  1. He thought they'd come and fetch it. And they do have two Honorblades that provide Transportation. Plus an Oathgate. That they could use said blades to unlock both ends of.
  2. Perpendicularities are not neceserily tied to shardpools. The planet with the shades has them and no shardpool. Or if the perpendicularity is involved with the Oathgates it could well be said to move, being simultaneously in Uirithru and the Dawncity at the other end of the gate. While Brandon suggested they were involved with the Highstorms he didn't actually confirm it. But he did confirm they could be made artificially. That was teh same session as the one that suggested Honor's shardpool might have soemthing to do with the Highstorm. But if you want another way to get to the right state apparently the Heralds didn't need stormlight to use surges via the Honorblades because they directly connected the wielder to Honor. Which suggests the Heraldblades can make the wielder a Splinter. And we don't know when the Shin got the Honorblades. Or which order didn't disband. If it was the Stonewards that would be suggestive that they became the Stone Shamen. The Skybreakers after all could have been refounded recently, since we've no evidence of their operations as opposed to Nalan predating Gavrilar's death.
  3. Cultivation's Shardpool In the Horneaters Mountains that Hoid uses to worldhop? The never exhaustible well in Urithiru, the place closet to Honor? The Origin?
  4. Rashek did something similar. That they never have been before IIRC.
  5. They are still bound to the first Oath. Which I suspect is Ishar's doing.
  6. At least three of the four of the Dawn Cities Kabsal had cymatic patterns for have Oathgates. We don't know about Akina yet. And Jashnah asked if he had a pattern for Uirithiru.
  7. I'm wondering between unscratchable rock and Shallans problems drawing Urithru if like Lift it isn't partially in the Cognitive Realm. Or it's just a side effect of how they built the place and the Dawncities using some massive cymatic effect.
  8. I agree, I suspect Kaladin would do Shallash no end of good. She's apparently been thinking about becoming one of the Knight's Radient and he could probably break her out of her self destructive cycle and reignite the champion of humanity she used to be. She also has the advantage of not being in love with and engaged to one of his closest friends. And she's presumably got enough experience to help him in return. Shallan less so. Especially since having accepted that he and Laral aren't a thing and surrendering, he's more likely to be spending time with Liss (They are heading for Kholinar) or Eshonai (he's been captured by "voidbringers") in the near future than Shallan. That leaves out the occasionally mentioned buit undescribed Tara he appears to have had feelings for.
  9. The projectile is sapient and can change its form. Which rather suggests it can provide active terminal guidance or change shape after impact. Especially for Honorspren who do the flying around changing shape thing a lot. Or for Cryptics who can presumably transform to a godmetal version of their usual form and become a vorpal disassembler bushbot.
  10. I thought that was Dr Dinosaur.
  11. Mraize thinks Tezim is an offworlder. And the offworlder most likely to be doing that is Kelsier. And of course everyone you suggested might be Vivena could equally well be Me'Laan or Paalm or Khris or Ashlynn.
  12. My current thought is that Odium's trying to recruit Zahel or possibly Szeth for the role. Nightbringer after all is the only known black shardblade.
  13. But the unscheduled Highstorm did contain stormlight so I doubt there is going to be less of it. I'm wondering about the way it unlocked the parshman's ability to form change, Zahel does have certain metaphysical issues due to being returned beyond the need for investature that the Everstorm could have effected like for example binding him to the Oathpact as an eleventh Herald. Or he could have sucked down Odium investature and followed Marsh and Eshonai into involuntary minionhood.
  14. I wasn't aware Zahel had married the Stormfather. Plus I'm not sure the Alethi are up for polyandry. It would provide that gay relationship that Sanderson has suggested is going on in the background in theStormlight Archive though.
  15. We've never seen her and Lopen in the same place. So obviously she's going to be the Princess he impresses by Glowing and Flying.
  16. How much of that was because Vasher thought Nightblood was a tool that couldn't change verses Szeth who is more treating Nightblood as someone to talk to as an equal.
  17. Except apparently Nohandon. Who claimed to have walked there from Abamabar in the 8th parable from The Way of Kings.
  18. We manage with non continuous stone. C.f. any medieval cathedral. St Paul's has a 30m unsupported span on the stone dome, which is your dozens of meters. The builders here had soulcasters (Elsecallers and Lightweavers even if they didn't have the devices) which makes for nice one piece continuous stone arches. And they probably started with a mountain and carved away, by turning it into smoke or air, the bits they didn't want rather than building it.
  19. I'm not sure a society with electric arc furnaces is still in the steam age. Since they also have ceramic bullets (The Hazekiller rounds), I'd suspect the aluminum bullets have a ceramic coating or sabot.
  20. Someone who has sent out lots of tiny spy cremlings so they don't need to be visible.
  21. We know the Radients did carry Large Gems around from the scene where Heb (or Dalinar) is healed after fighting the Midnight Essences. So it isn't unreasonable that thier armour had a few for emergencies.
  22. I thought the requiring Gems to work thing was a post Recreance thing like the gems needed to enable bonding to deadspren Shardblades. PreRecreance the users could usually supply the Stormlight directly and the gem slots were presumable just a power reserve.
  23. He died leading Sebareal's army near the end of Words of Radience. At the time he had both Blade and Plate that Adolin gave him. Before that he was the one who was guarding Rlain while they were still suspicious of him.
  24. Jasnah and Shallan would have noticed if that happened.
  25. Western tradition that's appropriate for widows and other non-virgins. White is for virgins. Asian its pretty standard since white is the color of death and/or red the color of happiness. Traditional Chinese wedding dresses are red. Syl can make herself visable. She did it to various members of Bridge 4 back when they were collecting the plants to make anasthetics.
