Yeah the Mist's Overpowered Snapping.... But in the end this will count as "external factor" in the post I thought He talked about as a natural Magic Cycle of the metallic arts
-
In the Cosmere every being is an overlapping of three Aspect Physical, Cognitive and Spiritual. This in the end made the thing slight different (and in the end also in the real world if something like the "soul" is a real thing) and also the beheading would not interfere with thought... or to lose your whole body at all. It's a strange loop: You die when your physical aspect collects too much damage and when happen your connection to the physical is cut off, but you have still Cognitive and Spiritual (and you are still capable of thinking). But ehi... A Bloodmaker while tapping Healing can't die. Therefore he may be killed if he try to tap healing as answer to a fatal hit (if he isn't fast enough) but He can't die if He tapped Healing before (or fast enough) until the Healing run off. As example rememeber that TLR survived Beheading and bein burned to the bones... and TLR used exactly the same Miles trick to be "Immortal"... If Someone with a knife (or bullet) may kill him easy... He would not be so arrogant.
-
Well We know the Soul "knows" how old you are because it has Connection to your birthplace, and it's the reason for TLR death when Atiummind were removed.... There was a great difference from "how he have to be" and "how he is"... and the Soul try to recover the gap (in the end killing it, but well Life Sucks XD). In a extended WoB (the one about the Atium Compounding), Mister Sanderson said that Rashek could use a better "Immortality trick" if he manage to play with his Connection with his birthplace. (Now I will began to find that WoB to post it here) EDIT: Ok I am more fast than I thought (I bolded the interesting part)
-
Ok I understand what you said but while a Bloodmaker taps Healing it can't die until he has Healing (also if you cut his head or extreme cases) therefore the bullet would remain in the body and the Ferring will keep expend healing to stay alive, but this don't prevent him from keep tapping his Goldmind... No bullet or hit may stop a Ferring from tapping once he began

Interferes and stops are two different things... You may see for example how the Alluminium works quite well in Allomancy (clean the user), Feruchemy (store Identity) and Hemalurgy ( Steal something). At the moment we don't know because the Allumium is weird and therefore we can't make a "model" to decide what kind of interference may creates in the many possible situations

Just two points... The Southtern will probably began to mix with Northern is true, but this wuold only improve their Magic potential... I see no problem there, they don't lose anything. Another thing is for the Spike's decay, we have already saw there is a way to stop the decay and it's easy to perform without any contros. PS: A third point that I forgot before, also with a weakest Spike... with enough time and compound you may generate quite infinite Feruchemical Charge EDIT: Khyrindor was faster than me
-
Well there is always Hemalurgy... and in the end the Southern have the "standard" number of Metalborn without any upgrade through external factor. They will not lose their number from bloodline mixing. And with some attention they may manage to extend their Magic technology quite forever. The Magic would be rarer but I don't think it would never go away forever... remember that just a single Anomaly (a Metalborn) would then propagate his own heritage better than an average Scadrial.
-
As far as I remember, Alluminium doesn't stop Feruchemical Gold, just slow the process (or consumes more Healing I am unsure) and in Miles case, it would be meaningless with quite infinite Healing

Sorry I have misread your post

Well Master_Moridin said there is a WoB about a double powered Spike, therefore I was wrong. But to me a Metalmind and a Spike are two very different things... A metalmind is quite raw Investiture (with some flavour but in the end there isn't any ... "functional part"), a Spike contains a piece of SpiritWeb a precise structure of Connections. In my mind simply overlapping two Spiritwebs didn't create a better SpiritWeb (yeah I know that Moridin's WoB made cleat that I am wrong about this point).
-
I don't think the Spike will stack power in that way... I don't think there is a lot of interference but in the end in that Spike you will find two "set" of Spirit Web with Iron Allomancy. Just one of them may be implanted in a specific portion of your Spirit Web. Anyway if this would be possible, with a single Atium Spike you may (in theory) collect every 32 Metallic Arts's power in a single Spike (One Spike to rule them all)... Something tell me that this thing is impossible but at the moment I can't say why without going in a "Spoiler zone"
-
Yeah I talked about gifting powers with Hemalurgy...I am sorry to have made my answer unclear
-
Well I don't know if you may put more Spikes in the same point at the same time, but in the end you may simply choose another Bindpoint for the same power and Spike there... you will get twice the power. You may use as metalmind a Spike (because Hemalurgy it's a low Investiture System and the Spike don't mess too much with the Feruchemical charge. Probably you may trasform a Metalmind in a Spike but if there is a lot of Feruchemical charge this may create some problem to the Spike creation.

Can you become Savant by burning Feruchemical charged metals?
Yata replied to shadowwisp's topic in Mistborn
But maybe the Feruchemical charge is more "compatible" (from its origin as Human's Investiture) with the user and will no change your anatomy. Something like be exposed to a foreign effect VS your own biological (or Cognitive/Spiritual) function. -
Incomplete Shaod and How Elantrians Are Initiated
Yata replied to Blightsong's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Do You propose that while a Standard Shard (in the Spiritual) may be Connected with users everywhere, a Shard in the Cognitive (what the Dor is) have to be Bonded with the users ? With the limitation we know. Something like the need of different kind of "link" from different pair of Realm's Interaction. -
Yeah in the end, you will not gain more youth then the one you previously Stored. But there is a better way to gain immortality (at least from old age)... You have to be a Connector, a Ferring that may Store and Tap Connections ( if i remember right it's Duralluminium) and you have to store your Connection from your Birthplace/time and tap it to Connect you with a more "recent time". This would give to you a way to extend your lifespan without the exponentian grow of Metal needed. This (at least in Theory) would give you the true "ageless" instead with the Atium compound one day your ability to generate Youth will be overcome by the Youth needed.

I quoted your message and answered in the right places.

And he creates a whole economy based on something with he has the only source in the world.
-
@Magestar The you may probably Spike a couple of powers from someone if the victim survive the first one (it's unlikely to survive the Spiking but possible) About bindpoints.... the Humanbody have something like 300 bindpoints and many may work with the same thing... therefore Allomantic pewter may be gifted in many places and stole in many places of the body.

Incomplete Shaod and How Elantrians Are Initiated
Yata replied to Blightsong's topic in Cosmere Discussion
It's a nice catch but a "bond" it's a symbiotic relationship between two beings one with average Investiture (and an Human is in this definition) and a High-Invested Being.... But the land it's not a being and therefore it can't be a bond -
How exactly is the True Desolation different from previous ones
Yata replied to Arcoss's topic in Stormlight Archive
Probably the Listener always needed the Stormlight (or a massive Source of Investiture) to bond a Spren in ancient time like today. -
I thought about that for the whole night and the only likely explaination is the same of King of nowhere's one or Sanderson's error.
-
yes and in the same way Shallash the Herald of beauty now destroy art and (possibly) Ishar from devoted became a "false god" (of course if the theory about him in Axis's pov is true).
-
I don't think that Nightblood give (on Roshar) any Surges related power... It doesn't give to you the Surgebinding ability. Something else based on its nature. In the same way the Seon's bond will probably give to you some Devotion related power on roshar
