  1. I find Moash to be a great character from a writing standpoint. He is a perfect foil to Kaladin, and also works to show how Odium works when he takes over people, essentially by taking away their hope to be better (which we also see with Amaram on Thaylen Fields). I certainly think that Moash is an interesting character, but he is also one who is very easy to dislike. Sadeas has some kind of charisma and charm, Amaram is misled and at times honorable and kind, Mr T is a desperate old man who really does his utmost to save humanity,. But Moash has an unlikeable attitude, is whiny, and revenge-driven, even at the times when he is on team good guy. I think that whole attitude makes it easier to dislike the guy. And then, the Elhokar and Jezrien scenes are just icing on the cake. That said, I defenitely think people should be allowed to like Moash. I don´t, but as the number one fan of another famous Rosharan piece of crem, I certainly symphatize and understand the people who do. Go, Moash fans! And also, @Calderis I agree that Moash doesnt kick the child. But the act of pushing a weeping child away of his father, so that you then can spear the father through the eye while the child is watching (which is what Moash does) is defenitely gross. Moash has his reasons, but I still think that the act in question can easily be considered one of the worst in the series.
  2. I think Odium knows, or at least suspects, that Hoid is on Roshar, and is up to something. And yeah, I think that if Ash recognizes Hoids drawings, Nale should recognize Hoid on sight (then again, Hoid is good at disguises, so who knows).
  3. This is a subject that I havent seen much discussion on. They apparently knew eachother, since Helaran used Hoid as a messenger in WoR. That makes me wonder if Hoid has spent a lot of time with the Skybreakers? And in the case, is Nale aware that he is around? And could that mean that Nale has info he can give to Odium regarding Hoids location on Roshar?
  4. It is a nice write-up, but I am not sold on this. For a number of reasons: 1. Adolin is defenitely not the kind who person who would want to wander about repairing fabrials. He hardly knows the basics of how they work. Adolin is a warrior, general and leader. His character needs to change radically in order for him to want to be more scientific-minded. Brandon might be able to pull it off, but I doubt he will. 2. Cultivations magic is probably not a ”power-set” in the sense of the Radiant magic or (supposedly) Voidbinding. I think it will be more of a low-key technical kind of thing, which anyone can theoretically access. That is just my personal guess though. Unless one of her supposed boons is an unitentional side-effect of either the curse or the boon, which is plausible.
  5. The gas giants are interesting. I find gas giants interesting in real life too. I hope they we see the Rosharan ones sooner or later.
  6. He wrote Edgedancer during focused writing time I think. But I do think he will have a contingency plan in case Rock novella cant release before SA4.
  7. Hopefully Iyatil then. I dont have anything against her, but I am a fan of Mraize. And Brandon whacked Amaram and Graves, so I think he can allow my favorite villains a break for SA4.
  8. As others have said, if the horses bindpoint isnt through the forehead you will just end up with a dead horse and a wasted spike. Otherwise, yeah, it works.
  9. Mraizes chicken is Thaidakar.
  10. I dont think this will happen. I feel like Brandon has done too much foreshadowing on Mraizes importance. He hasnt revealed his true name, he gives him an interesting personality, he has the whole Hoid-comparison thing, and is also mentioned by Adrotagia in relation to the Diagram. It would be a waste of Mraizes build-up and air of mystery to off him in favor of Iyatil, who is a less interesting character in my opinion.
  11. I have thought about this too. @Ammanasis generally knowledgeable about book stuff, so he might have an educated guess
  12. I hope he doesnt work himself too hard... its great to hear how good the book is turning out though.
  13. Oh, shoots, my theory is plausible? Yay! And I recognize that WoB. I think I might have seen it long ago too.
  14. This prospect is honestly scary. I’m 20 at the moment, and so I’ll be 55 when Brandon finishes, if the data is right. I feel old now :-(
  15. First off, what does anomaly mean in this context? The word itself means unusual, and so, this particular anomaly has to be something unusual for the CR. Seeing as the anomaly is a pretty large area in empty space, where no humans are alive, my guess would be that it is a large area inside the CR, which would be unusual considering how the size of places in the CR is affected by how important the areas are in the PR. So this anomaly would just be a large area, instead of a small one, which it should be. This should mean that the CR around Nalthis is a lot bigger than it should be, and also that travel to and from the planet takes more time (doesnt mean that it is more or less dangerous though). Now I’ll wait for @Calderis to come and tell me a realmatic fact that will prove me wrong :-D
  16. We can have both. She could get a redemption arc and atone for them, and then die. I like the way her death could potentially mirror Eshonais, since we will have them both as flashbacks in SA4.
  17. Not intentionally though.
  18. She doesnt deserve that! I think he has a role to play in the story. He has got too much backstory not to have that. I think the story might be better if he died.
  19. Maybe too early to speculate, but its interesting nontheless. Who will pass into the Beyond in the next book? My guesses: -At least a couple thousand Alethi spearmen. -Adrotagia. It wouldnt surprise me if Mr Ts betrayal came to light in the next book, and if so, he will take some casualties. Adrotagia feels like someone whose loss would affect him deeply. -Leshwi. At least twice. -Probably someone in a flashback. -Khal. Team Dalinar needs to take losses. -Venli. Her arc ending in saving a faction of Listeners from Odium and dying in the process would mirror Eshonais in a great way. Anyone else wanna bet?
  20. Rock is another popular candidate. I think he and Rlain, or Navani. I was on the T train before OB, but I’m not sure anymore. Dont think Watcher or Sibling are going to be keen on bonding a guy who is working for Odium.
  21. Beric Dondarrion is a Windrunner. Protecting the smallfolk, inspiring loyal followers, and has a cool nickname.
  22. Nope, that was Relis.
  23. Jakamav seemed to be set up for a conflict with Adolin. But there wasnt really much payoff between them in the duel. Do we think he will reappear?
  24. I think its hard to judge Gavilar before we know his full motivation. The guy is a riddle, and we will probably not know his full character until book 5. I do seem to recall him hiding alcohol from Dalinar, so he did try to help a little. He also gets extra points for throwing the most confusing party in the history of the Cosmere. @WhiteEmporer Agreed about Jasnah.
  25. I thought of that. Guy can look pretty young though.
