I’m not quite sure what you are trying to ask, but maladroitly means “ineffective or bumbling.” I guess if somebody lands maladroitly they fall in a bumbling manner? EDIT: didn’t see the dust cover until just now

Thalyn fields. I’m a huge fan of long, complicated battle scenes. There are some great ones in Lord Foul’s Bane, (awful name, I know) and this one blew them all away. It brought everything together, everybody was there acting badchull, and SO MUCH HAPPENED!

If she was coated in aluminum, maybe, but I don’t think a necklace would do the trick. I think I’m that stage, she was more of a proto-radiant. Although she did have a blade, so there might be something to that. Maybe they did nothing because she was so young?

I have a few reasons to think that dead people’s spiritual aspects are in stone. I like this idea though, so now I’m not sure. The link to the other theory is here

There was so much going on in the battle at the Thalyan fields. So many POVs, so much going on constantly.

Id the lesser spren theory is correct, itwould be interesting to see how the plate views itself. In the CR, is the plate a single object, or many spren touching each other?

It will also be interesting to see how the two compare in a fight. If Szeth fights two-handed, which blade will be more valuable? Which would cut the other?

I think the circles being 10 has importance, as you said, but the swords are just decorative. They aren’t the Honorblades. They are just there because the double eye is Vorin and Vorins love swords.

You could probably attach the gems that make spanreeds move to a knife. Just go to a person’s house, and leave a knife with a gem on it somewhere inconspicuous. Attach the corresponding gem to a stick or something, and wave the stick around madly when you know the other person is home. Of course, if you’re Jasnah, you could just write to them, and that’s the best weapon in all of Roshar.

Do we have it confirmed that a Seeker can detect any form of investiture? On Scadrial, that would mean detecting Feruchemists draining their copperminds. Can they do that?

For sure, Shallan has some issues. They probably are not of Odium though.

I have to say I loved Shallan in this one. I usually don’t like her, but her whole Ghostblood/Veil and her trip through Shadesmar with Vivena was awesome. I guess I tend to judge characters based on how many lore bombs they help create, and in OB, Shallan won that for sure.

I thinks it’s the later. We saw Szeth become mostly sane, and Taln become kind of stable, so maybe Shallash is improving slowly. In regards to Mraize, do you think he might be a member of the Ire? Just a weird thought.

Yeah, I wasn’t a huge fan of the whole triangle thing. To clichèd. I’m pretty glad with how this all turned out in general, but mostly I was glad it didn’t turn into a whole huge thing.

Without a doubt, OB is the best book I’ve ever read. So much happened!!! Any of these moments could have made a great book: 1) The journey though the CR 2) Kaladin’s return to Hearthstone 3) Shallan fighting Re-Shepir 4) Dalinar making a perpendicularity 5) New information on the Nightwatcher 5) Seeing Odium/Passion 6) Szeth’s searing loyalty to Dalinar 7) Lift discussing Dalinar’s butt We just got all seven.
