  1. Granted. Your bane is that a psychotic Soother, with the help of a Nicroburst, has taken control of you through the many Hemalurgic spikes you are pierced with, puppeting you for their amusement. I wish to be a Zinc Compounder.
  2. If lighteyes and darkeyes are typically separate classes of people within the world of Roshar, with the ranks of nahn and the benefits to each rank inherently being inferior to the lighteyes' dahn, where do people with heterochromia fit? Say, if someone has a light blue eye and a dark brown eye, would they be considered a darkeyes or lighteyes, or would they occupy their own sort of position?
  3. Granted. Your bane is that there is no bane for the person to get. I wish to become an iron/steel Twinborn.
  4. Granted. Your bane is that you are now Hoid, without his cleverness and immortality. I wish to be a gold compounder.
  5. Granted, but without Stormlight to fuel them, as you're on Earth, you cannot access the Surges in order to use them. I wish for Duralumin Feruchemy.
  6. Granted. She marries Galladon. I wish to be a Full Feruchemist
  7. Granted, but it extends past just your username, as well as past this forum. Whenever people read the word "Apollyon", even if they do not know you, they gain knowledge of your IRL existence and are reminded of you. I wish I had the ability to steelpush, and ironpull, without having to burn metal.
  8. ...Okay...this thread has discussed murdering and mind-controlling magical beavers, as well as a temporary dive into the topic of embryos...we have crossed the boundary into "OH GOD NO" levels of theorizing.
  9. Allomantic Electrum and Feruchemical Zinc: Precognition. That would be REALLY useful.
  10. Connection is stored in Duralumin, not Empathy, although the two attributes might seem similar, they have a lot of differing applications, such as Connection being able to, by changing your Connection to a place, translate languages, limited to the native language of the land you are in at the time. I personally believe that the Chimera's attributes were from animals, such as Dogs or Wolves, considering their physiology and probable mental state based on their actions. Hmm...what would happen if you used animal traits in Hemalurgy? Can you even use animal attributes? What would happen if you spiked an animal, such as a dog or horse, with a charged spike?
  11. ...I think an Allomantic Computer would genuinely be plausible. Copper Feruchemy for storage, Allomantic Iron and Steel to be used instead of the 1's and 0's of binary (Maybe there'd be a part which uses sliding sections, with a Harmonium core, which could use retracted sliders for 0's and extended ones for 1's, with the arrangement read in a similar fashion to binary code.), Allomantic Nicrosil to overclock it, Zinc Feruchemy for faster processing...etc. Also, I want to see Allomantic Propulsion Systems. Because I am imagining it like the Omnidirectional Movement Gear from Attack On Titan. And because it'd be really cool.
  12. Actually, if you tapped enough Health... But I will still upvote this...just for that.
  13. Tapping Weight increases Strength proportionally, so that the extra Weight can be handled without you being crushed. So, it doesn't work the way you think. Sorry.
  14. I was browsing the forums, when a few things in the Mistborn Forum caught my eye, and made me start thinking about how Ettmetal, and by extension, Allomancy and Feruchemy, could be used in machinery. Personal Flight Vehicles, Emotional Allomancy Non-Lethal Suppression Weaponry for police, the possibilities are basically endless. Anyone else have any ideas?
  15. Upvote for those two things alone...I rusting love puns, even horrible ones, and that song/chant is hilarious.
  16. Ettmetal's Allomancy usage isn't Hemalurgy. I do not know what mechanism allows Ettmetal to be "primed" with Allomancy and Feruchemy, but it isn't Hemalurgy. Although...that does give me a few questions about how Ettmetal could potentially be utilized in machinery...
  17. For school sports such as swimming, wrestling, track, etc., metalminds (Zinc, all of the physical ones, including Gold and Cadmium, and Chromium mostly, although others might be confiscated if someone managed to use them to cheat before.) would be confiscated, and there'd probably be a Leecher who drains any Allomancers. On the academic side of things, Mental Metalminds (Excluding Brass and including Electrum, because Brandon's un-retconnable mistake complicated things a bit.) would probably be allowed for minor assignments and tests, but confiscated for major tests...or not, as they would probably be viewed as perfectly okay. Aside from that...I personally think that a Steel/Zinc combination would be awesome for a messenger or freerunner (freeflier?), as they'd be able to calculate proper trajectory, speed, velocity, torque, etc., to fly through the air extremely quickly and efficiently. And I have an idea in my head for a kind of piano, with a lot of metal keys, with individual keyboards spread in a spherical arrangement, which someone could play with the use of Steelpushes. Steel/Tin pianists, anyone?
  18. Granted, but the power and effect of your ability will fluctuate from barely being able to lift a paperclip to flattening buildings. I wish for the ability to create ANYTHING.
  19. Granted, but you can NOT tap, only store Determination. I wish to have both Steel and Iron Allomancy naturally.
  20. I'd say, aside from Compounding, an extremely powerful Twinborn would be someone with Feruchemical Nicrosil and Allomantic Steel. They could get a sizable amount of Investiture stored up via burning Steel and funneling the Investiture into metalminds, which means their power is as deep as their pockets. Once they have enough Steel-Investiture to, say, accelerate a coin to about 3 times the speed of sound, they walk into a bank, pull out a coin, and aim at a bank teller's head. All that is seen is a line of light punching through the stone and metal of the building, the aforementioned bank teller completely painting the walls with gore, as the sonic boom from the coin's acceleration incapacitates anyone who would have resisted. Then they simply grab all of the money and Steelpush away. What are the police going to do against a human railgun?
  21. ...That sounds amazing. Like soccer, volleyball, and Quidditch rolled into one sport.
  22. ...how would that work? It seems like Legend of Korra gets referenced a lot when talking about the world of Scadrial. I understand that, it being similar, with the world gradually being shaped around a type of magic, and I see how a lot of ideas would work...but how would a competitive sport like this actually work?
  23. Upvote for the bad pun.
  24. I just realized how useful certain Feruchemical abilities would be. With Cadmium, you could not have to breathe for short periods of time, which is useful underwater, in toxic gasses, etc. But, you could also highly oxygenate your blood, allowing you to do things like sprint for extended periods of time and sprint faster. Anyone heard of blood doping? It is banned in most, if not all, sporting events, and it is...artificially introducing extra oxygen to the bloodstream in order to improve performance. Sound familiar? With Duralumin, you could quickly make relationships by tapping, as well as reduce awareness of you by storing so that people are less likely to notice you, and even speak the language of the land you are currently in. There are a million other ideas flashing through my mind, but I won't list them here, because I don't want this to be an EXTREMELY long post to read. I have some other ideas for applications of most of the others which are unorthodox but plausible, but, as stated before, I will not put them here, as I do not want the people who read this to die of old age before finishing. Does anyone else have any ideas for possible ways Feruchemical abilities, or any of the Metallic Arts, could be used?
  25. Electrum is honestly amazing. If you could practice at differentiating and separating the Electrum Shadows into actual detectable paths rather than a whirling mass of incomprehensible images, you basically have limited precognition. Which would be VERY useful. You could never be surprised, you could avoid bullets before someone shoots, and there are a million other applications.
