  1. I see your point with most of these things, and it is something that a lot of people have talked about. The love triangle for example has a thread with around 80 pages of discussion and debate. I feel like OB is the most divisive SA book this far, to be honest. To adress some of your points: -Szeth: Jasnah does comment on his presence during the battle, and Taravangian then explains that he was behind a lot of the damage Szeth caused. It is also possible that Dalinar spoke to Szeth off-screen after the battle. So I think this makes sense. -Jezrien: I like the fact that he got killed is something I like. It was quite a twist, and it sets up new mysteries, such what the dagger is, or if Moash will be a certified Herald-killer. I also think it adds to Moash's story. Jezriens death also makes us worried for the other Heralds. It shows us that they can die. Welcome to the forums!
  2. @Weltall Speaking of Hitchhikers... "The Windrunners hung in the sky in much the same way that a brick don't."
  3. Groot is the heretic here, not me. He didn't only steal the line, but also got it wrong.
  4. Szeth should just go stab all the Unmade then. Are the characters aware of what Nightblood can do?
  5. Whoops, ignore this.
  6. Welcome! Hope you enjoy it here! Which books have you read?
  7. 1. Shallan probably has some sort of identity crisis, but it is boosted with magic. I read childrens psychology in school kinda recently, and some of the stuff Shallan does (such as pretending that certain things never happened) reminds me of that. So I'd guess her behavior also has something to do with her family situation. 2. I have no idea, but realmatic theory isn't really my area of expertise. 3. There are loads of different thoughts about this one. It almost sounds like Odium is referring to Adonalsium, but I doubt Dalinar has reformed it.
  8. So did I. Yay! I can see why, even though I am not very fond of him myself.
  9. BvS and Suicide Squad are good. Haven't seen JL or MoS. Will watch the former eventually, not sure about the latter. Also, a specific GoT one: Beric Dondarrion is waaaaaaaaay better than Lady Stoneheart.
  10. Any special reason for thinking he is a Radiant except the normal "he got characterization so he will probably be a KR"? I agree about him not being a spren. They usually look incredibly wierd, and he only had a mustache.
  11. So, I just recalled the OB interlude about the soldier who got fed to a giant crab-thing, by a Herdazian army. First, why is a Herdazian army on the border between Herdaz and Alethkar? Are they defending against Voidbringers, or are they up to something else, like taking over parts of Alethkar, or helping refugees? The second question is about the Herdazian general, who likes breaking himself out if manacles and chains. He was a pretty colorful character, and I'm wondering if he, and his army, will wind up being relevant farther down the line (maybe in SA4). We don't have that many Herdazian characters, so one more might be good. What do you all think of this?
  12. What Stormwardens look like? They are all, of course, incredibly ugly. Tbh, I don't really know. Check the Coppermind might be a good idea. I imagine robes, but that might just be me.
  13. How the mechanics of your duels/fights/assassinations work.
  14. Oathbringer really won't answer for the fact that Kaladin feels like the main character of Shallans book though. I am personally in agreement with you about that being a mistake. Unfortunately, Kaladins story in WoR needed the page-time (mostly) but he still has a tendency to be stealing spotlight. As for Shallans flashbacks lacking... I can see your point. I always prefer the main narrative over the flashbacks (the OB ones are the best of the bunch this far though) but Shallans flashbacks are very focused on one single event, namely her family. Kaladin has more stuff going on, and I think that is what it boils down to. Brandon was at the point of writing WoR not willing to show or reveal stuff that would have been interesting, and could have made the Shallan chapters more varied (Lins connections with the Ghostbloods, Shallans bond with Pattern, her mother and who she was, Helaran). Had we gotten more of that I think we would feel a lot better about the flashbacks, since they would have been delving deeper into Shallan, her surroundings, and General Lore, which we all love.
  15. @Mraize I'm thinking an overciew of the major guilds, what you do, maybe explain your references for new people who don't know Breaths or hemalurgy. Explain how you wage your Alleywar as well. As I said, you don't have to do this, and if it in any way ruins your guild secrecy stuff or the fun of it, I'd say don't do it. But it might be helpful for people who are wondering what on Yolen you are up to.
  16. The real interesting thing is that those she loved hurt her. Who exactly, is the guilty one? I don't think Dalinar is the culprit, not here. For one, we would know from his flashbacks, and two, she seems to have always loved him. I guess Gavilar and/or Navani are the ones to blame here, because they are the only ones I can think of, besides Dalinar. Maybe the fact that they locked her up was what hurt her, but it would be interesting if there was something more.
  17. I have too been wondering about how this works. Maybe people like @Mraize @Nohadon @MacThorstenson who I've seen involved in this could write up a guide of some sort (or maybe that would spoil the fun, I don't know).
  18. Yeah, it could. Oroden could be a part of it too.
  19. Welcome! Have an upvote! Reckoners are awesome. I would personally suggest reading Mistborn next. I would also recommend reading Warbreaker before the second Stormlight book. Also, do note that the forums for different books contains spoilers (and the Cosmere subforum has spoilers for everything).
  20. In Soviet Roshar, food eats Lift. In Soviet Roshar, Nale is an anarchist. And in Soviet Roshar, Sadeas is still a piece of crem.
  21. I have the WiFi of Justice and I will incinerate your toast with the fires of retribution!
  22. Yo! Welcome to the Shard! Which Sanderson books have you read, this far?
  23. So did Amaram. I think they all count though. I suppose that with villains, the OP means antagonists. And all of them has been antagonists, and defenitely done villanious things.
