  1. There are loads of wierd spren there. Shouldn't he get there as fast as possible?
  2. True. But Autonomy kind of means individuality and separation as well as it means freedom. The word contains a lot of different meanings.
  3. The gods that wordhip Hoid could be Returned as well. A lot of them are pretty stupid, so it wouldn't surprise me if he accidentally made some of them worship him.
  4. I'd argue that Autonomy is more of a complex version of freedom.
  5. @Willow Thanks! Paladar is just such a cool name. I wish he was a cooler dude than he is :-(
  6. Marsh is doing things. He investigates the southern continent. We don't really know what is there, and so it might be hugely important. Where did we learn that Kelsier isn't on Scadrial in Era 2?
  7. The point with a time-skip would be to allow stuff to happen off-screen. This is most likely stuff that is important, but not hugely important. The Alethi might establish new military bases on different places. New Radiants may show up, and as such we won't need to have ten different introduction scenes for each one. Some political stuff might happen as well. I suspect that the time-skip will be setting the stage for a lot of super-important things in Book 4.
  8. It is an interesting idea, and very possible. Experience is indeed a cool Shard name too, so it works. Congrats on your first 100 posts! May there be a hundred more!
  9. @Vissy What makes JK a transphobe? And I don't even know what a TERF is...
  10. This is very wierd. Tanalan seems to be a very powerful figure in the region, so he was most likely a dominating force. As others have said, the most likely explanation is that there were eleven princedoms, but someone felt that was a pagan number, so the last one (maybe the least powerful) was named something else, and its overlord didn't get the same status as the other highprinces. On another note, could @Willow or someone else tell me who Paladar is. That is one of the coolest names I've heard in a long time.
  11. True. I had missed that the quote is from Harmony, and not from Sazed, which is a small but important distinction to make.
  12. I'd say someone like TLR or Kelsier might be able too, given that they have very long lifespan, which allows for much weight-gathering. They should be able to gather up enough weight and then push (maybe assissted by duralumin). The fact that they can compound should help as well. A normal guy like Wax though? Nope.
  13. That quote is kind of interesting, since it implies that Sazed will live on until the end of the Mistborn series.
  14. These were very entertaining! I don't like everything (Ron & Hermione) but that is to be expected. You have done some really fun stuff though, especially with Harry and Draco. I'm hoping for more!
  15. Cool idea! I don't have any art to offer (my fan-art might scare away budding Cosmere fans, because my drawing skills aren't the best) but I'd contact some of the artists on here if I were you, and ask them.
  16. I think Mraize might know a lot as well, which is kinda fun. But she should probably not marry him either. @IronBars I feel like Shallan might become pregnant and give birth to her and Adolins child during the gap. That would explain the wedding, and also the time-gap. It might be easier to skip over her pregnancy from a storytelling perspective.
  17. I don't think we could name one character, except Pattern, who she doesn't keep enormous secrets from.
  18. Yeah, I agree. I like magic, but I am bored by tutorials. He made them very fun in Mistborn though, with Kelsiers commentary. Kaladin is kind of a magic exposition character at times, and some of those scenes can be a bit dull, but some (the fight with Lopen, Sigzil and Rock in WoR) are fun.
  19. Nice find! Upvote! And welcome to the forums. It is possible that you aren't the first to find it, but it is always great when people discover stuff.
  20. This feels farfetched to me. Adonalsium shattered into sixteen different pieces, and we have a WoB that says taht the pieces wouldn´t necessarily be the same if Adonalsium had been shattered by other people than the sixteen who did it. If Unity is the core of Adonalsium, stripped bare (which is a cool concept) it would most likely be a Shard, no matter who the shatterer (probably not a legit word) was. Also, Unity as a word means being together. It would be a wierd name for something that is stripped bare entirely.
  21. The problem with Unity being an original Shard of Adonalsium is basically that it wouldn´t have anything to do with SA if that was the case. I firmly believe that the only Shards we will deal with directly in that series is Honor, Odium and Cultivation. We have proof by WoB on the fact that they are the only Shards on Roshar. If Unity was a Shard, it would have been killed by Odium, since he says something along the lines of "we killed you." And if that was the case, Unity would not have been killed on Roshar, or even in the Rosharan system, based off the fact that Odium, Cultivation and Honor were the only Shards to actively spend their time there. So, recap: 1. If Unity existed, it would have been killed by Odium. 2. Unity would have died somewhere else than in the Rosharan System. The second point makes it unlikely that Dalinar has suddenly picked up the Shard of Unity, or that is at least how I see it. From where would he get it? The only possibility I could see is that he plucked it from the Spiritual Realm, since time and place doesn´t matter there, but if he had done that, we would have seen him manifest more Shard-like abilities. We have seen people pick up Shards, and Dalinars experience doesn´t really match that. So, in short, I doubt that Unity is a Shard.
  22. I think Sazed will be important to the Cosmere, but my gut tells me that he won't be Adonalsium. Brandon already did the "missionary-becomes-a-god" arc with him. Doing the same thing on a larger scale might feel like a repeat of things we have seen already.
  23. Religion? This wouldn't work on any internet-forum except the Shard, but I suspect the tone will be civil here. My main one (this is incredibly unpopular here in Sweden): is that I think abortion is morally wrong. To steer this into more entertainment related discussions, I don't like Jasnah and would have preferred if she stayed dead.
  24. I started to consider it when she used the metaphors, I think, but I wanted her to be Chana, so I was in denial until she mentioned Vasher in Shadesmar. Then I accepted it.
  25. I second this, and I believe Brandon has said no to that as well.
