  1. Hey, sorry for not being around much this Turn, I just haven't had any time to get on today. I should be around later tonight though. Anyways, since the Night is almost over, the one big thing that I got from Arinian's lynch is that my suspicion of PK is stronger now, because he was throwing suspicion on me and Arinian for our votes of Ecthelion(I know Arin's wasn't the most logical vote, but the fact that he grouped us both as suspicious seemed weird to me). I'll try to do a more in depth analysis of the voting when I get on again(assuming I'm alive >>).
  2. I believe it was that we could have a public vote for who would be scanned, so that the targets wouldn't use Cytonics and kill our scanner(s). Even if the elims killed the target, if there were any times that they didn't kill the target, it could be very telling.
  3. That was interesting. I'm not exactly sure what to take from that. I have some thoughts on all of this, but I'm not sure I want to post them right away. If the Aliens know who all we suspect/trust, it'll be easier for them to avoid getting killed by our Cytonics. I'll probably still post my reads, but closer to rollover to give them less time to plan(assuming I can be on then, but we'll see). The UIB being an alignment scanner is huge, and I think randuir's plan about a public vote might be a good way to go to protect them from being killed by Cytonics. I'd still like to look back over everyone's strategy ideas, but I think this one is the most pressing topic, so when I get around to talking strategy, I'll probably focus on that. In the mean time, what are everyone else's thoughts on this plan?
  4. Because PK is voting on Arinian C1, and it's a serious vote in the middle of they Day. Eliminators don't tend to bus teammates that early. SART! What happens with tied lynches??? @Sart Edit: Oh. Missed Drake's vote...nevermind.
  5. Well, I do kind of feel like Yitzi is village, but I really don't like last minute changes. >> My biggest suspicion is PK at the moment, and if he's an eliminator, then I don't think Arinian would be too. And now there's 3 votes on Arinian and 3 on Yitzi. Do we know what happens with a tie?
  6. The plan kind of hinged on the fact that the UIB Agent might scan alignment, because Sart listed "Alien" as a role. I initially thought the UIB Agent just scanned roles and not alignment, but Alien is listed in the roles section, so I'm not sure. We're waiting to hear from Sart about that.
  7. Adding a second vote to someone was the point of my vote, to get everyone serious about lynching someone. I try to ask questions or give the player I'm voting on something to respond to so that I, or anyone else who voted on the player can have something new to reevaluate once the player responds, instead of the accused player just reacting to the votes on them(which don't usually have much reasoning to react to this early). And I never said it probably wouldn't hurt him. I just didn't think he'd be lynched simply because I added a second vote on him. Yeah, I noticed that about Yitzi. I'm not sure if it's alignment indicative, but it is kind of odd. Typically, I'd expect a player to defend themselves and try to find an alternate candidate for the lynch, regardless of which side they're on. But he hasn't mentioned suspicions or anything like that. >> @Yitzi2, do you have any suspicions or players you think are village?
  8. I think of typical poke votes as "hey you, are you around?" which aren't very helpful. In this instance, I was hoping to put some actual pressure on someone with my vote, so I picked someone who already had a vote on them. Someone getting a second vote on them tends to help the lynch discussion get going a lot better too. I'm not sure what you think was suspicious about the vote, since I gave Ecth more than enough time to respond, and it's not like people are gonna pile on to Ecth on C1 when he hasn't said any game discussion. Well, Arinian did vote on Ecth, which was kinda weird, but whatever. Anyways, my vote was less about the target and more about helping the lynch discussion along. If Ecth happened to be an Alien, then maybe the vote would get some reactions that could help us. Uhh, "so many people?" 2 players voted on Ecth, so that's a bit of an exaggeration. Arinian's vote on Ecth was kinda weird, but mine was pretty passive. It wasn't much of an "attack." As far as reasons to vote on Ecth, well, he hasn't contributed to discussion. I think that's good enough reason(but like I said above, people won't usually pile on during C1 because of this). That's not to say I think we should lynch him, because it is true that he's died C1 a few times, and I know that sucks, but I do find your defense of Ecth/attack of me and Arinian kind of strange. I'll go ahead and remove my vote, although I'd still like to hear from Ecth. As for Yitzi, I haven't read over the plans as extensively as I would have liked to, but I still hold to the idea that villagers tend to be the ones who put forward flawed plans much more often than eliminators. The only thing I've seen from him that I'd consider suspicious is that he hasn't really talked about the lynch at all, which is the thing that's ultimately going to decide who wins this game. But I don't know if I'd want to lynch him over that. Mostly for the post I just quoted, I'm gonna put my vote on PK. His strong defense of Ecth seems weird(like he knows his alignment maybe?), and I don't like how he cast suspicion on me and Arin(because I know I'm village and I don't like it when players lump multiple players from a group as suspicious). I'll read over the strategy posts better in a while. I just wanted to get my lynch discussion stuff up as early as possible.
  9. Okay, well, so far, it looks like PK and Yitzi are the top suspects. Personally, I'm not terribly suspicious of either. PK has posted quite a few times, which helps discussion, and Yitzi made a less than stellar plan. In my experience, villagers voice bad plans more often than eliminators, since eliminators want to make sure their plans are good(though not too good ) to get credibility and trust from the village. Also, I noticed Brightness' question about Soldiers. The way I read it, the Soldier targets someone during the Night, and then if that player votes to lynch them, they die. So it's a bit of a shot in the dark, unless that player has been constantly voicing suspicion of the Soldier or something. Anyways, I'm gonna put my vote on Ecthelion, since he hasn't really posted any actual game thoughts yet. What are your thoughts on the mechanics for this game? I'd also like to hear if you've got any opinions about PK or Yitzi. Vote tally: Ecthelion(2): PK, Lopen Brightness(1): Seonid Yitzi(1): Brightness
  10. Yeah, I was thinking of the collaboration. That was great. I kind of want to read over that whole game now, haha.
  11. For the most part, I think the UIB Agent is the only role that'll be used early that could be killed by Cytonics. Firebrand and the PC operator will both probably wait to use their power until they are needed more(and there's more information). So, yeah, everyone using Cytonics probably isn't too much of a risk right now. I doubt we'll actually block the elim kill since Cytonics is player specific, but it couldn't hurt. I tried to think of some public strategy we could use to try and use Cytonics to our advantage, but the only thing I've thought of is everyone targeting one player so we can rule them out as having made the elim kill, but that gives the elims free reign to kill without giving us much useful information. So I don't think that'll work. Seonid, I think you missed this post. Darn, ninja'd by Drake. Guess I shouldn't take so long to post. >> @Bridge Boy, PM's are not allowed. Sart clarified that during signups. @Jondesu, I see you around. Have any thoughts on the game? Any idea's for using Cytonics? Same question to @asterion137, since I see you've been online recently as well, but you haven't posted. This is a QF people, so we need you to just throw out your thoughts when you've got the time! Also, to those who've only RP'd so far, don't forget to contribute to discussion as well. I'll forgo a poke vote and will probably put an actual vote down once more players have posted actual game discussion.
  12. I'll join as Kliff, a coward who somehow got roped into helping with the barricade. Looking forward to this! If anyone wants more Les Mis parodies, go read LG14. There's a great one in there(maybe more than one? I can't remember ).
  13. I think El covered most everything in her post, so I don't have much to say really, but I had a blast running this game with El and Drought, and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did! Thanks for playing! And to those who were subjected to my dice, especially Wilson, sorry about that.
  14. The Turn, and the game, is over! The Aftermath will be posted tomorrow, so keep a look out!
  15. I'll review things once the Night is over. But I don't think it's tunneling to stand by your suspicions when no new information has come up. I guess your responses have made me a little less suspicious of you though.
  16. I'm not sure if you can read me better than anyone... Ehhh, I can't really put my finger on it, but from what I can remember, your posts just seem similar to your posts in that game. You were like "I'm not sure if I should vote on PK" and then you voted on him once the lynch on him was basically decided and said "hope we just got lucky!" which just seemed off to me somehow. Plus it seemed like you overplayed the "I don't understand why the elims wouldn't kill anyone" thing, like you were trying to use that as an excuse for why you were wrong about PK.
  17. Right. I'd forgotten about your vote on Stick. Well, it was more that your hesitancy seemed really similar to the evil game than the village game I played with you. I was GM in the LG, so I didn't really pay attention to things like that. Sure, you'd try to change tactics, but you might have slipped into the same thought processes you had before. Yeah, I just mentioned it again since in case someone missed it earlier.
  18. Ah, okay then. I think that you should keep whether you're using your last vial a secret. Now that we know for sure there's another Metallurgist, you'll probably be a top priority kill for the elims(if you're village, which I think you are). As for others, yes, we do need to order vials even if it's not our powers to keep us supplied. Between Copper and Brass, I think both are pretty equally useful, so just flip a coin? I've got a village read you too. Here's all of my reads so far. Of course, it's early yet, so I'm not really confident in all of these, but I thought I'd post them anyways. Village reads: Flash - I think I mentioned the things that gave me a village read on him already. Yitzi - not a strong read, and not based on anything specific. Stick - I keep going back and forth, tbh. Her defenses last Turn made me lean village, but a couple things she's said have seemed fishy, as I mentioned. Jondesu - has been posting quite a lot, which makes me lean village, since I think he'd be a little less involved as an eliminator, and most of his posts seem villagery. Orlok - claimed Captain. I could see the whole thing with the no kill and then going after PK and then publicly claiming to be a ploy, but unless I see something to make me think that's actually what happened, I'm leaning vilalge. Striker - basically just gut. Cluny - mixed feelings, but leaning village right now. Elim reads: Elenion - The Spikes thing isn't really an issue at this point, but I didn't like his reasoning for suspecting me or Cluny(I know I'm village and I'm leaning village for Cluny). Tbh, I don't feel like him and Brightness would both be elims though, since Len said he had a village read on Brightness last Turn and now Brightness just pointed out the rule clarification about the Spikes. I think she'd have let him point that out if they were elims together, since she wouldn't want to connect them both. Araris - Just a gut feeling. Meta - Mostly for the lack of a kill on Night 0, and then him helping lynch PK Day 1. I think the lack of a kill on N0 was intentional, and once PK got detained, Meta saw a chance to take advantage of the opportunity that not making a kill gave him. It's pretty thin, but enough to make me lean elim for him. Brightness - I know she's playing 2 games at once, and I know how that can be pretty difficult, but she's voted really late in both Cycles so far, which is similar to what she did in the game we were evil together. And she didn't seem to notice the lack of a kill on N0. Sart - I've been going back and forth on him, but something about his posts just seems off to me. That leaves these players in a category of "no idea, need more information" - HH, Manukos, Ecthelion, PK, cloudjumper, and Drought.
  19. Well that's disappointing. I'm not sure what to take from that. :/ I'm still mildly suspicious of Brightness and Elenion. Probably Elenion more than Brightness at this point, considering the thing about elims getting spikes off of their victims, and his strange reasoning for voting on me.
  20. You mean removed from the game? >> And, that's very interesting. Makes me even more wary of Elenion, tbh, since he seemed to know about that even though it's not really stated anywhere in the rules(that I noticed). Seems more like something an eliminator would know than a villager.
  21. I wouldn't think that... I can see your and Yitzi's point, but I feel differently about it. Here's another defense of Cluny I suppose - if you thought you were about to be lynched, would you really worry about being killed off by the eliminators? Eliminators almost always leave suspicious villagers alive to distract the village. I didn't realize eliminators got items off of the dead? @Seonid, do the Venture Agents get the items of their victims? Spikes? Vials? Both? Here's a vote tally: Cluny(2): Flash, Jondesu, Ecth, Sart Stick(2): Lopen, Dalinar, Brightness Dalinar(3): Stick, Jondesu, HH Brightness(1): Araris Orlok(1): Yitzi, Striker Lopen(1): Elenion I kind of like how close the votes are. Between the top 3 candidates, I think I'm most suspicious of Dalinar, then Stick, then Cluny. However, I'm gonna leave my vote where it is for now to see what happens.
  22. LG33: Term 10, Month 1 - A kitten and defenestration Jak quietly collected his coins from his masked master. He asked no questions, only did as his master commanded, which was fortunate this time, as he had a very odd task before him, especially for an assassin. He padded down the alley, slipping across the great bridge from Imre to the university, passing Master Elodin whipping some students with candy strips. What in the world? Jak thought, but kept moving. His dark cowl nodded slowly as he counted off the streets leading up to the university. He breathed out sharply as he reached the correct street, turned down it, and walked to a small, ornate door with some writing on it. His hand flashed out, and he knocked a few times. There was a little bit of scuffling and cursing before an old man opened the door, peering at Jak blearily. "Whadjya wants?" The man asked. "You own this pet store, am I correct?" "Yah." The conferred quietly for a few minutes, and some money changed hands. Dragging a large bag behind him, Jak marched up to a large, prosperous inn closer to the university. He skulked around to the back and climbed up a drainpipe. Reaching the appropriate room, he opened the window, opened the bag, and spilled it out into the room. ***** Cluny lay on the ground beneath his bed, sleeping lightly. At a small grunt from outside his window, Cluny's eyes snapped open. Frowning, he retrieved his knife, crafted with the skulls of his enemies, from under his blanket and stood. A sack dropped in through the window. Cluny threw his knife, his long, muscled tail snapping out from beneath his shirt, grabbing a spear from over the hearth. He leveled the spear, waiting. Meow. Cluny froze. No... Dogs he could deal with. Wolves he could deal with. He could kill a dozen armed men in seconds, but a cat? Mewl! NO! Cluny thought. NONONONONONONO... The kitten crawled out from the sack. A smile bloomed across Cluny's hard features, and he reached down to pet it. The kitten's eyes were the size of saucers, twinkling merrily. There was a tiny noise as the cat unsheathed it's claws. The body was found the next day. (Joe broke out of the Crockery somehow! Defenestration was likely involved. ) Cluny was attacked by an Assassin and killed! He was a Skindancer Master Arithmetician! Joe broke out of the Crockery! A Name was used. 23. I'll try and respond to the most recent posts soon, but I'm busy with LG33's rollover and other stuff right now, so it probably won't be for like, 5 hours or something.
