To me Vasher is just a little overstimated (also with Nightblood), anyway my money on Marsh. I don't know if people understimate Raoden, it's true He had the most flexible ability, but I find him lacking of the ability to react to the fighting dynamics at the right speed. In the end I am unsure of the outcome but for as i see the character we may remove: Dalinar (if we take him as warlord), Meelan and Dilaf from the winner candidates.

now I may remember wrong but we have some kind of WoB about: "An allomancer may burns any metal inside his system, but metals outside of his stomach are hard to "find as reserve" and he need skill to use it". ok now for your example, I suppose that the metal need to be "deep inside you" or if you prefer you already be stabbed before you try to burn it. In theory you will destroy the dagger, in the real life probably you will kill yourself because you burns a probably not pure iron (and for the stab of course)
-
The Steel/Iron Allomancy doesn't work with magnetism in any way therefore you can't still push pull on Alluminium
-
Yeah Szeth powerset is quite powerful but fragile if he need to keep contact with the Blade, but I am unsure Vin may push on an Honorblade so strong to make Seth (powered with Stormlight) left it (much more if he know about Allomancy and stick the Blade with his hand).

His problem was his ignorance about the Well's location, I don't think Rashek was troublesome if you are in the Cognitive, sure in the Metallic arts there is a way to worldhop but Rashek can't catch someone (he had no way to discovered a Cognitive Intruder) in the Cognitive and Hoid would steal the Lerasium pretty fast.

Therefore now we have: Metalmind= well a metalmind (amazing I know ) Unkeyed Metalmind= Metalmind Identityless that everybody with the right Feruchemical power may tap Unsealed Metalmind= Metamind Identyless and with another trick that everyone may tap. PS: I know the second one is not canon but we have not better term as far as I know

shardblade Do Shardblades provide a bonus versus Shardplate?
Yata replied to CaptainRyan's topic in Stormlight Archive
I remember "A shardblade cuts in the Cognitive, Nightblood cuts all three realms". But actually this may be meaningful or meaningles with realmatic... we see something of the Cognitive and in the Cognitive Realm is where body and soul are connected..therefore cuting in the Cognitive may damage the soul... but it's a bit complex. About the "Shardplate VS bullet" I missed that topic, but I will try to recover ;-) -
We don't know any kind of sure information about the God Beyond. We know only that his/her/its name pop up in many Shardworld (major or minor) and therefore there is a probably a common root to this knowledge. For example I think may be Adonalsium's Cognitive Shadow, but I have no proofs about. Others think that the God Beyond is an Entity Adonalsium-like who rules beyond the Cosmere like if Adonalisium was the Cosmere's Local-god. Still no proofs here. As far as we know "God Beyond" may be words to talk of Adonalsium for people who never knows his name.

Cool news about Lift as main character... I knowed about the Stormlight novella but I have to missed the Lift's information.
-
I suppose Hoid knowed quite nothing of Preservation Plan. He wanted only some chaos in the Final Empire to find the Well with less trouble from Rashek... Probable he was quite surprised when TLR died.
-
Well I agree with the "hard to Soulcast"... but now something come to my mind. An Alluminium Compounder would be the ultimate defense (or at least some sort). With the Allomantic Side he may purge any malicious Investiture in his spirit Web, while through the F-Alluminium may be an Unbreakable force on the Cognitive Side (where your Identity may be a factor aganist many assoult).

It can't be, all the events on Roshar are far more ancient than Vo's return... Vo's is quite recent event (unless Endowment thinked about for some thousands of years before come to a decision)

shardblade Do Shardblades provide a bonus versus Shardplate?
Yata replied to CaptainRyan's topic in Stormlight Archive
Now I take the problem from another direction amd just at the end I will expose my thought about. I take the problem through the In-world knowledge: If Shardblades doesn't offer any "bonus" VS Plate, in the area (unless you are a virtuos of the Blade like Adolin) everyone will use an hammer (or similar weapon), also a full Shardbearer have to prefer the use of similar weapon. But as far as we see any Full Shardbearer goes in duel with Shardblade (also guy without huge experience). This to me is quite an evidence (or at least a clue) in the "Shardblades have some kind of bonus aganist the Plates". Now my thought about: We know that a Shardblade cuts in Cognitive (not all three realm as far as I remember) and probably also if the Plate blocks it thanks to its Investiture, the Blade still "hurt" in some way (also minimal) the Cognitive Aspect of the Plate. As far as we saw that kind of damage are more "Stormlight needed" than the mondane damage to heal and this is probablythe reason of the "Shardblade bonus". PS: As far as we know the Plate are very rigid object, they are hard like hell but quite not flexible, they sustain a lot damage but when the damage begin to be too much they shattered very quickly... It's like Investiture's powered Glass (or perfect cut Gemstone), therefore I find hard to define the outcome of something so hard to imagine and far from my direct experience (have someone some pratical example of fragile object that became resilient with an outsider and constanct force ?) -
I may steal it from you to uses it in the Useless feat for Useful powers topic XD

I can't give you any kind of "official answer" but if you think about, the Terris Prophecies was very ancient and they spoke of Sazed... Therefore Preservation has "saw" at least the end of the final empire. We may uses the same method to get an answer for Vin. Now I want to add some of my though and speculation: Preservation using the prophecies and the mist manage to "correct" the events when they go outside of his masterplan. His future sight wasn't perfect and he probably saw many scenarios. He put an effort to avoid or edit the events to get to his "ending"... Maybe some event may be go in two or three way and still reach his wanted epilogue. Of course thinking of Future sight and quite-all mighty may be confusing but imagine to see a path and some possible obstacles, you may program your journey to avoid this obstacle or develops some counter (that maybe aren't needed).
-
Well if you read all the trilogy, I suppose I may explain the concept better: Probably the Spoiler tag aren't needed but they can't do any harm Some spoiler from Mistborn Trilogy and Secret History

If I rememeber right Brandon said (its a 2016 WoB but I don't remember where he is) that we have three mayor Magic System on Roshar and the Voidbinding is the only one we didn't see yet. The other two have to be Surgebinding and Fabrial
-
For the nature of Surgebinding I don't think that Conncection is something meaningful to obtain or use that kind of abilities.

Eagles talked about the existence of Atium and Malatium Misting... that can't "naturally" born because Atium and Malatium as God Metal aren't part of Allomantic Metals (are quite a Metallic Art Hacks for Magic user that can interact with every metals). He said "changed te table" becuse Preservation tried to keep the "Hidden message" of the humber 16 in the Allomancy as a clue to the Human, therefore He "add" two new kinds of misting because other 2 kinds (cadmius and bendalloy) will be untrackable (because the cadmius need more advanced tech to be mined)
-
Somewhere there is a WoB about how "Allumin in the right circumstance may drain a Metalmind" (actually we don't know how, but just that it can be do), I don't know if the same method may be used with a Spike. In another WoB, Mister Sanderson made a distinction between "type" of Investiture, He said "Nightblood may drain any kind of Cinetics Investiture", probably is the same difference between consume "raw Investiture" and "Spirit-Web" maybe the Chromium and Allumin may cancel the first but not the second (A Mistborn may be kill himself by Alluminium+Duralluminium if the Soul is something targettable)
-
The Alluminium is quite rarer than gold without modern tech (with our tech is pretty common to find), I don't think someone manage to make some metallurgy with it so easly (outside of Scadrial were metals give powers)

In my post I talk about how the Medallion as Technology was less flexible than the Hemalurgy, not weaker or worst. I like the medallions a lot, but I think there are problems that nobody though still. For example: - A guy may "destroy" a medallion just with a touch (tapping all the Investiture) - The Medallion Tech need an uncommon base to start (being a Full Feruchemist or more) the production. Of course if everything goes fine we have no problem but imagine to lose the Excisitors & Bands. I see the Medallions as a powerful but fragile tools

Do we know if Rashek began the creation of Inquisitors in the first times of his Empire ? Because maybe he waited until the Allomancer can't control an Inquisitor with copper and in the end in the first centuries of TFE there are too few Allomancer to create Inquisitors.
