Cookies In The TARDIS: The Intro Thread Fight
Nashan’Elin replied to Master Elodin's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
"Oh good! It only took you...." Nashan looks at his wrist, though there is no watch on it. "3.23 seconds! Admirable, espeically with the talking and whatnot." Nashan stretches his arm to the floor, and pulls out a spire of red and yellow crystal from the floor. He carelessly smacks his hand against the side, and a perfect seat forms in a divot of crystal. He drops into the newly-constructed chair. "So, what now?" -
I never noticed that! All the upvotes to you, that is some plausible evidence that splintering/shattering can have an effect on stars.

Cookies In The TARDIS: The Intro Thread Fight
Nashan’Elin replied to Master Elodin's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
"While I have no idea what this 'Ascendant' business is, my secretive friend, I can assure you that willing a multiversal being out of existence is rather more difficult than it looks. There's branching timelines, alternate outcomes, and all sorts of nonsense that must be considered. Trapping a multiversal being, however, is much easier." That said, Nashan isolated Secrets in a pocket universe, coincidentally formed out of a jacket pocket, and triple-inverted the walls of the pocket dimension, essentially deadlocking the dimensional walls. -
Why was the Cosmere so unmotivated after Odium's rampage? It had lost its Ambition. (It sounded better in my head)

Cookies In The TARDIS: The Intro Thread Fight
Nashan’Elin replied to Master Elodin's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
Nashan pries a carnivorous platypus off of his face. "What, @Secrets? You haven't heard of this place before?" He smiles, and waves his hand. The spike in him flies out, smashing into the ground hard enough to rip reality. "We aren't contained to the Docot Who universe, either. We have the whole multiverse as a playground. It's really quite the overpowered adventure." -
Since Investiture interferes with Investiture, I think soulstamping Nightblood would be insanely difficult, probably nigh-on impossible. But yes, Nightblood with Odium would be a terrifying thing.

"I have many souls." whispered Nashan from the corner. "None of them are my own, though." -
Random Stuff X: Something Weird
Nashan’Elin replied to marsoupial's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I learned how to make sparks using a plasma ball today, and burned myself a tiny bit doing it, so today was a fun day. -

Ashyn! That way, I'm not stuck on Literal Damnation. Kelsier, because he may be a bit sociopathic, but he's a lot more fun than grumpy Kal. If you Worldhopped to Roshar, would you rather appear at the Horneater Peaks or Honor's Magical Moving Perpendicularity?- 954 replies

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your family came into your room and turned on the light, not to wake you up, but to watch you sleep...?

I say Prof, because Marsh was known to be a Seeker, and the thing that was revealed in a dues-ex-machina way was not something that he started the book with. It is funny how specific you can get and still describe both characters, though

I just saw the new Beauty and the Beast movie. It was so good! I loved it! The songs, the animation, I don't know why I liked it so much but I DID!

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Nashan’Elin replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
You know you're a Sanderfan when the first time you saw a picture of Saitama you thought it was Szeth. -
Random Stuff X: Something Weird
Nashan’Elin replied to marsoupial's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Why, my good Mistrunner, the only plausible explanation is that these young children are actually Knowledge Gremlins, terrifying creatures who absorb the powers of wiser, higher beings such as 11-year-olds through hand-to-hand contact. -
My friend's copy of Arcanum Unbounded has "Shut it, Voidbringer!" in it. My copy of Calamity has "There will be heroes"

Sanderson "Would you Rather"
Nashan’Elin replied to KnightRadiant's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Ten volume treatise. I could probably learn a lot about Rosharan agriculture, which would be interesting. Besides, the treatise wouldn't make me want to tear out my eyes. Would you rather be stranded in the Cognitive Realm, somewhere between the planets with no idea where you are, or lost in the middle of the Taldain deserts (desert being an area without water-vines).- 954 replies

Is there such thing as a blind Tineye?
Nashan’Elin replied to The Honor Spren's question in Cosmere Q&A
I would assume it would just heighten their other senses, because allowing them to see would require some sort of healing or replacement for their damaged vision, which we have had no indication it does. Additionally, as it is possible to temporarily blind or deafen a Tineye using bright lights or noises when they are burning tin, they do seem capable of being unable to use certain senses, even if burning tin. -

Just btw, could you change the title of this post? I'm pretty sure Words of Radiance is still under the spoiler-policy, so it's best not to have such blatant spoilers in the title.

I just opened up to a random page in SH, and there was a guy named Midge that sort-of heard Kelsier. I think he ended up starting that one fight where someone punched Demoux?
-
Though, that does bring up another question. Would an Inquistor's spikes hold enough Investiture to block a Shardblade?
-
Well, we've seen the effect of Shardblades on physical, inanimate matter numerous times, namely, cutting through it with very little resistance. With that in mind, all we need to know is that a lightsaber blade is magnetically contained plasma. Since plasma is a state of matter, and is not alive, the Shardblade would pass right through it. However, I doubt it would disrupt the actually magnetic field containing the blade, so the lightsaber blade would be unaffected. Basically, both weapons just pass right through each other.

Kelsier and the man he rescued when destroying the Pits who was named... Wellen? Technically, all people in the Pit when they were destroyed are Survivors. Who was the broken man Kelsier tried to contact in Secret History, but misheard his message and started a fight?
