  1. When did Shallan bond with Re-Shepir? I don´t recall anything that suggests that she did. As for Yelig-nar, that wasn´t exactly bonding. It was defenitely not a Nahel bond, in any case. He seems to be more like a parasite, who uses a host to do stuff, and then consumes the host, and needs a new one. As far as I know, we don´t know wether you can bond Unmade, but since they are spren, I suppose that you can. If they do grant surges, I would expect that it ends up being on the Voidbinding side of things though. So, my guess would be that you get some sort of Voidbinging from bonding Sja-anat, since she is connected to Odium, and created by him. Maybe some kind of twisted version of the Transformation surge, since she is basically transforming spren. EDIT: @Calderis apparently posted a WoB which shows that Unmade indeed can be bonded.
  2. Amaram. He is a complicated character, who I think wants to do good, but fails horribly, and is haunted by the sacrifices he has made for his religion. Other favorites are Mraize and Nale.
  3. Marsh is a typical fan-favorite. A somewhat minor character, but one who gives off a badass feel. He also looks cool, struggles between the light and the dark, and has awesome magical powers. I love the guy, but Kelsier is my favorite character in fiction, so I go with him. He is brilliant, both as a character, and as a concept. The themes Brandon explores with him are fascinating. He is a hero, a villain, a trickster, a theif, a murderer, a magician, a fighter and a martyr. He was the one who died, but at the same time, he always finds a way to stay alive and keeps on hanging around. Also, he is funny. Least favorite is Spook. I thought his development in HoA felt rushed, and I am not very fond of him. Yeden kind of feels like the easy way out to that question, since he dies early and is pretty unsymphatetic until then. He never got the chance at being as developed as the others. Whoever picked Dockson as the best one is awesome. He is underrated.
  4. It would be cool to see Kelsier become a "spren". But in order to bond a spren, you need cracks in your soul, and I assume that Cognitive Shadows can have those cracks, since they have a soul.
  5. Welcome! Concerning Azure: you can only discuss her in the Oathbringer Spoiler Section, or in the Cosmere Section (I think). Concerning Hoid: he is not a Returned, but it is a good guess, and you did have ideas to back it up with. I hope to see you around, and to see more theories from you. Upvote!
  6. We know the following: *Autonomy (held by Bavadin, is located on the planet Taldain, featured in White Sand) *Honor (held by Tanavast, located on Roshar, featured in Stormlight) *Cultivation (the vessels name is unknown, but she was Tanavasts lover, and is also on Roshar) *Odium (held by Rayse, has a beef with Hoid, splinters other Shards and is currently trapped on Braize. Featured in Stormlight). *Dominion (held by Skai, located on Sel, until he was killed and splintered by Odium). *Devotion (held by Alona, also on Sel, and got killed by Odium too. The remains of Dominion and Devotion play a part in Elantris). *Ambition (got killed by Odium, but parts of the Shard influences Threnody, a planet which can be seen in the short-story Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell). *Endowment (held by Edgli, located on the planet Nalthis, featured in Warbreaker). *Ruin (held by Ati, located on Scadrial, featured in Mistborn). *Preservation (held by Leras, located on Scadrial, featured in Mistborn). And then there is one more. Mistborn spoiler: As for how you recognize a Cosmere book... if a guy named Hoid is in there somewhere, it is defenitely Cosmere. Otherwise, it can be hard to tell without a Google-search, but the following books/series are currently part of the Cosmere (spoilered for lenght)
  7. They kind of made it sound like he was a Sadeas though, since they called him Sadeas a couple of times. Maybe Ialai adopted him.
  8. Don´t think it is a spambot. Those usually advertise/link to stuff. This guy just asks about ringtones. Which I, for the record, know nothing about. Bluetooth might work, @Mai Davika, but I can´t guarantee it.
  9. It's a very sticky topic.
  10. @Nathrangking That is why I don't like the Stick...
  11. Stick? No, I think its Taln. Stick resisted catching fire for five minutes. Taln took torture like a boss for 10 000 years.
  12. So, am I the only one who almost always prefer secondary characters to the main ones in almost all stories I read/watch? I like Legolas over Aragorn, I prefer Amaram over Kaladin (please, don´t kill me), my favorites in GoT/ASoIaF are Stannis and Beric and in The Faithful and the Fallen the secondary villain Braith wound up being my favorite character of all. So I´m interested if this is common, and if anyone else also prefer secondary characters to main ones. And why? Like, the main character is the one with the most development, so why do you think people would grow more attached to the secondaries?
  13. First off, I would hurry to the nearest theatre to see Infinty War as soon as possible if I were you. That thing might end up being the movie of the decade. Second, have you made her read Stormlight, or just the NO MATING part?
  14. I like @StrikerEZ suggestions. Also thinking of motivation.
  15. Can't we ask @Chaos to create a new term then?
  16. I haven't bought a book today...
  17. I think we will, with the possible exception of the already dead ones such as Dominion and Honor. It would be a waste for Brandon to have sixteen but not use them all for sonething.
  18. If we look at the plan for new Cosmere-books, there is mostly sequels on established planets. So, where will the remaining unknown Shards show up? Do you think they will be involved in existing series, such as SA or Mistborn, or will we get new series, with new Shardworlds, where they are introduced?
  19. Thirty+ years would be my guess. Stormlight takes time, and his side-projects are slowing him down. There will be at least seven more Mistborn books (final Wax&Wayne book, along with two more trilogies). Then we will have two Elantris sequels, at least one book focused on Hoid and the Shattering, and then maybe one on Threnody. And, of course, the Stormlight books. In addition to all these, we might get other stories which Brandon hasn't announced yet.
  20. Anyone playing this? How do you think it holds up to the other games? Favorite civs/leaders? Anyone making a Cosmere-themed mod?
  21. The idea is interesting. The Weeping doesn't seem to be very evil though. The only thing it does is take away access to Stormlight for two weeks. And even if you believe that Black Fisher is blocking all the highstorms, he doesn't seem to be good at it. The Stormfather could easily summon one during the Weeping in WoR. Personally, my guess would be that the Weeping is more of a tradition, or a weather pattern. But it is a cool idea, that the BF is behind it.
  22. Huh. This is speculation worthy of its own thread. I think we have a WoB that says Kelsier will cameo in Lost Metal though, so wherever he is, he will come back, unless we just get another metalmind-vision.
  23. I'm thinking of the Radiant-spren. I'm pretty sure that they aren't common in Roshar outside of Urithiru. There might be rumors of the Stormfathers presence as well. The travelling is a good point though.
  24. @ZenBossanova Why would certain Shards be external, and others be internal though?
  25. Welcome! Beware that the forums for each book-series contains spoilers for all books in the series (and the Cosmere section contains spoilers for everything). Be careful! Hope to see you around!
