told her was that she should give me her Shardblade so the Ghostblood Soulcasters couldn't redirect it. (Edit: she did give an out of game reason for lower activity, but the same had been true earlier and she still managed to do plenty of planning then) EDIT: Anyone know if Wilson's Shardplate has regenerated yet from the attack a while back? I know this won't kill her, but we need to start attacking sometime... Taking three lynches to kill someone is really a lot. EDIT2: Oh, and here's how I currently feel about everyone: Definitely Noble Nyali Twei Mark Extremely Likely Noble Burnt Stink Very Likely Noble Zas Likely Noble Kynedath Macen Unsure Alvron Sheep Extremely Likely Ghostblood Wilson (Did I miss anyone?)
  10. My view on the Diagram is that the diagram foretells the future, and we keep getting told that foretelling the future is of him.
  11. I meant why didn't he vote during the day. The lack of Nobles voting is really worrying me. It means that the Ghostbloods are controlling the vote. There's no way we should be able to lynch a Ghostblood with less than four votes. With only five people voting out of thirteen, this really feels to me like a problem. We can't win if we don't kill. They'll just pick us off one by one. The Shardblades can't even be relied upon because of redirects (the Ghostbloods have two Soulcasters now). The lack of voting makes it feel like people are just giving up. =\
