This the RoW board. Why would people be on here if they haven’t read it?
-
The way you wrote it, you seemed confused about Zahel’s identity. Have you read ALL of Mistborn? Both series and SH? Because I don’t want to spoil things there.
-
Oh, whoops. I took off my glasses, and misread the name, lol!

Are the Ghostbloods an outgrowth of the Set?
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Silverblade5's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Kelsier was Preservation and Preservation was part of the planet. He was literally the entire world. I think the part of him that is a Sliver would never allow him to work toward Scadrial’s destruction. -
The Ruinous Rituals of the Davars
Kingsdaughter613 replied to SOM1else's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I have an easy answer to question 2: the GBs knew the SoH were trying to return the Desolations. When they learned Jasnah was studying Desolations they assumed she was a member. And they REALLY hate the SoH. What did Kalak do you annoy a Kelsier so badly?! -
Unfortunately, we have a WoB that indicates otherwise. And Kell has been seen on North Scadrial supposedly.
-
We’re literally talking about Kelsier running the Ghostbloods here. I think wanings for Era 1 spoilers are a tad redundant, lol! I think we can argue Elend and the entire crew, if we wanted. Or even Kell and Fuzz, in some ways. Elend and Yeden never met though.

What's up with all the Jasnah love?
Kingsdaughter613 replied to HSuperLee's topic in Stormlight Archive
Zakath and Moash are not alike at all, except on very broad lines. But Zakath’s emotionless emptiness was better done, IMO. Moash kind of feels pitiful and desperate to me. Zakath was just... hollow. And it was so sad and so compelling. -
There might be a self defense exception; from Szeth’s perspective T grabbed Nightblood to wield against him.

taravangian development: is it a good or bad thing?
Kingsdaughter613 replied to king of nowhere's topic in Stormlight Archive
Note that Saze is also well aware of what Kell did while barely able to hold the power... and knows what he’s up to now. He also saw what Ruin devised and Preservation’s even longer game. Even a ‘good’ Shard like Preservation got lots of people killed bringing his plan to fruition. Good or Bad, a crafty mind with a Shard’s power is dangerous. -
So who will be Odiums champion
Kingsdaughter613 replied to SzethIsBadAsHell's topic in Stormlight Archive
Kelsier does not want Odium to win. The GBs were actually pretty clear on that. If Odium looks like he’s getting free they will likely side with his enemies to stop him. -
Why does Renarin block Odium future sight
Kingsdaughter613 replied to SzethIsBadAsHell's topic in Stormlight Archive
You mean if Kell hadn’t tricked Ruin, knowing Marsh would take the chance as soon as it was offered. Which Marsh did. Which only occurred because Preservation Preserved Kell so Kell could hold Preservation... -
She’s not dead. She and Shallan are back to being one. Although choosing to remain separate would have been valid too.

Well, Thaidakar is from Scadrial and he’s Mraize’s boss. I take it you haven’t read Mistborn. The GBs are a Cosmere spanning organization, but their earliest known incarnation was Scadrian. Zahel is from Nalthis, where he goes by many names. Azure is from Nalthis, too. You should read Warbreaker...

What's up with all the Jasnah love?
Kingsdaughter613 replied to HSuperLee's topic in Stormlight Archive
So what you’re saying is that she’s a young Polgara the Sorceress? Now I know why I liked her! They even have that same way of ordering object to change! She would get on so well with Jasnah... And Kelsier reminds me of Silk. Huh. ‘Zakath definitely did a better job of emotionless than Moash though. Now, if Brandon could just give us a Leldorin... -
I don’t trust Kalak. Brandon has repeatedly told us that we can’t trust the Heralds. I think he’s up to something. And the fact that he’s so insistent on freeing BAM makes me think doing so will have very, very dangerous repercussions.

Moash Appreciation Thread
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
Kelsier would disagree, being quite comfortable with his immaturity. Villains should be mysterious, enigmatic, charismatic and stylish. And have cool titles that people actually use. -
Shallan is even more cringe than before
Kingsdaughter613 replied to Atlas's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think he may appear near the end, but I suspect his name will be given phonetically if given. And, like you, I’m the opposite. I hate being in Kaladin’s head because I deal with my depression in a very different way and I find being in his head makes my depression worse. People talk about how reading Kal’s viewpoints helped them off the ledge, while I find that reading them can make me somewhat suicidal. I find the way he deals with depression indulgent (for me) and don’t understand or relate to him at all. If I allowed myself to think the way he does I probably would have killed myself. So I don’t allow myself to think that way. I’ve been doing what amounts to CBT on myself since I was a teen, because who ever heard of PMDD in the early 2000s? When the dark thoughts come I make myself think of something else, often by reading. And it is literally dangerous for me to read SA one week out of every four and it is ENTIRELY due to Kaladin. I love Mistborn. Just insert ‘depression’ for the Lord Ruler in Kell’s speech about joy. It’s practically my motto. On the other hand, I totally love and relate to Shallan. I’m an artist, she’s an artist. She’s a geek and I’m a geek. I find the way she’s written fascinating, I love the mysteries and Cosmere goodies in her story, and her sense of wonder is a joy. If I give her a larger page count and cut down Kaladin’s, I’d be very happy. -
Death Rattles & The End of Stormlight
Kingsdaughter613 replied to honorblades's topic in Stormlight Archive
We don’t really know how he feels - or if Dalinar told him they threw out his contract. -
Who knows? I just know that Brandon said not to trust the Heralds, and I REALLY don’t trust the Herald who was involved in trying to CAUSE a Desolation. Particularly when this Herald always expected Odium to find a work around and is absolutely terrified of being tortured again. How better to avoid it than to make a deal with the enemy? It would also make for an awesome twist, and put a whole new spin on parts of RoW.

I think Odium started slowly becoming Invested in Roshar after striking the killing blow to Honor, although Odium was resisting it. When this happened BAM began to change, becoming something like a Bondsmith Spren, possibly because Odium was using her as a valve to slow his Investmant. As such, she was able to both Connect and create light, which she had never been able to do before. (And possibly had a Bondsmith.) When she was captured it created a vacuum where Odium’s Investiture should be. And like a Spren drawn to a gemstone, the Shard was drawn to the planet. So it’s not odd that they happened the same day, but that one directly caused the other. The Everstorm began to build that day, too, as a natural outgrowth of Odium becoming fully Invested. I think BAM is the Spren of the Everstorm, and once she merges with it it will create Voidlight. (Which will be important if the ‘Stormfather is going to die’ theory is correct.) I also think that she’s going to corrupt the deadeye spren, using their hatred and pain (we keep being told how angry the Deadeyes are) to give the Singers forms of power like she did before. Despite this, I think she needs to be freed as Odium is part of Roshar now, and this she is too. But I think it will be very bad for team Radiant.

Contrast of OathBringer & Rhythem of War
Kingsdaughter613 replied to quackquack's topic in Stormlight Archive
I agree with most of this, especially Kaladin’s oath. I hated the way it happened. Like you said: by the time we got there it felt hollow. -
I think Odium became fully Invested in Roshar that day, causing the tones to change from two to three. This fundamental change in the nature of the world caused the Sibling to lose its tune for a moment, and then was unable to find it again because Honor was dying and the tones were no longer as they were.

Yeah, but they didn’t use Wit’s contract.
