    I’d like to play a traditional roll 20 DnD game. I also wouldn’t mind playing the Mistborn RPG with someone. And I like playing some writing forum rpgs, preferably based around Brandon’s work or Tolkien’s, but I haven’t really seen one in a while. And the Tolkien ones tend to get annoyed at me because they are rarely run by people who know his world, while I do. In one rather amusing event an op thought my application was a joke because I stated my character was a Calaquendi Noldorin for race. Suffice to say things didn’t end up working out... I’d really love to find a serious Tolkien RP though. No, I’m not on Discord. I’m not amiss to joining though. TPBM thinks the first age Noldor were awesome. Insane, but awesome.

    Jelly is a smoother texture and doesn’t have fruit bits as it’s made with juice. Jam has a rougher texture and can include fruit bits. Also tastes better and isn’t as sweet or artificial. Preserves have the roughest texture and include fruit chunks floating in the gel. I like making jams and preserves. I don’t make jellies. I’d like to. Know any good ones? TPBM makes their own preserves.

    I like them and actually do say them pretty close to correctly. I roll the R and use a soft N at the end. TPBM thinks it’s unfair for schools to take away snow days just because of remote learning.

    Nope. And his name was Kiin, Eventeo’s older brother. Since you brought him up though I will note that I do consider adopted children and step-children the same as biological children and I will not specify whether or not a blood connection exists. If both parties acknowledge the other as parent/child then I consider them as such. So if this was Kiin I might mention that he has a married son, despite that son being his step-son. Also: all the questions involving Shallan and her Spren, which included some less-than-truthful responses. There are some things that Brandon does trick us on. Kelsier and Shallan, mostly. This wasn’t one of them.

    Agreed! This was my first too. I’m not surprised they didn’t ask my question though; I worded it non-spoilery but the answer would have had major Mistborn spoilers and Brandon was clearly trying to avoid those. I’ll try again when we have a Cosmere spoilers one.

    Exactly. He trusts his people - and that includes their judgement. I am now envisioning Godfather Kelsier, with Spook as Consigliere. Vito, btw, not Michael. Mraize would be Michael, with a lot of the same issues.

    Well, hello again! Now you know why I keep my username consistent! And congrats on getting your question answered! Now, don’t take this the wrong way, but... he said, ‘in a roundabout way, yes.’ Which, knowing Brandon, can mean ‘Ishar is manipulating Connection. And Kell’s problem is Connection. So what Ishar is doing could help Kell, but actually has nothing to with him and isn’t even directly related to his problem except in certain fundamental ways. But if Kelsier knew those fundamentals he could use them to figure out how to solve his problem.’ So it doesn’t prove much beyond ‘Kelsier’s problem involves Connection.’ Which is still a pretty nice confirmation of what we suspected.

    Yup. And they’d know he doesn’t approve of hurting kids. It’s more that Kell lets people know that he dislikes/disapproves of certain behaviors as opposed to outright forbidding them.

    Brandon basically admitted it when he asked us not to use Thaidakar’s actual name. Implying that he knew we knew that name and he’d intended for us to know. So... And then revealed that we’d seen Thaidakar in another series.

    Kelsier would be the one in trouble on the ‘personal pleasure’ rule, lol! Going by his past he’s unlikely to have too many guidelines. He prefers to allow his people to do their jobs their own way. And ‘common sense’ is NOT one of Kelsier’s strengths. In fact his neurology makes it difficult for him to think that way. I’m not sure he’s ever really entertained the concept... Should Kelsier put such rules forward? Of course! Will he? Probably not. I posted what Brandon’s said about Kell and trust on one of these threads (I’m not looking it up now). Kelsier’s ability to trust his friends and people is one of his greater strengths. It’s also his greater weaknesses and it’s cost him before. (I don’t mean Mare, btw; I mean Yeden.) The fact is, it would never occur to Kell that he needs those kinds of rules. Rules the Ghostbloods actually have: ‘Everyone must have a nickname.’ GBs, internally, unanimously, “Code names.” Kelsier’s idea of ‘rules’ tends toward the ridiculous. (You KNOW he ordered the SoScads to use different metalborn titles every time as a joke.) His only real ‘rule’ - and even that he didn't formalize (Spook probably did) - is that the Ghostbloods be loyal to one another. His crew is his family. He cares about them and he won’t see them turn on one another. That they may need shorter leashes is not something he’d ever consider. @StormFather! In addition to the above, Brandon confirmed tonight that Thaidakar is from another series. He also hinted prior to the actual question session that Thaidakar was who we thought he was and we were not to ask due to the Mistborn spoiler problem.
