It wasn't totally bandwagoning. Like Orlok mentioned, I told him in PM's last Night that I had some minor suspicion of you, and that you were really the only player I had any suspicion against at the time. I just didn't put my vote on you right away, because(I also told Orlok this), some of your posts later in the Day seemed more villagery, so I wanted to go back over things. I did read back through Day 1, but it was a quick readthrough, and it didn't really help me form solid opinions, so I just decided to add my vote to you since I didn't have a better lead and was still somewhat suspicious of you. That's because players were asking me about last cycles lynch! Fair point about me not voting until late in the Day. I did want to get a vote/solid suspicion up earlier, I just wasn't able to find anyone I thought was very suspicious. I don't see how that is anti-lynch though, which is what you were accusing me of. Not having solid suspicions doesn't mean I'm against others going after theirs if they have them. I can agree with putting pressure on a player without wanting them dead. And again, all of these posts were about D1, so you can't really say I've been anti-lynch. I'm not sure why you're so set on voting on me. So far you've given 2 reasons for being suspicious of me(Flash, and me being anti-lynch) that haven't been real reasons to be suspicious of me, and now you're laying down completely different accusations after I ask you to explain how I've been anti-lynch. Feels like you're just looking for reasons to be suspicious of me at this point. Yay! I know. It was intentional, because I don't really have reasons to suspect you, but I just have better reads on most other people, so elim/neutral kinda fits how I feel. Considering I have a CC banner in my signature, I feel like I should comment on this. I think the CC does get abused like you say, where it's just an easy out for people to feel like their contributing and don't have to take a risk by voting on an active player. Just about the only time I seriously consider it is if I think the current player up for the lynch is village and there's no time to argue about a better target. But even then, we wouldn't get information and it would ultimately probably hurt discussion. I would only do it if I had a very strong village read on someone, so for me, I'd be assuming that person was village from then on, but others would always have doubts, and would likely question my alignment too, so yeah, it's not a very useful option. PM'ing inactive/lurking players is a much better way to go, since you can try to get some opinions out of them or get them back in the game by including them. Oh, and one more thing is that I don't think a CC lynch should ever be brought up until very, very late in the Turn, otherwise discussion will be halted and we'll get even less information.

What weird anti-lynch stuff??? In one post at the end of Day 1, I said I'd be okay with not having a lynch. When have I ever mentioned not wanting a lynch this Cycle? I've explained my reasoning for the post about not wanting a lynch D1, but that's only because Orlok asked me about it. Please read back through my posts this Cycle. I'd very much appreciate you removing your vote once you do, since none of the reasons you've given for suspecting me are even valid. I mentioned earlier that I'd likely vote Drake, but that I wanted to review some more before I did so. Well, I'm busy right now, and I'm gonna be busy for pretty much the rest of the day, so I'm just going to put my vote down and try to get to reviewing later. Hopefully before the Day ends.

That comment about Flash was because he was killed in the Woods and converted over here, and because he was killed by the eliminators, that means he was village over there. There's a 40% chance you'll change alignment when you switch threads, which is the number I was using.
-
Okay, so, here's how I'm currently feeling about the Court players. Just my gut feeling on the players who don't have explanations next to them. Village: Budgie(got a PM with him and his posts read village to me), Clanky, BR, Ecthelion, Orlok(because I feel like if he were an elim, he'd have gone after someone besides Drake who he just killed C1 in the QF). Elim/neutral: Elbereth, Drake, Burnt, Shqueeves(1 post, which I thought was kinda suspicious). Kind of village, but not sure: Rand, Crimsn(initially was slightly suspicious of her, but her asking Aonar how much time was left in the night seemed like a village question, since an elim could ask in the doc. Tenuous reason to trust someone, I know). Inactives: Meta, Drought, Asterion. Flash - I feel like there's a 40% chance he's evil... Stink - Medium(I guess I'm leaning more towards him being village turned neutral than elim). I need to review more before I place a vote, but I'm leaning towards voting Drake, because I agree with Orloks reasoning.
-
Well I don't like contribution crusade lynching someone D1, and I think I've mentioned that in previous games, so you can trust me when I say I would not have been happy if Shqueeves had been lynched. Contribution Crusade lynches aren't really for information, they're for getting rid of inactives(and if someone's inactive, lynching them isn't going to give us information since they haven't really posted... ). Okay. Don't tunnel though.
-
I didn't support Shqueeves' lynch(I'd already said I was in favor of a no lynch), I just supported drawing attention to Shqueeves because he hadn't posted even though he'd been around.

Thanks, but randuir cleared that up for me, so I'm good. I agree with us Court players just focusing on other Court players for the lynch. Much simpler and nicer. xD Yeah, in most other situations, I'd have tried to push for a lynch, but almost the entire Cycle, no one had discussed the lynch, and multiple players had said nothing(or close to it ), and tied lynches result in a coin flip, so once a lynch got started, there would be small chance of players removing their votes to make sure nobody was actually lynched. And because it was so late, unless we were gonna lynch someone who wasn't around, we had a small pool of players to lynch from(this isn't LG35, because we started with 17 players), and no real suspects. So I would have felt bad lynching someone at that point. Welcome to the Court! We'll be keeping a close eye on you. Haha, well, like I said above, I do agree with just lynching players within your respective thread, so you should be safe(plus, maybe you're a Gunnerkrigg and we don't want to lynch you! ). We do have more players, but I seriously doubt every one of us in going to vote on a single player, or even that all of us will vote. So I'm not sure that's a problem. I was kind of thinking the same thing, actually, because if they're neutral(or elim), who's going to want to kill them enough that they need special protection?

So does this mean El is the Dragonslayer right now? Because it sounded like whoever you chose would be granted the power as soon as you chose.

Thanks for checking in at least! I imagine next Cycle will be a little better, since we'll(hopefully) get the lynch discussion going much earlier.

Wouldn't the only player who would do a last minute vote be an eliminator? So if they did that and then took the test, they'd have a 60% chance to be an eliminator in the new thread, and would probably be lynched immediately. I'm not sure if that should be a really worry. I don't mind the vote on @Shqueeves though. He's been online since the game started(he signed up for the new MR I think), but he hasn't posted yet. So his quietness it a little strange. I don't know if this has been mentioned, but does there need to be at least 2 votes for a lynch?

Yeah, I don't really think Winter has done anything suspicious so far. I've played quite a few games with winter, and this seems pretty normal to me. Anyways, it's kind of late, and there's a lot of absent players, so I'm not sure if I really want to have a lynch. I don't really have anyone I suspect at this point either...

That's only if enough people agreed to do it, which isn't likely. And if only a small amount of players do it, the rest of us will have to figure out a way to move forward. Sounds like chaos to me.

Well the game would be over...so does it really matter? It sounds much more interesting to end the game right away? I thought playing the game would be the most interesting way to go. Hmmm. Maybe you're just faking interest in the Test to try and make us think you're village by hinting that you have a 60% chance of winning by taking the Test and helping the elims in this thread to win? >> Stink, I thought you weren't going to cause chaos...

Is that even possible? And if it is, those who stayed village would probably lose, since there would most likely be a very high eliminator to villager ratio.

Hello. So, I suppose I should contribute. I don't mind if Stink is the medium I guess. I don't feel the need to vote for him though. I haven't completely grasped the rules yet, so I can't add much. We need to kill all of our eliminators before the other thread does, or before the other threads eliminators win. One thing I'm looking at right now is meetings. When a Medium calls a meeting, will the villagers in the other thread be eliminators to us? Which means we'd want to lynch their most confirmed player? Or would we even want to lynch one of them? I think we'd still want to try and lynch one of our players to try to get an eliminator(on our side), since the game can't end during a meeting, which means killing someone from the other thread doesn't really help us. I think. >> -Drake posted about the Medium/Dragonslayer- Yeah, considering everyone will know who the Dragonslayer is, and that their win con will change to only protecting the Medium, I don't think they'll be a large danger, even if an eliminator is chosen(not sure why I thought this, Rand brings up a good point >>). Of course, if we strip the Medium of their role, the Dragonslayer will go back to their previous alignment(I'm assuming), which means they might try to give themselves an advantage by killing instead of protecting the Medium. An Etheric Scientist and a Witch is a powerful combo. As for the Test, can a player do this in the middle of a Day/Night? Or is it set somewhere in the Order of Actions at the end of a Turn? Question for Aonar: If the Medium dies, what happens to the Dragonslayer, since they'll have failed their win con? Question about the Zeta role: Does this "Each player taken has a 20% chance to die, or change alignments (alignments beyond the simple Court/Forest split...)" mean that you can get an alignment besides Gunnerkrigg or Gillitie? That's all the questions I've got for now...

Quick Fix Game 25: A Sundered Sky
TheMightyLopen replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Anytime I get an extra life or something to survive longer, I feel like something's up. I'd had a weird feeling about Orlok since pretty early on, and when I posted my reasons for suspecting him and then voted on him, I did actually consider that the kills up to that point hinted at Orlok being evil. Sadly, that's when Stink told me he'd claimed Truthless, and that assuaged my suspicions since I wasn't entirely sure about Orlok, and him being Truthless seemed to explain away the reasons I had for suspecting him. At the end of the game, I started being worried that something was off, because of how Stink was acting, and because the players I thought were most likely to be the eliminators(Mage, Jondesu, Eternum, Sart) weren't acting like I thought they would as eliminators. I was positive that Winter, DA, Elith, and Ecth were good, due to knowing Stink was evil, so I was very confused. Sadly, I didn't put all of the pieces together. I was only suspicious of you at the end because I couldn't find any better suspects! I think you did pretty well for your first game, honestly. Sigh. One other reason I felt weird about the Stink lynch was because of those upvotes. I had a feeling they were ironic somehow. >> Thanks, I'll take consolation in your guilt. But for real, well played, and no hard feelings.- 714 replies

Quick Fix Game 25: A Sundered Sky
TheMightyLopen replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well then. To shed some light on what happened, Stink told me Orlok claimed Truthless to him, and eventually Orlok claimed directly to me, asking for my help. He said he knew all of the eliminators and would reveal one because he needed to kill 5 players to complete his win con, and since the eliminators knew he was the Truthless, he could only win with the village. So, he told me Stink was an eliminator at the end of last Cycle, which made me go after him this Cycle. I was worried something was up when I couldn't for the life of me figure out the eliminator team. Everyone seemed like they had good reasons to be good, and it turns out, they all were! Turns out, I should never play when there's secret roles involved. >> So, even though I kind of hate them right now, congrats and well played to Stink and Orlok. And to Elbereth...you're very cruel, y'know? :'(- 714 replies

I wasn't sure if I'd be running the next MR, but I think the QF has gone long enough that Seonid is gonna run it, so I'll sign up too! I'll just stick with Lopen for this one, since I haven't read any Gunnerkrigg(doesn't mean I won't, just that this is the first time I've heard about it ).

Quick Fix Game 25: A Sundered Sky
TheMightyLopen replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Magestar @Jondesu @Roadwalker @Sart @overlordjebus @Ecthelion III, mind adding your vote to Stink? I don't want a hammer to be pulled, and not voting leaves things wide open for one. Especially if they have vote manipulation. At this point, I don't think any of us voting on Stink are going to change our minds, so splitting the votes by voting someone else will more than likely end up working in the elims favor.- 714 replies

Quick Fix Game 25: A Sundered Sky
TheMightyLopen replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, it's something similar to what Mage just said about you. You're quick to throw out these theories, and you make it sound like you're sure that's what happened. So much so that it feels like an act to me. Like, back in the first cycle, you were very quick to "trust" Rae, when it's your very first game to play with her or at all. And now, in possibly the final cycle of the game(if we mislynch), you seem very slow to take a stance. Caution is good since we need to be careful, but I can't help but think you're hesitating because you want to see how the village thinks before you take your stance. I'm sticking with Stink.- 714 replies

Quick Fix Game 25: A Sundered Sky
TheMightyLopen replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, well, I just finished completely reading through the game. Here are the living players, with my reads on them: 1. Elith - pretty strongly village. 2. Magestar - somewhat of a mixed feeling, leaning elim right now. 3. Eternum - reading back over his posts, there were things I noticed that made me lean both ways, but in the end, I think there was more posts that I read as suspicious than villagery. Leaning elim. 4. Jebus - Not much of a read on him, but I think I'm leaning elim. 5. Orlok - still a little paranoid of, but reading back through things actually gave me a slightly better read on him. 6. Winter - very strong village read. 7. Roadwalker - weak village read. 8. Jondesu - weak elim read. I keep going back and forth with him though. (If Stink is an elim, I'd take a closer look at Jon, see below for the reason) 9. Stink - still fairly suspicious after reading over his posts. He seemed really confident that I was a villager. Doesn't seem like he ever really placed very many useful votes either. Also, from what I saw, I'm pretty sure the only players to ever question his alignment(at least with votes), were villagers(this is assuming Elith, Winter, and DA are villagers, which I'm pretty confident that they are). The remaining players(Mage, Eternum, jebus, roadwalker, Jon, Sart) haven't really given solid reads on him(except Eternum said he thought he was village). Jon put his read of Stink as just "Stink," even though he mentioned at the beginning of the game that he didn't want to ignore him(which is why he voted on him). Seems contradictory to me. 10. Lopen - Village. 11. DA - Village read. If Stink is an elim, strong village read. 12. Ecth - Still reading village, though he hasn't contributed much lately... 13. Sart - Kinda back to suspicious of him after reading through things, tbh. Going back and forth a lot though. Yeah, so, I'm really tired at this point, which is why I only did an in depth analysis of Stink, because I'm leaving my vote on him, so I wanted to put more of my reasoning out there for others to consider and for him to respond to. I would like to hear everyone's opinion, but specifically I'd like to hear from the players whose names I put in bold(this could possibly be the last Cycle, so please respond as soon as you can). And to everyone: VOTE!- 714 replies

Quick Fix Game 25: A Sundered Sky
TheMightyLopen replied to Elbereth's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ugh, this is depressing. In a while, I'm gonna try to do a complete analysis, but before I do, I'm gonna put my vote on Stink. Thinking back on last cycle, it was pretty odd how sure he was of my innocence. While we have talked a bit in PM's, I don't think I've said that much that would make him have such a strong belief in my innocence. This vote may change once I get my analysis done, but I'd like to hear others thoughts on this, so I wanted to post it before I did my analysis(it might be a while before I'm done).- 714 replies
