You cannot link an image. However, you can link text (you probably know how to do that) Edit: guess I was wrong!

The WoB Archive, Arcanum, is Here November 8th
Farnsworth replied to Chaos's topic in Arcanum Discussion
How would one submit a WOB that Brandon wrote on a signed book that was delivered? I could take a picture of the page, but I have no way to verify what the question was. I’m confident I remember the question, but if people were to just report the questions from memory, I’m worried things might get innacurate quickly. -
I thought that was Szeth. Szeth only got his Skybreaker powers from the Honorblade. Nale is a Herald though, so I thought he could access the powers directly.
-
Why would Nale not have his guilt sense? Wouldn’t a Skybreaker always have that sense? Another idea: maybe he was sensing something other than her Surgebinding abilities. What else could Jasnah have done? OB spoilers

what do I read after the Stormlight Archives?
Farnsworth replied to qhizzle's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Here’s my advice: Warbreaker (for reasons lusted above) Mistborn original 3 (It gives basic Cosmere knowledge) Mistboen era 2 (naturally follows first 3) Elantris (last big one) Arcanum Unbounded then other non-Cosmere stuff, if you want. The order of that doesn’t matter. -
May I direct you to This regarding wot joke summaries?

Maybe the three spren of the bob smith are all of similar varieties? Not exactly like the stormfather (there was only one Honor) but similar? Then the unmade that is reverse of the Bondsmith spren is just the reverse of those three.

Feelings on Apocalypse Guard News
Farnsworth replied to Ammanas's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I am a Cosmere purist, so while I understand that Branderson needs to write other stuff to keep him fresh, I hope he concentrates on the Cosmere from now on! -
Why "Midnight Mother" though? I can understand Midnight. At midnight, it's dark and hard to tell who is who. Re-Shephir imitates others, and it's hard to tell who she is. Why "Mother" though? Is it because she is the mother of new personas like Shallan is?

1: Stormlight Archive. TWOK is the best book I have ever read. I love Kaladin more than most non-book people I know. 2: I study lots of science, and sometimes I get really sick of the laws of the universe. The Cosmere is like the world but with better science. 3: Stormlight Archive 4: For sure 10. It's a rare night where I don't have a dream about one of his books. 5: 9

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Farnsworth replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I was telling a friend of my parents that I couldn't go to the play because of Oathbringer, and she said it was the worst excuse ever. I started to tell her about the Cosmere, and she interrupted and said "bored already." She's not coming over again if I have anything to do with it -

Depending on how old these Codes are, it could be a surgebinder. If he gave himself a 1/2 lash upwards, he could float.

Maybe it’s a gemstone carved to hold more Stormlight?

This is more of a Brandon question than a Cosmere one, but it still leaves me confused. Brandon uses many different artists in is books. For covers and such, this makes lots of sense because he's just trying to make nice art. For the cannon in-world drawings though, how does that work? Is it random, or does he choose certain artists as real-world counterparts to Cosmere artists? All Shallan's art is done by Ben McSweeney, so is he the real-world Shallan? Will all Shallan's art be done like that?

I think "by Vedelev's gold/silver alloy keys!" doesn't really have the same ring to it. I'm for a badge of office, kind of like Jezeren's sword. It can certainly be used, but usage isn't really the purpose.

I generally check them out at the library, and then buy the leatherbound, so this wasn't a question I had to consider. Until recently. A friend gave me a copy of tBoM, and I began to read it with the dust cover on. The problem was, everybody who saw them got entirely the wrong idea about the books. I generally love Sanderson artwork, but these dust jackets do look a bit odd. So now I always read them with it off.

They could go really crazy with the colors there. Really bring to life the contrast between the colorless nations and the colorful ones.

I use storms as an insult (storming idiot, storming crazy) but not really an interjection. For those, I generally use rust, or Lord Ruler.

Mystery Project in Sanderson's Status Bar
Farnsworth replied to Exalted's topic in General Brandon Discussion
He said it was a project, not a book, so he could just be building a park bench. With plot twists of course. Or, it's book with the plot written by Sanderson, actually fleshed out into works by Rothfuss, with occasional humor injections from Pratchet. Happiness in rectangular form. -
adonalsium Shattering of Adonalsium = Big Bang
Farnsworth replied to Cosmosis's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Somebody got a WOB on a book of theirs (I think AU) that said "Adonalsium shattered because he was killed." So Adonalsium is a he, I guess. It isn't on Theoryland though, so I can't link it . -
Worst Sanderson Character
Farnsworth replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Yeah, I feel like Zane was written because somebody bet Sanderson that he couldn’t fit a character from a bad YA book into one of his books. -
