  1. Since its in the Daily Mail it is probably not worth the electrons it was printed on. The Daily Mail has slightly less respect for scientific rigour than it does interracial harmony. c.f its ongoing campaign to divide the entire world into things that cause or cure cancer. The Daily Mail likes clickbait.
  2. He did say Soulcast Iron would work, though soul casting the right alloy of Steel would be more difficult/

    Destroy Evil

Vasher was at the time IIRC Returned. Which means he has a perfectly good reason for thinking he'd be fighting evil. We don't know why he and the other Sages were Returned but war against Odium is at least a possibility.
  4. Wasn't he part of the great escape? So we don't know if he is dead.
  5. Kandra first generation, would be my thought. Also the WoB about awakening someones body with their Breath.
  6. Navani's notes also include the Painknife.
  7. The relevant verse implied scholar form wasn't innocuous. “Scholarform shown for patience and thought. Beware its ambitions innate. Though study and diligence bring the reward, Loss of innocence may be one's fate.” —69th stanza of the Song of Listing[
  8. Presumably the Recreance could have a spren and you could date that.
  9. They don't in other ways. Kaladin describes them as having a definate bias towards encouraging people to become soldiers in preparation for the war in the afterlife to reclaim the Tranquiline Halls. Vorinism is a militaristic religion.
  10. The description of the soulcasting ardents perhaps? He actually notices that much of his combat skills are magic rather than skill. It appears for him at least enhancement of skill is a side effect of his bond. Incidently Kaladin mentions there being at the minimum prejudice against red eyed people, in the conversation about the bridgeman with the dark violet eyes.
  11. That's exactly why it's a good comparison. Samurai Radient would have bows. Knights on the other hand didn't in general use them. Bows are more a Yeoman sort of thing. And the powered bow Sadeas was using in the first book never gets mentioned in the second.
  12. Because Kelsier has the God who's been keeping his brother supplied with the stuff as a friend. The God that would be the one sending him back to life for the fight. And because Kelsier had the stuff available for all of his serious fights.
  13. Because they are the Knights Radient. Not the Samurai Radient or the Deghan Radient.
  14. Except for Lift. And based on what happened at the end of the last book Dalinar may be able to arrange sudden unexpected highstorms. Kelsier has the advantage of being a Sliver and if he's back to face Kaladin, then he's basically also a Herald and supplied with atium. And knows how to use a] his powers (including the one that flushes investment out of people.) and b] is good at lying and ambushes.
  15. IIRC We have WoB that soulcasting can produce standard allomantic metals. Though some are difficult.
  16. We do have new information though. We now know Knights Radient have to have something very similar, if not identical to Snapping happen to them. They need cracks for the spen to fit into.
  17. Since Rysn and Axies have been in interludes in both the first two books, I'd expect them to be in book 3. IIRC Geranid is also in the Reshi Isles and has possible reasons for meeting either of them. Szeth presumably won't get interludes since it is his book.
  18. "Taking the Dawnshard, known to bind any creature voidish or mortal, he crawled up the steps crafted for Heralds, ten strides tall apiece, toward the grand temple above." Provides a possible mechanism by which the Bond spren were deliberately changed from what they were. If so one may presume Nohandon bound them to the first ideal.
  19. Not all the Champions in Mistborn knew. But they were chosen by the shard rather than being a matter of the most appropriate person automatically being Champion. Ruin didn't let his champions know since they tended to be against the idea, he did like choosing his enemies as his champions. At the moment it's looking like it might be Adolin. I'm currently thinking Taravangian or Szeth, with Taln as an outside chance.
  20. Perhaps this isn't Taln. Perhaps in the same manner the Stormfather is the Spren of the Almighty, their is a spren of each of the Heralds. More worryingly perhaps the Heralds are bonded to the spren of themself, the same way Vasher is bonded to a Divine breath or the Parshendi are bonded to their formspren. Of course that might explain why they are going bonkers. Their Spren are reflecting humanities view of the Heralds into their minds.
  21. Sylphrena and Elhokar taken together implies those were Odiumspren. Elhokar says they disappear around Kaladin and Sylphrena reports running off Odiumspren. Where as the only Cryptic she mentions having seen is Pattern. So he may have been in line to become a Voidbinder...
  22. Syl mentioned she thought there were what is implied to be voidspren around that were avoiding her. Pattern while being insulting suggests that you can see voidspren in mirrors. So it is just possible that Odium's trying to recruit Elokhar as a voidbinder.
  23. Hating lighteyes on principle is no better than the other way around. Hopefully Kaladin will glow out of that.
