  1. The Excisor may be what I called "Alpha Medallions" of more simply Medallions with F-Alluminium and F-Nicrosil. With maybe some Medallion with a single power to have some "sample". @Nyali: I don't understand if a Alluminium Ferring store his Identity in a Metalmind, what is "the rest" who may store elsewhere ? Edit: I undertood what you want to say, but your method doesn't work. If you pass an Unkeyed AllumiuniumMind to a Soulbearer and the Soulbearer fill a NicrosilMind with his own power. You will have an object of Nicrosil-Alluminium that every A-Ferring may tap Identity but only the original Nicrosil Ferring may tap Investiture. Because the Nicrosil Ferring can't store identity to create an unkeyed NicrosilMind
  2. here It was posted in the fifth post of this topic ;-)
  3. Well we saw this... The Bands are actually Medallions with 32 Metallic Powers.
  4. Actually to create a medallion you need F-Nicrosil, F-Alluminium and every powers you want to put in the medallion. But probably you may use another medalion to provide yourself with the needed powers, for example a Medalion with F-Nicrosil (well every medallion have this) and F-Alluminium. With this "Alpha Medallion" a Coinshooter may in theory create another medallion with A-Steal powers. The "limit" we saw with the Medallion's power are probably caused by some Interference between Spiritweb from different Sources.
  5. I am unsure about the last part. It's probably more easy to break Ruin from Preservation than break omogeneus Splinter of Harmony.... Of course I have no proof but I think it need something like a Divine Surgery to create Harmony Splinter. As far as we saw also if Ruin and Preservation are connected now... Sazed used them as separate sources of power,
  6. Maybe "being rippen apart by the ravaging Dor" it's quite a hard way to leave Sel. Much more in Elantris after the Reod, because the Dor concentrated there have no release before the fix of city.
  7. I am not a huge fan of "raise between the Shardpools" as Feruchemy's Origin. After all after Rashek's Ascension the relative position of the Shardpools didn't change... they are still pretty near... and after 1000 years nobody began to develop Feruchemy. The Nobles are quite resistant to this, but Ska are fertile terrain for magic.
  8. In Hemalurgy (like in the other Metallic Arts) the Metal's structure is very important. I imagine you can't change too the material of a possible Spike without ruins the ability of that metal to become a Spike
  9. Probably you have right about the better way to prove a theory. I am still unsure that they can't simply have another kind of issues (for example not knowing yet about Medallion's tech, or worldhopping problem) but of course I can't be sure of that. I have just a single (and maybe wrong) clue about Medallions' tech usable by everyone but it's from source that be posted here (as far as I know)
  10. They have Firemothers and Firefathers to produce Heat (maybe by Compounding for the whole comunity). I have the impression that they use Medallions as primary way to heat themself.... It's possible that quite all Medallion with some little exceptions have F-Heat. @Pathfinder: Maybe it's not extreme difficult but was easier to ask to Wax. Or maybe there are some WorldHopping relate problems that made go to South, steal and return hard to them.
  11. But maybe not in the same Medallion. Quite every Medallion contain Heat and another Power. Medallions with three power are extremely rare. It may be really hard to Khriss find a way to get one of them... more easy to meet Wax and simply ask him
  12. As far as we saw, the Southern have not mixed Allomancy-Feruchemy Medallions or if that combination of Powers is bein produced by the Southern And we don't know if Nazh and Khriss have the knowledge of Southern at all.
  13. you have right.. this "WoP" may be read in different ways: - I don't know - They can't burn other metals, I am not even sure they can burn a bad alloy of their metal. Of course I builded my theory on the second interpretation that of course may be wrong. But I have to say the theory of a Unsafe Allomancy, predate the Question. Some clue in the books made me think in this way and this push me to ask that to Peter.
  14. Sorry I misread your point about Awakening Anyway we don't have any evidence about a Preservation keyed Soul needed to use Medallion technology. Well we may have some kind of evidence about "everyone may use it" but it's just a theory and probably this is the wrong subforum to post it.
  15. @Nyali Also with Medallions you may do your dirty things... after all if a Nalthis guy has a Nicrosil Medallion.. He may store his Investiture Inside and give to someone of (for example) Sel, a way to awake things. PS: The Breath aren't stealable with Hemalurgy, but probably if you Spike the Owner you have enough Idendity to claim them from an Object where the owner store them.
  16. We have a couple of WoB (but now I have not time to search) that say that a perfect cut gemstone doesn't lose Stormlight and that also that gemstone will Glow because the Glow isn't related to the Stormlight leaking out. Like you said a bigger gemstone may keep more Stormlight, and probably the lost can't grow more faster than his storage capacity... much more if the lost is something "imperfection related"... it's possible that a bigger gemstone may have less than a proportional number of imperfection in his structure.
  17. Probably there are Spren there too... just invisible like in the rest of Cosmere.
  18. If this answer came from before WoR release. It's possible that He talked of KR and Surgebinder as synonimus, because we did't know about Honorblades.
  19. There is a WoB about Splinter with of whole Shard (for example on Nalthis) and Splinter of a Splintered Shard. They are both possible but in the first case, it's like to be an "indipendent part" of an organism (they are not the words used by Mister Sanderson). Probably Honor made some Splinters by his own power but now all his power became Splinters. This is the reason of the growning number of Spren after Honor's Death.
  20. Well, I don't think the Stormfather inherit a meaningfull part of Honor's Power... After all He is just the Merging of a pre-existence Spen (Rider of the Storm) and Tanavast's Shadow. But Tanavast's Shadow as fas as we know was just a standard Cognitive Shadow of a Sliver. The same thing we saw with: Mistborn Spoiler:
  21. Yes he was an halfblood but his father was a top tier Sand Master (also between the Mastrell)... There are people on Dayside with less compatible with Sand Mastery than Kenton
  22. Of course we have to see the DarkSide Magic yet but maybe Kenton may develop a "perk" from the mixing of Dayside and Darkside Magic. Of course we have no proof of Kenton be able to access DarkSide Magic...but in the end he would be Connected enough to be lowest tier Darkside's Magic User
  23. Wait, Leras was alive in the first Trilogy. He sacrificed his own mind to keep Ruin and He was deadly injured (probably) from Ruin counterattack but He would manage to survive for thousands of years with that wound before die. SH Spoiler: In the end Leras actually died only in HoA on-screen where is corpse dropped from the Sky, before that moment Leras as full Human Being (with some cognitive deficit) was the Preservation's Vessel.
  24. You have right, but also the "uncommon" condition of Dayside made possible just a couple of Plant-life form possible, this may be the cause of the Sand Mastery as Dayside only magic. I think on Darkside there are more "magic Plants" because they may rise a lot of different species. But of course the "plants" may be a trick and in the end as photosyntesis being may be really the light they feed the key-part
  25. The previous post is from the far 2014... Both Shadow of Self and BoM weren't released then.
