yeah, it's quite fashinating like theory. He linked it in the post or you may find it here Anyway, I have still some trouble with this new Interpretation, I probably need more time to think about it :S

I think not. We know only that their tortures are part in some way of the Oathpath (from what they said in the prologue)

reading 10th anniversary vs the normal?
Yata replied to eszroth's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
If I don't rememeber wrong, there was a problem of where the Miss live have to be... in the new this problem was fix (but i actually don't read the new version yet) -
I am unsure, because I can't see the problem yet. If we know that in Allomancy (and also in the others Metallic Arts) the Metal's Structure is important and we may think (maybe there are also a Wob, I don't know) that Storing Attributes in a Metal change its structure (at least from a Realmatic point of view). It's indeed possible or better have to be, that two Metalminds with different charge, have different Structure and of course they didn't work in the same way when burned (it's like to have different metals... or better some variations of the same metal). After all, also with the mundane metals we see how the same mass of metal may be burned for different time. Some bead may burn for hours while other just minutes before run out. But if you want a possible realmatic reason to the proportional output of Compounding, we may also try to explain it through the "more Charge has a Metalmind, more it resist through Preservation Power before be Burned away", we know that the Metal in allomancy is a gateway-limitator to Preservation's power and if the gateway last longer.. you may drawn more Preservation.

(I will try to avoid spoiler or this topic will became just a long list of Spoiler tag XD) @hoidhunter Like Oversleep said the problem is in the first step, the one who gives..through the use of the right metal, the ability to do the everything else. Mister Sanderson said there is a trick to allow this first step and I will argue that using that trick only with others metals it possible to create Metalminds with only "tapping" avaliable (well of course there is some exception to "only tapping")

Ok Guys, it take me more time than I though but this is the WoB I talked about (source):

Sadly, it appears that Fortune is definitely NOT a Shard

Yeah but what I want to say was: if you as allomancer may drawn X amount of Investiture (AI) per second from Preservation and try to burn a Metalmind with 10*X AI you must burn for 100 seconds to obtain your 100X from compounding. Another Allomancer, for example Elend (yeah I know he can't compound..i's just for the exampe) may drawn 2X AI per second from Preservation and to burn the same Metalmind have to burn only for 50X seconds. In the end when an Allomancer burns something (Metal or Metalmind). He simply opens himself to a flow of Preservation's power using a selected gateway (Metal or Metalmind) inside of himself. The untyped Investiture through the gateway became something else (a Pushing force, a improvement of the body, or an attribute). But He still uses the same pipe to Preservation.. He can't obtain more than usual through that.

It's like I though... Preservation made Scadrial itself as part of his plan for Ruin... With enough future sight you may obtain at the first try something that elsewhere need many try and error.

It's like Eki said and also for another reason. Now the Terris bloodline has merged with the rest of population. The Feruchemy Genes and Allomancy genes don't work well together. They make some kind of Interference. This actually made possible the existence of Twinborn (but as you saw they are quite ananomaly) on other hands this has weakened the Feruchemical bloodline and this creates the Ferring. In the AoL era is quite impossible the birth of a Mistborn and (as far as we know) high unlikely a Full Feruchemist birth(I think the secon more likely just because the Terrisman have close enclave and the interbreed may be less or none in some bloodline).

Sorry Hoidhunter, but we know (via WoB) that the power from a piece of metal is constanct(the Allomantic Strenght is about "how high your burning rate is" or if you prefer about "how much of Preservation power you may drawn, and the metal will be consumed proportionately")... In the end, Allomancer like Elend was so strong because they may burn metal twice faster than an average Mistborn. The power for bead is constant but He used it in compressed time. EDIT: I forgot to actual reply to the topic. I think HoidHunter actually hits the right answer about Compounding. A Metalmind is a metal object with his whole structure actually merged with coded Investiture. It has not "part with charge" and part "without charge".. It's evenly spread. A metalmind with a FC density of 1 will be different in its structure from a Metalmind with FC density of 3 or 5. In the end the Allomancy will try to give a x10 of FC while someone burns a specific Metalmind. I wrote "try to give" because we know there is a upper limit to the Preservation's power that an allomancer may drawn in a specific time. For example: Rashek may compound Health faster than Miles, because when both of them reaches high amount of attribute, while Miles begin to be limitated by his own amount of power obtainable from Preservation, Rashek will continue to burn faster for a while before to be limitated (his immortality trick indeed will stop to work one day also with infinite Atium).

We never saw how a Shardblade cuts from the Cognitive Realm... It may cut the Physical from there as far as we know

So why exactly is Nightblood so stupendously overpowered?
Yata replied to kroen's topic in Warbreaker
To be Honest I see Nightblood and Alluminium very different in their effects...I can't find a really likeness between them -
If the metalminds are full of Investiture, Steel/Iron allomancy will no detected as metal at all. Also a Metalmind with a little of charge is hard to push/pull also if you are still able to detect it....but as the charge grows, you will in the end became uncapable to detect the metalmind as metal with Steelsight (and of course unable to push on it)
-
Or it may contain a mixture of H&C&O's Investiture, because if I don't remember wrong, we know from WoB that the Sphere has Odium's Investiture

Yeah I wanted just to notice that we may (and you provide a quote, thanks) discover if his Abilities recive and upgrade/boost from the reaction of someone who knowed him before Darkside (and Kenton said He was a better fight before). I think that also his "change" was mundane. Baon (as far as we know) is the best informed character on Darkside's Magic. I think that he have to notice some sign in Eric if he was manipulated by somekind of Darkside's Magic
-
You have right but in the end preservation alone will "spawns" only End-Positive Magic Systems. Because the Preservation's magic tries to preserve the user.... I wanted only to point how Feruchemy isn't of Preservation alone ;-)
-
It's to se from the user PoV and Energy Managment. In Allomancy you get the power from an outsider source (Preservation through metal) and in the end, you preserv your own energy. In Feruchemy you get the power from yourself (without using some Hack) and you suffer some Ruinous effect to yourself (storing) to get a surplus later (taping).

I am probably unsure about your realmatic relationships.... From books and WoB seems that the Cognitive is more a "junction" between Spiritual and Physical (like in the beautyful metaphor of the Sun and the Shadows on the Earth used to explain the Realms). Therefore I find really unlikely the existence of the Cognitive before the physical (if is possible to talk about some order of Ream's birth, I am more about Spiritual, physical and in the end Cognitive)....Confused proposed a great perspective of the Cosmere's Origin and also if you may find some parts speculations or theories... He proposed that Adonalsium as a perfect Mind may have no need to the Cognitive's Realm to contains his mind, after all the Spiritual is the realm of the perfect self and in the end Adonalsium was quite the perfection itself. EDIT: this is the topic I talked about http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/53994-the-making-of-the-cosmere-relationship-among-the-powers-of-creation-adonalsium-and-investiture/

RAFO .... I am not joking... Someone asked it and recive a RAFO -
Well the bubble doesn't change the apparent Speed of Light (the light outside travels at speed of light) and when it enter the bubble it remain of Speed of Light but to the bubble's time reference. The Frequence instead will change, because if, for example you are in a Cadmius Bubble with a x4 time difference... When the light hit the bubble, the amount of light will be "compressed in 1/4 of the time" every maxima of the wave will be pushed near in the time... in the end the frequency of the light will be fourh time the original one. (Probably I didn't use the right words, but physics in another language is quite a challenge to me XD)

It's impossible, first of all I don't think the two Sphere were the same kind of tool but mostly Honor is Splintered, you can't pick up it

As fas as I remember It's a choice of Mister Sanderson, He know that it would be red/blue shift... but someone make him notice that if the Light was influenced by the bubble, the being at its inside will burn from microwave and similar other elettrcomagnetic waves

Yeah, in the last time I began to think that Brandon tricked us all for years, at least in some series, and push us to think about what we saw as Magic System like "pure" Magic System while probably we saw Magic System+Hack. But we try to find an explaination without thinking that something may be "out of parametres" (and I think is what it's going on Sel with Aondor and Dakhor). It's at least a week that I want to write a post in Cosmere theory about, but it's University exams period to me -.-
