  1. I liked it... but I BoM is the one I reread for fun. SoS is more serious.
  2. It's an awesome show. And David Xanatos is so much fun. I wish they would do a remake so we could have more than two seasons of Gargoyles. (Third doesn't count; the series creator had nothing to with it and considers it fanfiction.)
  3. This has been my working theory since I first read Secret History. Have an upvote!
  4. His metalminds were also heavily invested, so it would probably take even longer. Same with many Hemalurgic spikes.
  5. It's also worth pointing out that, when viewing the Sovereign's memory, Wax does not experience any remembered pain from the spike.
  6. It's... the anti-hero with a thousand faces? But, actually, none of this is new. Certain archetypes become more prominent at different times than others. If you want to be fair, even before V you have Turin. An outlaw, a rebel, he goes from bad to worse and still stays strong. He's a major figure in lore and prophesy. He takes a young woman under his wing. Of course, she's his sister but he finds this out AFTER they're married and expecting their first. Also dragons, talking swords and making bad guys better people. And it ends badly because it's a tragedy. I love Tolkien, don't you? (The Silmarillion synopsis should be: Every character you come to care about -and every other character too- will die or end badly. And warning stickers: Warning! You will cry!) Turin's tale is drawn from the Kallavela, the finish national epic. The anti-hero/anti-villain is an ancient concept. Try Medea, for one who is usually incomprehensible by today's standards. Or Loki, Prometheus or any other trickster you care to think of. Turin, V and Kell draw from these ancient tales. The archetypes predate them both. So it's really not that odd for you to be finding similarities. Completely off topic, but I've been wondering: If Kelsier, Arvis, Silk, and Xanatos somehow ended up working together... They have certain similarities that both make me both want to see this team up and simultaneously terrified should it ever occur. The discussion is similar characters got me thinking about this. If anyone has an additional member for the team up, feel free to join. But only one per universe. Also, this is the boys' team. Girls team is Shallan, Velvet, Fox and Selina Kyle right now.
  7. It is worth pointing out that - despite what Brandon has said - Kell fails the PCLR, which means he isn't 'technically' a psychopath. He also does not have ASPD. And while Kell enjoys killing and causing pain, it is not only something he controls, the pleasure isn't sexual and he clearly had a happy long term relationship. He also wants to be good, which plays an important role in his personality and self image. All of which makes it very unlikely that he would suddenly start killing people for no purpose. (Now, if the people were enemies of Scadrial...) But that isn't the only issue with the theory. I believe (it's been a while since I looked these up) that there are indications that this Mistborn would be a new one. And Brandon's comments at the end of SH do indicate that Kelsier is on a heroic journey. There is also the fact that Brandon has said that this plot [SWAT team vs Mistborn] is losing prominence, due to W&W being written. None of this actively contradicts the theory, but it does make it unlikely.
  8. It's also possible for it to be the God Metal of a Shard, without the Shard actively having anything to do with it. For example: if I was an allomancer, and somehow managed to get a piece of an honor blade, I could probably burn it. Honor would not actually have to be involved. So Shard A could have arranged for Shard B's metal to enter Scadrial without Shard B actively being involved. This could allow Trellium to be the god Metal of, say, Dominion but Trell actually being, perhaps, Autonomy.
  9. I seem to recall he said that that aspect was diminished, not gone. I also believe I saw something about 1940's being a novella, but I don't where I read that.
  10. Kell could speak to some people by using his personal connection to them. The bigger question is if RUIN is capable of doing so. But Zane does seem to have an unusually strong connection to Ruin. So, maybe?
  11. Your welcome. Glad to help.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if they did test infants, since burning can be instinctual and infants are basically bundles of instincts and reflexes. Maybe the hospital has a Seeker in the maternity ward? "Sign here to agree to have your child tested for allomancy. And here for her first vaccines."
  13. The Eleventh Metal is a novella. I think you mean 'The Lost Metal'? It should be sometime in 2018. Apocalypse Guard is being written first though.
  14. Nazh appears in a broad sheet too. And if we are discussing Worldhoppers showing up: Hoid, Kell, Set's 'Kandra' all appeared as well. There is a theory that Ven Dell is too. Khriss you caught. In an earlier book two world hoppers (who are really 17th Shard admins) got married. Demoux was name dropped. I'm sure there are others I either missed or forgot about.
  15. I'm aware; the premise of the argument was based on Leratium NOT being Harmonium. I'm sorry if it wasn't clear.
  16. I actually think it's a Atium/Lerasium Alloy (Leratium)that could grant Feruchemy by being tapped. Harmonium is not Leratium, so wouldn't necessarily have that ability. It seems to be able to store and fuel allomancy/feruchemy outside of the allomancer. Store, like feruchemy; fuel, like allomancy; it's the Ruin aspect that's tricky, but it does consume the charge. Maybe something is lost when charging, like Hemalurgy? Harmonium also blows up, so Ruin?
  17. I usually remember the ones I've read, but I'm not that good at finding them again. Thanks @Ammanas
  18. Breeze and Alriane had a son, and Breeze retook the name Ladrian. Not to much is known of Ham, but he gets back together with his wife and he has descendants. Spook had a bunch of kids and many descendants. He ruled for 100 years before stepping down. At that point, who knows. Demoux joined the 17th Shard and was last seen on Roshar. Kell and Marsh have been active, but little is known of their current activities. Marsh went South recently, and we know Kell has been involved there. He may also have been involved with some Kollos clans. Dox, Ore Seur, and Clubs are dead. Sazed is Harmony. Hope this helps.
  19. The answer is in the first sentence. Beyond that, just finish the book. It will all make sense. (Except for the stuff that doesn't make sense until you read SH, but you've got a long ways to go before you read that one!)
  20. Berries, maybe? They can be fermented and we call them fruit. Grapes do this too. Though those exact things wouldn't grow.
  21. I do this every time I see the word 'radiant', When you are late, and wish you could tap steel. Or need to be awake and wish for Bronze.
  22. Yes, we can thank Kell for that little revelation. More specifically, you can see the moment when the current path was chosen, if my understanding of that scene is correct.
  23. I concur with the above.
  24. I believe the answer to 'how anyone figured it out' was process of elimination.
  25. Aethers were confirmed to be present too, I believe.
