[OB] What's up with Oathbringer?
Toaster Retribution replied to Sherlock Holmes's topic in Stormlight Archive
Kaladin was great in OB. He didn’t steal the show, and didn’t become superman. His character had some great development, and I’m glad the ending didn’t wind up being ”Kaladin saves the day” yet again. That would have been both boring and annoying.- 19 replies

Looks cool! Hearing how happy Brandon is with it makes me look forward to reading.

This means that the Wall can be eleven Hoids, 1,5 Hoids, or something entirely different. When you measire in Hoid, you’ll never be wrong.
-
A Mistborn should wipe the floor with a normal shardbearer. Just blast them with coins from afar. Eventually their plate will break, and they will die. @ElephantEarwax Thanks for supporting Hoid as an offical Cosmere measurement term.
-
Three and a half Hoids.

What she needs the papers for is intriguing, especially since she got it from a drawer marked with sixteen. Good work! I noticed that you used both past tense "she crouched" and present tense "she curses". I'd suggest using only one of these, for the sake of simplicity.

How would the kandra gain that kind of Connection to Roshar/the Alethi?
-
Hemalurgical spikes or medallions makes sense. However, I do think that learning at least one new language, and least one new alien culture takes more work than interrogating someone incredibly thoroughly. So it might not be that easy. But I am leaning towards your side in this debate, that Felt isn't the kandra. And I also support the Mrall idea.
-
@The One Who Connects I think he meant cultural stuff, not physical appearance. The kandra doesn't know much of alethi culture, and is thus imitating someone who comes from somewhere else. I am personally not throwing this idea out of the window completely. Something is special about Felt. If it isn't being the kandra, then what is it? Wait, we found her? When?

Apparently, I am supposed to sing about the dawn? Or should I sing until dawn? Or should I sing about Dawn from Pokemon? I find this rank extremely unclear.

Any europeans (or others) beside me who follow this? The first semi is on tuesday. Favorite songs? Who will win it all? Personally, I think Norway could take the win, and they have what is probably the best song and defenitely the best performer, in Alexander Rybak.

The nine Unmade, and probably a WoB.

"[OB] [Elantris Spoilers] Telrii in Roshar?"
Toaster Retribution replied to Thunderclast's topic in Stormlight Archive
I doubt the man is Telrii, unless Telrii had a decoy who died in his place and became Elantrian after the book was over. That is pretty far-fetched though, especially considering that Telrii was a minor villain. The birthmark guy is interesting though. He might be important without being Telrii. A Ghostblood maybe? -

[OB] Renarin and Adolin (healing wrist scene)
Toaster Retribution replied to Sun Maker's topic in Stormlight Archive
Wouldn’t that just be the SR version of Adolin? I think Renarins powers made Adolin able to see his spiritual self. -
(OB) Chemoarish and the Black Fisher
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
I like the idea of Dai-Gonarthis being some kind of sorrow-inducing dementor being. The Black Fisher is such a creepy-cool name, so I hope he’ll be as impressive as the name suggests. There was an idea in another thread that he was influencing Shallans family, which would be cool. That he is Cusicesh is also a nice idea. Cusicesh would also work well, considering that the Irali have joined Odium. He might be doing stuff down there to further that alliance. Chemoarish... I like @dvoraens thoughts there. Personally, I’d say she is imprisoned somewhere. There has to be a reason for why we haven’t seen her. Her name suggests that she is mindless, and thus is unlikely to be manipulating the Irali. -
It has to be Cultivation. But just to be edgy, I’ll suggest BAM.

What character are you most like?
Toaster Retribution replied to Kidpen's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Elend. Reads books. We both have wierd ideas. Sarcastic. Both of us easily worry, too. -
I doubt Kaladin will survive the entire ten-book arc. I defenitely think either he, Shallan or Dalinar will die at the end of book 5. Taravangian probably won’t survive book 5, because of his age. I doubt he dies off-screen between books. I have a wierd feeling Axies will die. I doubt Nale, Moash and Mraize will survive the series either.

The problem is: if everyone comes back, Infinity War will be pointless. Vision, Loki and Heimdall probably need to stay dead. In addition, it seems like the movie tries to tell you that he is dead. Thanos ”no resurrections” line, and Thors ”this time I think it might be for real” heavily implies that.
-
I love Loki, but his death wasn’t that bad. He did everything he could to save Thor and the universe, without any wish for personal glory. It was a good culmination of his arc, and allowed him to go full circle. The Guardians will most likely be revived. Maaaybe except Gamora, but she’ll most likely come back too.
