Welcome! Rep titles are pretty simple stuff. You start out as a spren, and once you get rep that title will start to change. This post should help you out with the various levels and how much rep you need for them. Hope this helps! also, posts like these should probably go in the 17th Shard Discussion Board.

Hey, Dakhor Monk!... ow, actually, I get painful-torture-bone-growth-sessions in the monastery. But hey, I’m the subject of one of my old, popular theories!

From what he says, it totally does feel like this would be possible, but since we’ve never seen that it does, I thought about it a different. I think you could use the analogy that a highstorm acts like rain. Rain (Investiture) falls from the clouds (Spiritual Realm) and passes through the air (Cognitive Realm) before finally splashing to the ground (Physical Realm). The power passes through all three Realms, but each is still seperate from each other. A Perpendicularity is where all 3 Realms are united into one. Of course, this analogy doesn’t quite work, either, because AFAIK spheres can’t recharge in Shadesmar... so maybe my analogy is somewhat right, maybe it’s totally wrong.

Just because a character is OP doesn’t necessarily mean that they are boring, but I would say it makes giving them character goals a lot more difficult. Besides, I like the ideas of characters using tricks, skills, or cleverness to do something they really shouldn’t be able to. Like Kenton, in White Sand.

Well, I guess I do have a character I turn into in my head sometimes who’s been to the Cosmere, but they’re my overpowered immortal multiverse traveler, so I’ll ignore them. I may just have to make up a few Cosmere characters, though I tend to (barring the above exception) make my characters underpowered, like, say, a Forger who’s really bad at Forging themselves, rather than a Mistborn-Radiant-Elantrian.

My thoughts about the main ships we’ve been talking about are this: I do like Syladin, though many people don’t. Their interactions currently read as close, but not necessarily romantic-undertones, but the level of closeness they have is great. Jasnadin: I used to like it, but then I realized that it’s like a 15 year age gap and Jasnah just really doesn’t seem to me like she’s interested in relationships, or at least relationships with men. Tarah, well, she’s kinda gone and has her own life. If she is brought back, I wouldn’t mind it, but I think she’s just been brought up across the books because she is basically the only real relationship Kaladin’s ever had. I, personally, see it as more foreshadowing that Kaladin’s thinking about relationships, like Syl’s saying that he should be with someone.

Check out this WoB: It’s entirely possible to Surgebind anywhere in the Cosmere, as Honour’s Investiture is stored in the Spiritual Realm, and therefore independent of location. And, @A Dopey Spren, the connection between the spren and Honour is just that Honour’s Investiture is used to power Surgebinding. I don’t believe that we know how much Culti and how much Honour inkspren are.

I don’t necessarily disagree with you, here. But why do you say this? It doesn’t matter how many in-world years it has been, a character at, say, 50 on Roshar has lived the same ‘absolute’ time as a 55 year old here. I do agree that we should interpret the characters not to be older than they are, but still, they are technically older. Of course, maybe Roshar’s 0.7g gravity means they feel this age a bit less...

Hey, maybe in Mistborn Era 4, we’ll see Kelsier take a trip to Roshar on a spaceship! Somehow, I doubt we’ll see him in the current Rosharan storyline. He seems busy on Scadrial.

You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
Nashan’Elin replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you get your dad to listen to Warbreaker on audiobook, and he likes it so much you give him Mistborn. And the instant he finishes it, he asks “Do you have the Well of Ascension?” and then an evil grin grows on your face... -
I’d bet a Mistborn who peered into the Spiritual Realm would forget most of it really quickly, like Kelsier did in SH when Preservation showed him the SR.

[OB] What do you guys want from book four?
Nashan’Elin replied to ICanDream's topic in Stormlight Archive
What I want to see from book 4? Well, here we go... Some storming emotional moments! Adolin and Shallan got married, for Honor’s sake! Let’s see some feelings happening there! Jasnah and Shallan having an actual conversation! Jasnah and Renarin talking about his corruption and how it’s okay! And maybe even an ending to the love-triangle-that-never-really-was that feels a little bit more conclusive. Kaladin’s fourth Ideal! And honestly, I’d prefer this one to be spoken early in the book, Part 2 maybe. Having him speak an Oath in sort of a quieter moment, instead of climactically on a battlefield would be an interesting change of pace. Shardplate! We all but saw Jasnah manifest something, so at least a scene of her in private, summoning a glove or something. An exploration of Dalinar’s semi-Shard powers that he somehow gained with the Stormfather. What do they mean? How strong is he, really? Kaladin having some sort of a relationship would be great. Moash-Vyre getting burned eternally in the pits of Braize. Or dying very painfully. I’d settle for him getting a blast of Division to the face, or Nightblood’s tender mercies. Lift meeting more of the other Radiants, them reacting to Lift being, well, herself. Since Lift and Szeth did seem to be paired up for things multiple times in this book, maybe them going to Shinovar. Szeth’s highspren! Their name, and us seeing them. The Sibling! I haven’t seen them, but I already love them. Szeth starting an Order of Skybreakers in Urithiru, or more Skybreakers choosing to follow the new Knights Radiant instead of Odium. Venli joining up with the Urithiru Nine, and learning more about her powers. Ash and Taln getting a bit better, maybe. Just more of them. And no more Heralds better get killed! (Lookin’ at you, MOASH!) -
(OB) We need to talk about Eshonai
Nashan’Elin replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
I used to think we’d see Eshonai in the Rosharan afterlife, maybe becoming some sort of rogue Fused to return to Roshar, but after hearing that it’s Odium’s power that sustains the Fuseds’ spirits, I doubt it. It seems unlikely that Odium would bother sustaining Eshonai, a listener who resisted stormform and probably smells of Honor’s Investiture. She probably moved Beyond. She does, though, still have good flashback potential. In the present, Venli, being a Willshaper and listener Radiant, is a much more interesting character to follow. However, in the past, Eshonai, being an explorer and maybe starting a bond with Timbre, makes a better story than Venli being a scholar. And @mariapapadia, the flashback characters for the back 5 are, as of now, set to be Lift, Renarin, Jasnah, Ash, and Taln. No Venli flashbacks, sorry. -
Personally, I’d really like the novella that he actually did write, for his eyes only, about Jasnah’s travels through Shadesmar during WoR. As for information about the Heralds, I’ve heard that we’ll only get that in books 6-10, so you will get what you want, but you may have to wait juuuust 10 or so years for it

I wasn’t meaning to do that, is this about the First and Second Ideals? My thoughts there were just that it seems off that all those potential Skybreakers who swore the First Ideal bonded spren, right at that moment or before it, given how wary spren are of the bond. Besides, I thought at one point Szeth saw more than one highspren watching him at the Purelake, which seems to indicate more than one spren was thinking about bonding him. Or if you were talking about squires in general, I thought the thing about them was that they hadn’t yet bonded spren, but were on a path to.
-
I do think that Ash will become a Dustbringer, but is not one yet. She’s sufficiently broken, obviously, and although she is (was) associated with the Order of the Lightweavers, being their Patron, that doesn’t mean she’s always tied to them. Going off of this WoB, it’s very possible Ash could have used Chana’s Honorblade before, and familiarized herself with those Surges.
-
One part about the Skybreakers that confuses me is how they can swear the First and Second Ideals seemingly without bonding a spren. I know they become squires, but being a squire doesn’t seem like it should let you swear Ideals, because what are those Ideals being sworn to? Who accepts them? To be fair, the whole idea of squires is odd. Do they form small bonds with their Radiant’s spren, and that spren accepts their Ideals? This doesn’t seem right, either. I’m gonna go talk about this in a different topic, but what we do know is this: Szeth saw what I assume were highspren watching his performance in the Purelake. They were already interested in him, before he spoke his Second Ideal. By the he entered the battle at Thaylen City, he had bonded a spren, as he was able to Invest and use Lashings. He then spoke the Third Ideal, and was confirmed to have bonded the spren.
-
I already had to suffer angst during the Tor chapters thinking that Dalinar might forget Navani because he married her, but I refuse to deal in this Taln is Odium-ish angst. Taln is amazing and selfless and strong and he was so happy that humanity had been able to come so far.

[OB] Possible evidence of a radiant with Shardplate
Nashan’Elin replied to Dearius's topic in Stormlight Archive
It may not be proof, but it does mean that Jasnah knows how to get Plate, which does hint that she has done it before, or at least learned of it during her magical journey through Shadesmar with the highspren. -
I’m pretty sure the picture just doesn’t go into enough detail to really see her eye color. Besides, in the picture, she’s also flying slightly, which is confirmed to be just an artistic thing, so the cover’s not 100% correct, but it looks really storming good. So, Jasnah has magic purple eyes, yes, but she still looks awesome without them on the cover.

So THAT’S why he really tried to become an Elantrian. He wanted access to those sweet, sweet illusions!

I do like audiobooks, but I don’t listen to them a lot, mostly because of how slow they are. I like to devour books as fast as I can, at least on the first read, so I have trouble spending dozens of hours to get through a book.
