  1. I’m with this, by with one difference. I don’t think it has anything to do with Valley, I just think that the Nightwatcher decided to take back what she’d done. The Nightwatcher does whatever she wants, and we don’t fully understand her. I mean, look at what she’s done to Mr T!
  2. In Ori and the Blind Forest: The bird is a vessel of a Destruction Shard. When Ori uses the feather, he channels the birds investiture. Enemies channel investiture from the bird, and when Ori bashes, he uses their investiture. The Tree is a Creation Shard.
  3. Reading each book is like doing a math puzzle, but mixed in are people who I want to be friends with. It’s like an extra fun puzzle.
  4. This is a bit of a stretch, but it’s possible that Dominion’s vessel was close with Ambition’s vessel before the Shattering. If that’s the case, they could be interacting via the SR. Maybe Ambition influenced Shu-Dereth.
  5. I am in total agreement with the whole Purity-planet-is-a-Shard thing. I mean, it’s bigger than its own sun! That said, if Purity is indeed a Shard with its own planet, it’s unlikely it will allow life to exist on its planet and so there probably won’t be a book taking place there. I think that this Purity Shard won’t have a large role in the greater Cosmere.
  6. It didn’t do much... Harms?
  7. It was the stick. Actually though, it was probably because it was really sharp. Gemel wanted to kill somebody with it, and thought that he could use the spines to stab somebody. He was really insane.
  8. When you are at the Tamar music festival at Masada at around 1:30 am, and suddenly get an alarm on your phone saying that Oathbringer chapters are released. And immediately go to your car and read them.
  9. So I’m getting these chapters late in the evening because of my time zone. I was at the Tamar music festival near Masada () when I realized they were out. So I started reading in the middle of a concert. This one singer, Eden Ben Zaken, came out right at the moment where Navani walked in. Now whenever I read about Navani I will picture an Israeli singer singing “Yacha Bibi Ealai” Strangest headcannon of all time.
  10. I don’t think so. Einstein’s equations in our universe always work, but in the Cosmere they only apply to the physical realm, I would think. Since investiture only exists in the Spiritual realm with the shards, I don’t think that applies.
  11. I think it was Renarin who healed him. He has progression, and might have unintentionally used on Dalinar kind of like how Kaladin used his Suges on bridge 4 without knowing.
  12. Rial could be a Dysian, but not Sebrial. I feel like if he didn’t sleep, we would have figured that out. Haven’t we seen him sleep?
  13. My apologies! You know much more about this sort of stuff than me!
  14. A gerbil seer. It know exactly where the carrot will be in the future!
  15. Hair is made of keratin, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keratin, and Kandra are not. Kandra can make organs since organs are made of proteins, fats, and other sorts of thinks. The point here is, they are soft. Keratin is a hard substance, and since Kandra are blobs, it is probably every difficult. Kandra actually can grow hair, it just takes forever and so they like to store it so they don't need to regrew it. TenSoon didn't need to eat hair when he grew his fur, it just took a while to turn his blobs into keratin-like proteins.
  16. I completely agree that Kal would support Adolin now! He would do something very similar to what you described. I'm just wondering if the future Kaladin, who is more entrenched with the Radiant ideals, would feel the same way. But as you said, we shall see...
  17. @eveorjoy I'm not so sure. The second ideal is to protect even his enemies, and if Kal has gotten over his burning-hatred-at-enemies phase, he might force himself to act angry. It won't be genuine, but he might turn him in, just the same.
  18. And mighty princes poop in their armor in the heat of battle...
  19. If you like DND, you may like the RP games we have here. Total agreement about Kvothe and Kal!
  20. Welcome to the Shard! Prepare to spend the rest of your life here!
  21. When Eshaonai first went into storm form, she didn't instantly go insane. She was intense, but still capable of talking to the Five, thinking calmly, etc. It could be that they are in stormform but still calm.
  22. I feel that we are in the same place in SA as we were when TWA first came out. We have 2/10 books read, (2.5 with Edgedancer) and there we had 2/9. Think about how much we knew about the metallic arts versus what we know now. We have a very long way to go, and LOTS to figure out about surgebinding. That said, surgebinding for sure. I really love Elsecaller powers.
  23. I believe they all have nicrosil on the inside. I don't have the book on me right now so I can't give you the page number.
  24. Yeah, the sad part is, most of my Cosmere friends say they are going to get it some time this week. We haven't even come close to starting. @Canton of Finance The Southern Scadrial coins are described in The Bands of Mourning. A copper/nicrosil one is on pages 184-185. The most common are nicrosil/brass, or nicrosil/duralumin.
